Two days back a sister from North India wrote to me,

"Before Kerala floods, the Lord asked me to go on a fast. I said,”Lord, I am not used to”. How can I go hungry? He said, “I will see to it. You will not feel hungry".

So she went on a 3 day full fast. Then the Lord started speaking to her.

The flood was sent by God for selection and separation. To separate his children from others. He said, “One more will come in to North, then in the east, then in Odisha. It all happened. Then the Lord showed a train accident. It also happened during dussera holidays. Through all these, He was selecting and separating. Then the Lord showed her an Army rising from the central part of India. They were moving to the east, west, north and south of India. When they moved a pillar of fire was also moving along with each one of them. So the whole India was on fire. It was a scary sight. The fire was burning everything that was unholyand unwanted in the nation".

Amo 3:7 "Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets".

Psa 25:14 "The friendship of Yahweh is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant".

It described the righteousness and justice of God. Many a times, when we hear about something bad or evil happening in our nation, we call upon God, but usually never expecting to get a reply. The Lord wants us to speak about His righteousness, as well as His love and compassion.

"Yahweh says, “Don’t let the wise man glory in his wisdom. Don’t let the mighty man glory in his might. Don’t let the rich man glory in his riches. But let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for I delight in these things,” says Yahweh." Jer 9:23, 24

God delights in listening to us when we talk about Him; How He exercises His loving kindness, justice and righteousness on the earth. Let us put an end to all the talks of human achievements.

Pastors: It's Time to Break the Silence on American Culture

A paraphrase that is often attributed to Alexis De Tocqueville—a Frenchman who authored Democracy in America in the early 1800s, helps to open this letter: “I looked throughout America to find where her greatness originated. I looked for it in her harbors and on her shorelines, in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and in her gold mines and vast world commerce, but it was not there.”

“It was not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her success. America is great because she is good, and if America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

Over the last few decades, Americans have seen the destruction of the institution of marriage between a man and a woman, the removal of God’s Word in several areas, and the blatant murdering of millions of babies. This is an indictment against America and the pulpit is partially responsible – our silence speaks volumes.

The pulpit regulates the spiritual condition of God’s people which affects the nation. A lukewarm, sex-saturated culture (and church) simply reflects the lack of conviction in the pulpit as well as the pew.

Sadly, many pastors are exchanging truth for passivity, boldness for cowardliness, and conviction for comfort…they are not aflame with righteousness. We aim to be motivational speakers rather than preachers of righteousness.

Pastors (and Christian leaders alike) must take responsibility for the spiritual health of today’s church, and the nation. We don’t need more marketing plans, demographic studies, or giving campaigns; we need men filled with the Spirit of God.
Pastors, we are not just cheerleaders, we are game changers. We are called to stir and to convict so that change takes place. Granted, there are many wonderful pastors and churches—I appreciate their ministry, but, as a whole, the church has drifted off course. They have lost the compass of truth. Here are four ways to re-set the compass.

Return to the prayer closet.Without prayer, “the church becomes a graveyard, not an embattled army. Praise and prayer are stifled; worship is dead. The preacher and the preaching encourage sin, not holiness…preaching which kills is prayerless preaching. Without prayer, the preacher creates death, and not life” (E.M. Bounds).

When God brings change, prayer has been the catalyst. Martin Luther prayed and the church was reformed. John Knox prayed and Scotland was revived. John Wesley prayed and America was restored. George Whitefield prayed and nations were changed. D.L. Moody prayed and America fell to her knees. Amy Carmichael prayed and India received the gospel. And so it goes…when you pray, you move the hand of God.

The dry, dead lethargic condition of the church simply reflects an impotent prayer life. While 5-minute devotionals and prayers are good, they aren’t going to cut it in these dire times. We need powerful times of prayer, devotion, and worship. “Without the heartbeat of prayer, the body of Christ will resemble a corpse. The church is dying on her feet because she is not living on her knees” (Al Whittinghill).

Sermons should not come from pop-psychology and the latest fad; they must come from the prayer closet where God prepares the messenger before we prepare the message. It takes broken men to break men. Unplug the tv, turn off Facebook, and get back into the Word of God, prayer, and worship.

Return to a separated life.If a pastor fills his mind with the world all week and expects the Spirit of God to speak boldly through him from the pulpit, he will be gravely mistaken. “The sermon cannot rise in its life-giving forces above the man. Dead men give out dead sermons, and dead sermons kill. Everything depends on the spiritual character of the preacher” (E.M. Bounds). Who he is all week is who he will be when he steps to the pulpit.
Worship must be a priority.A pastor who does not worship is not prepared to preach. Many sing “about” God but they have never truly experienced Him—head knowledge without heart knowledge. Styles of worship range from the old, beloved hymns to contemporary. All worship should be God-centered, Christ exalted, and doctrinally sound.

Worship allows us to shift our focus and praise toward God. Whether you prefer hymnals and organs or contemporary bands, is really not the issue. The issue is: are you truly worshipping God in “spirit and in truth”? He is the Creator of heaven and earth. He is not a cosmic force, universal love, or a doting grandfather; He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We must worship Him. He created, redeemed, and saved us. As one of the countless hymns declares so well, “O’ The Blood: washes me; shed for me…what a sacrifice that saved my life, yes the blood, it is my victory!”

Preach the difficult truths –they set people free. The church cannot neglect, water-down, or avoid preaching sin, repentance, or the fear of the Lord in the hope of not offending or securing an audience. Difficult truths often offend, and rightly so, sin put Christ on the cross. The goal of preaching is faithfulness to God, not crowd appeal. The church, as a whole, may have forgotten the fear of the Lord, but it doesn’t follow that we should.

Let it not be said of us today: And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord because pastors failed to be preachers of righteousness. The burden of responsibility rests squarely upon our shoulders. It’s our choice—stand, or fall!

But there is hope: “Therefore say to them, Thus declares the LORD of hosts: Return to me, says the LORD of hosts, and I will return to you…” (Zechariah 1:3). That’s a life changing promise – return to Him and He will return to you.

Inscription on Pottery Links Jerusalem of Jesus' Time to Jerusalem of Today

Israeli archaeologists uncovered a unique piece of pottery that links the Jerusalem of 2,000 years ago to the Jerusalem of today.

While conducting a pre-construction dig last winter in preparation for a new road, the team of archaeologists unearthed a pillar that was inscribed in Hebrew near the entrance to Jerusalem.

The Hebrew inscription was the first of its kind to be discovered from its time period around the age of Herod the Great, marking it as the oldest inscription ever found using the modern Hebrew spelling and pronunciation of "Jerusalem."

The pillar is now being displayed in Israel Museum's Second Temple gallery as a part of a new exhibit which features unique artifacts from the capital and is the oldest artifact from the time of Jesus in the exhibit.

The inscription reads, Hananiah bar Dodalos m'Yerushalayim – Hananiah, the son of Dodalos, from Jerusalem.

Dudi Mevorach, senior curator of Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine Archaeology at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem told CBN that this was a remarkable discovery. He said, "Jerusalem surprisingly for us is inscribed the same way we write it today and the same way we pronounce it today: Yerushalayim.”

He continued, "It's the first time we have an inscription of this sort from 2,000 years ago, from the times of the Second Temple Period."

According to CBN News, Mevorach has seen the name Yerushalayim appear on coins from around the same time, but the coins were from the great Jewish revolt against the Romans in 70 AD and would have had a political agenda, whereas the pottery does not appear to have the same motivation.

"Here, there is no agenda," Mevorach said. "It's just an artisan from a potter's village, stating his name, his father's name and stating that he is not from the village but originally he comes from the big city, from Yerushalayim, Jerusalem."

Mevorach continued, "We now know in a very simple manner that Yerushalayim, Jerusalem, was called Shalem, Yerushalem, and Yerushalayim at the same time, which we didn't know before.”

What Caused Noah's Flood? Shocking New Biblical Evidence Spooks Researchers

Some believe that discussing real-world evidence takes God "out of the equation" however, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Evidence (such as what is presented in this article) proves the validity of God in the Bible and ignoring evidence left behind by God for our edification only helps the secular world to deceive and bury Biblical truth with their own uncontested version of history. All of the events in the Bible took place by the will of God, but we also understand that throughout the Old Testament, there are countless examples of God using human armies, leaders and natural disasters to carry out His will. The Great Flood is no different, and the fact that evidence does indeed exist that explains this event just may be the proof that someone out there needs to revisit the Bible with an open heart.

The Bible appears to indicate that several of the approaching end-time events will be similar to those in Noah's day as Matthew 24:37 tells us "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man". Perhaps the most significant event in Noah's day was that which caused the destruction of the entire world by water commonly referred to as "Noah's Flood".

For centuries, churches have taught that the it rained for 40 days and nights, and by some miracle, this was able to flood the entire Earth over the highest mountains; whereas, scientific research claims that the math doesn't add up - making this event nothing more than an ancient myth. The truth, and shocking to most Christians, is that the Bible clearly states that rain was NOT the primary reason for flooding. In fact, the scripture state that "...on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open..." (Genesis 7:11). So, no longer is believing in the Great Flood a matter of faith, but is a matter of scientific fact - and the direct cause was something called a geographical pole shift which occurred thousands of years ago! Geographic shifts are ones in which the entire planet is suddenly and dramatically moved from its axis; causing untold devastation on Earth's surface. Of course, the Old Testament doesn't use the modern day term of "pole shift" when describing the great flood; however, it provides enough detail about the Earth before, during, and after the event to prove to us that an Axial Pole Shift did indeed occur; according to research conducted by Brent Miller at Ingenuity Films LLC.

First. We are told in Genesis 2:6 that in the early days of man, it never rained upon the Earth and that the entire surface was watered from the mist upon it. During this period before the flood, there were NO SEASONS or storms and the entire planet would have existed at a temperate equilibrium with tropical vegetation - including at what we would call our current North and South poles. In fact, petrified tropical trees have been recently discovered under the ice in Antarctica proving this statement! Scientifically, the only way to achieve this temperate paradise would be if the geographic axis of the Earth was parallel to that of the Sun, or in other words, at zero degrees. Genesis then clearly states that AFTER the flood (for the first time) there was a rainbow seen by Noah in the sky (Gen 9:13) which is was only now possible since precipitation never fell from the heavens which causes the light refraction necessary for a rainbow.

Today, the Earth's axis now sits at 23.5 degree which creates frozen poles, seasons, rain and violent storms as the uneven heating and freezing of the planet creates weather systems. But, let's back up and address exactly what the "fountains of the deep" explained in Genesis were and how was it able to flood the entire planet in such a short period of time. Quite simply, the fountains of the deep were the oceans themselves which makes up 71% of the Earth's surface. Basic physics models shows how the flood could have been caused by a shift in centripetal force and angular momentum exerted upon the oceans resulting from an axial pole shift - causing them to overflow their banks during the days and weeks the pole shift was occurring before the Earth stabilized into a new axial position.
Ours oceans have an average depth of 2.28 miles whereas the Earth's dry land has an average height of less than 0.5 mile, so it's easy to see that the entire planet could be completely covered by oceans many times over during such a catastrophic event. It would also take very little "shifting" of the planet to destroy virtually all life on Earth. During the shift, the waters would rapidly and violently erode the surface of the planet as unprecedented amounts of deep water flowed back and forth; covering mountain ranges with the force of thousands of pounds per square inch. We are told that the waters covered the world for 150 days before they began to recede. During this time most of the evidence for the existence population of the planet, including cities and roads, would be virtually entirely erased. Sites such as the Grand Canyon in the United States could have been formed by massive amounts of rushing ocean water in a matter of weeks or months rather than over millions of years as many geologists believe. This also explains why fossilized sea life and coral are found throughout the world's deserts as well on top of our highest mountain ranges!

Behold you have what is yours

For the past few weeks in my meditation of the Word of God, I am lingering on the same topic- parable of the talents.

“I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.” Mat 25:25

Let us note the word, "what is yours".

The Master is settling accounts. The one who received one talent, brought it back safe.

Here the technique of great commission, is explained. (Be formed and form disciples) What the Master gave to the three servants is called "Grace". Along with that "human labour" should be added. Grace with Human labour brings fantastic result. Paul felt that these two put together, in accurate proportion, can bring excellent result , i.e. "Perfection in Christ".

“ We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily”. Col 1:28-29

Grace is given by God.

Human efforts, (called labour) refers to 3 things here.

Proclamation
Admonition
Teaching in all wisdom.

In every stage, human labour should be added in proportion to "Grace".

Human striving should be according to "His working" (Grace)

All the failures in ministry can be explained in these terms.

Misproportion of Grace and human labour. Either of this is less or more.

In what we call "full time ministry" today, human effort (skills) are not added in proper proportion or not added at all. Result- Grace is wasted in great measure. Productivity is zero, less or even minus.

This explains the reason for the punishment of one talent servant.

North Korean Christians ‘Desperate’ for Bibles, Risking Death to Acquire a Copy

North Korea’s Christians are so hungry for a Bible that they’re willing to risk 15 years in a labor camp or even death to acquire a copy of God’s Word.

That’s according to Rachel Godwin of World Help, a Christian humanitarian organization that is working to smuggle 100,000 physical Bibles into the country.

“There are still countless believers across this dark nation who are desperate for Bibles,” Godwin wrote in a column for FoxNews. “Some people have never even seen a copy of the Scriptures in their life … but they know they would do anything to get their hands on one.”

Godwin recounted a true story of a small group of North Korean Christians getting in a fishing boat early one morning and traveling to the center of a river so they could read God’s Word together -- away from government ears and eyes. They hid their Bible underneath fishing gear.

“This is the only place where they feel safe enough to worship together and study God’s Word,” Godwin wrote. “And even then, they are constantly on alert. If they are caught reading the Bible, they could immediately be sentenced to 15 years in a labor camp – or worse. They’ve heard the stories of what happens to people who are heard speaking the name of Jesus.

“Many of them,” Godwin added, “have family members and friends who are living in the camps now … or have been buried there.”

But there are not enough Bibles for every Christian, Godwin wrote. Even among the Christians in the fishing boat, each copy was “practically falling apart.”

“After years of being carefully studied and then hidden over and over again, the bindings have come loose and pages are beginning to slip out,” she wrote. “Many of the Bibles have water damage from these early morning meetings on the boat. But they are still these Christians’ prized possessions … they risk their lives for these Bibles.”

Godwin told how the Christians were given new Bibles by a World Help representative, who took the tattered Bibles back to the hotel and hid them. They soon disappeared, though, when a janitor found them.

“It turns out that he was a Christian himself, and his tiny house church of four people had been praying for Bibles,” Godwin wrote.

Nurse Who Was Fired for Telling Patients about Jesus Has Name Cleared

A British nurse who was fired for telling patients about her Christian faith was cleared last week following a two-year investigation.

Sarah Kuteh – who has 15 years of experience -- worked at Darent Valley Hospital. As part of her job, she was required to ask patients about their faith during a pre-operation assessment questionnaire. This naturally led to conversations with some patients about her Christian faith, according to Christian Concern, a United Kingdom organization.

“I would … reassure them, based on the joy and peace that I really have found in Jesus,” she said.

But a few patients complained, leading to her dismissal in June 2016. Even worse, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) placed restrictions on her future employment. She found another job, but due to the restrictions she was required to have a senior nurse oversee her.

“All I had done was to nurse and care for patients,” she said. “How could it ever be harmful to tell someone about Jesus?”

But last week, the NMC dropped the restrictions, clearing her name. The NMC ruled, “It is in the public interest to return an otherwise experienced and competent nurse into practice.”

She was represented by the Christian Legal Centre.

“But for the question on the pre-op assessment questionnaire, these conversations would not have taken place,” Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, said in a statement. “Without proper investigation, she was fired and her long career as a nurse put under threat. Those who know Sarah recognise what a caring, hard-working nurse she is, and the professionalism she brings to her job. Although it’s disappointing that she was ever penalised for her actions – which were wholly motivated by compassion – we rejoice that Sarah is once again free to bring her skill and expertise to her role as a nurse.”

The Annihilation of Iraq's Christian Minority

"Another wave of persecution will be the end of Christianity after 2,000 years" in Iraq, an Iraqi Christian leader recently said. In an interview earlier this month, Chaldean Archbishop Habib Nafali of Basra discussed how more than a decade of violent persecution has virtually annihilated Iraq's Christian minority.

Since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, the Christian population has dropped from 1.5 million to about 250,000 -- a reduction of 85%. During those 15 years, Christians have been abducted, enslaved, raped and slaughtered, sometimes by crucifixion; a church or monastery has been destroyed about every 40 days on average, said the archbishop.

While it is often assumed that the Islamic State (ISIS) was the source of the persecution, since that terror group's retreat from Iraq, the situation for Christians has barely improved. As the archbishop said, Christians continue to suffer from "systematic violence" designed to "destroy their language, to break up their families and push them to leave Iraq."

According to the "World Watch List 2018" report, Christians in Iraq -- the eighth-worst nation in the world in which to be Christian -- are experiencing "extreme persecution," and not just from "extremists."

Although "Violent Religious Groups" (such as the Islamic State) are "Very Strongly" responsible, two other societal classes seldom associated with the persecution of Christians in Iraq are also "Very Strongly" responsible, the report states: 1) "Government officials at any level from local to national," and 2) "Non-Christian religious leaders at any level from local to national." Also, three other societal groups -- 1) "Ethnic group leaders," 2) "Normal citizens (people from the general public), including mobs," and 3) "Political parties at any level from local to national" -- are all "Strongly" responsible for the persecution of Christians in Iraq. In other words, virtually everyone is involved.

The report elaborates:

"Violent religious groups such as IS and other radical militants are known for targeting Christians and other religious minorities through kidnappings and killings. Another source of persecution are Islamic leaders at any level, mostly in the form of hate-speech in mosques. Government officials at all levels are reported to threaten Christians and 'encourage' them to emigrate. Also, normal citizens in the north have reportedly made remarks in public, questioning why Christians are still in Iraq."

Several regional Christian leaders confirm these findings. According to Syriac Orthodox bishop, George Saliba:

"What is happening in Iraq is a strange thing, but it is normal for Muslims, because they have never treated Christians well, and they have always held an offensive and defaming stand against Christians.... We used to live and coexist with Muslims, but then they revealed their canines [teeth].... [They do not] have the right to storm houses, steal and attack the honor of Christians. Most Muslims do this, the Ottomans killed us and after that the ruling nation-states understood the circumstances but always gave advantage to the Muslims. Islam has never changed."

Father Douglas al-Bazi -- an Iraqi Catholic parish priest from Erbil who still carries the scars from torture he received 9 years earlier -- made the same observation:

I'm proud to be an Iraqi, I love my country. But my country is not proud that I'm part of it. What is happening to my people [Christians] is nothing other than genocide. I beg you: do not call it a conflict. It's genocide... When Islam lives amidst you, the situation might appear acceptable. But when one lives amidst Muslims [as a minority], everything becomes impossible.... Wake up! The cancer is at your door. They will destroy you. We, the Christians of the Middle East are the only group that has seen the face of evil: Islam.

The Iraqi government is complicit -- when not actively participating -- in the persecution. As one Christian man explained after being asked why Christians in Iraq do not turn to governmental authorities for protection:

"Contacting the authorities forces us to identify ourselves [as Christians], and we aren't certain that some of the people threatening us aren't the people in the government offices that are supposed to be protecting us."

When Christians do take the risk of reaching out to local authorities, police sometimes rebuke them with comments like, "[you] should not be in Iraq because it is Muslim territory."

The Iraqi government has only helped foster such anti-Christian sentiments. In late 2015, for instance, it passed a law legally forcing Christian and all other non-Muslim children to become Muslim if their fathers convert to Islam or if their Christian mothers marry a Muslim.

Government-sponsored school curricula present indigenous Christians as unwanted "foreigners," although Iraq was Christian for centuries before it was conquered by Muslims in the seventh century. As a Christian politician in the Iraqi Ministry of Education explained:

"There's almost nothing about us [Christians] in our history books, and what there is, is totally wrong. There's nothing about us being here before Islam. The only Christians mentioned are from the West. Many Iraqis believe we moved here. From the West. That we are guests in this country."

"If the Christian children say they believe in Jesus" in school, notes one report, "they face beatings and scorn from their teachers."

Most telling is that the Iraqi government hires and gives platforms to radical clerics whose teachings are nearly identical to those of the Islamic State. Grand Ayatollah Ahmad al-Baghdadi, for instance, one of the nation's top Shia clerics, explained during a televised interview the position of non-Muslims living under Muslim rule:

"If they are people of the book [Jews and Christians] we demand of them the jizya [a tax on non-Muslims] -- and if they refuse, then we fight them. That is if he is Christian. He has three choices: either convert to Islam, or, if he refuses and wishes to remain Christian, then pay the jizya. But if they still refuse -- then we fight them, and we abduct their women, and destroy their churches -- this is Islam!...This is the word of Allah!"

Considering that Muslims in Iraq are indoctrinated by such an anti-Christian rhetoric from early youth -- starting in the schoolrooms and continuing in the mosques -- it should probably not be a surprise that many Muslims turn on neighboring Christians whenever the opportunity presents itself.

In one video, for example, a traumatized Christian family from Iraq tell of how their young children were murdered -- burned alive "simply for wearing the cross." The mother explained how the "ISIS" that attacked and murdered her children were their own Muslim neighbors, with whom they ate, laughed, and to whom they even provided educational and medical service -- but who turned on them.

When asked who exactly threatened and drove Christians out of Mosul, another Christian refugee said:

"We left Mosul because ISIS came to the city. The [Sunni Muslim] people of Mosul embraced ISIS and drove the Christians out of the city. When ISIS entered Mosul, the people hailed them and drove out the Christians.... The people who embraced ISIS, the people who lived there with us... Yes, my neighbors. Our neighbors and other people threatened us. They said: 'Leave before ISIS get you.' What does that mean? Where would we go?... Christians have no support in Iraq. Whoever claims to be protecting the Christians is a liar. A liar!"

Iraq's Christians are on the verge of extinction, less because of ISIS, and more because virtually every rung of Iraqi society has been, and continues to be, chipping away at them.

"If this is not genocide," said Chaldean Archbishop Habib Nafali towards the end of a recent interview, "then what is?"

Faithful and wise servant

These days I met a young girl who is living abroad with her husband. While her in between laws were visiting her, there occurred some misunderstanding and conflict them. They came away along with her son to India, without informing her. She was smart enough to find out which flight they are travelling, struggled to get a ticket in the same flight and reached India. They instead of going to their house went to another house, for fear of her following them. She traced the number waited in a car hours together but was not able to talk to her husband since the house was blocked. Finally she had to leave the place and leave to her workplace abroad thoroughly broken. This is one of the numberless problems coming up around us daily. In this advanced society, people, even believers are starving.

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season? Mat 24:45

Who is this servant? For this question, the answer is "you" and “me”

Duty of the servant = giving food.

"Faithful and wise" are the adjectives.

FAITHFUL Servant

Giving food in season, out of season, (PS 1:3, 2 Tim 4:2,)
Giving to all – rich or poor, irrespective of caste and creed, to all classes of society.
Giving fresh food, not old - Every day get it fresh from heaven and serve it fresh.
Till the end of your life go on giving. There is no retirement.

WISE Servant

A wise servant will know what food to serve at what time. All kinds of food are available in the "Word of God" but all are not suitable to nor does digestible by all at all time.

A wise servant will have the discernment in this.

Food for infants, Children, Grownups, Athletes, Those who are on diet etc.

How the food should be served?

In a way it is digestible. It should not cause any indigestion or vomiting.

Let me be a faithful and wise servant in serving the food, the Word of God, till the Master comes either in the Second Coming or at my departure from this world.

27 Children Give Their Lives to Jesus during Bible Camp in Peru

At a Bible camp hosted by Siloam Christian Ministries in Peru, dozens of children gave their lives to Jesus.

According to Christian Today, Siloam Christian Ministries, a UK-based ministry, hosted a Bible camp for impoverished and underprivileged youths from the Coma district of Lima, Peru.

Christian Today reports that 66 children between the ages of 12 and 16 attended the camp where they played games, did crafts, participated in Bible studies and worshiped together.

According to Siloam Ministries, 27 children gave their lives to Jesus by the end of the camp.

The ministry noted that most of the kids who attended the camp came from “one-parent or dysfunctional families” and as such volunteers at the camp were specially trained to engage with the kids.

"It takes about three days for youngsters to really express how they feel about themselves and their difficult home situations," Camp director Margot Alzamora said. "Our caring teachers and counselors are trained to engage with the children and the issues they face."

According to CBN News, the theme for the camp was "Our Eternal Father," and volunteers sought to teach the children to look past their circumstances and know that they have a God who loves them.

"Our ethos is to reach out with the Gospel wherever needed most," the director of Siloam UK Richard Norton said. "That is why we chose to partner with local believers for our first-ever Bible Camp in Peru."

Siloam Christian Ministries has projects all over the world including the Philippines, India, Portugal and Ghana, which aim to educate people on the bible and provide social and medical relief to people in need.

Bible Took Bullets, Saved WWI Veteran’s Life

The daughter of a British World War I veteran says a bullet-scarred pocket Bible saved her father’s life.

Ena Thompson, 87, described during a recent speech at the Royal British Legion’s 2018 Poppy Appeal how her father’s life was spared.

Her father, 23-year-old Private Leslie Friston, was recovering in a hospital bed from a gas attack when a German plane flew overhead in 1917 and machine-gunned the building, Sky News reported. The Bible was on his bedside table. Without the Bible, the bullets could have ricocheted and killed Friston.

“He said the Bible saved his life as it took the brunt of the attack,” Thompson said.

She added, “If the bullets had landed just a few inches further towards him, he would not have survived -- and I wouldn’t be here today.”

Thompson now owns the Bible.

“It still has his name and his service number in it which he wrote,” she said.

“When I hold the Bible I just get a special feeling. It might sound a bit strange but it makes me feel comfortable and happy. It’s a nice feeling that it saved his life. It makes me feel close to him.”

Like many veterans, Friston did not want to talk about the war, Thompson said. His younger brother died during it but his older brother survived, Sky News reported. He died in 1958.

“I used to ask him ‘Would you tell me about the war...?’ and he would say ‘No, I don’t want to talk about it,’” Thompson said.

A Perfect Storm Is Brewing: America In Crisis

Will we someday look back on October 2018 as the turning point? As the month began, people were generally feeling pretty good about things, and the U.S. stock market quickly set a new all-time high. But from that point on, the wheels fell off for Wall Street.

We just witnessed the worst October for U.S. stocks since the financial crisis of 2008, and at this point more than 8 trillion dollars of global wealth has been completely wiped out. But it isn't just the stock market that is being shaken.

The horrific violence in Pittsburgh is just the latest in a string of events that have rattled the entire nation. Sometimes I feel like I am literally watching the fabric of our society come apart right in front of my eyes. It is almost as if there is a tangible presence of evil in the air, and it seems to be getting stronger over time.

For quite a while I have been warning that levels of anger and frustration are rising to unprecedented levels, and all of that anger and frustration is leading people to do things that are absolutely unthinkable. And if people are this crazed now, how bad are things going to get once the economy really starts unraveling?

Let there be no doubt - if U.S. stocks crash really hard, it will cause a massive credit crunch, and that would absolutely strangle economic activity.

Yes, October was bad, but we can recover from what happened in October.

But if November and December are equally as bad or worse, we could have a nightmarish crisis on our hands very rapidly. And many experts believe that this market is ultimately going to decline much, much further.

For example, just consider what Wolf Richter is saying...

So it boils down to this: Some stocks have gotten crushed, but the market overall has barely been dented - though the fundamentals are rotten, shares are still ludicrously overpriced, enthusiasm is still exuberant except on bad days, and blind faith in annually rising stock prices still reigns. And the fact that stocks like Tesla or Netflix continue to levitate beyond all reality shows that this downturn has a long way, and years, to go.

But when I talk about a "perfect storm", I am not just talking about money.

For years, I have been warning that the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted on a daily basis is rapidly disappearing, and the events of this past week made this exceedingly clear...

Wednesday, a white man with a history of violence shot and killed two African-Americans, seemingly at random, at a Kentucky Kroger store following a failed attempt to barge into a black church.

After mail bombs were being sent to people who'd been criticized by the President, a suspect was arrested Friday -- a man who had railed against Democrats and minorities with hate-filled messages online.

And Saturday morning, a man shouting anti-Semitic slurs opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue, killing 11 people attending Jewish services.

I will not ever be able to understand the kind of hate that we have been witnessing. I have always preached against racism, and I even included an entire chapter against racism in my latest book. There is absolutely no room for racism in America, but it just seems to keep growing.

We are facing overwhelming challenges as a society, and if we do not learn how to love one another there is no way that we are going to make it.

This is a time of great governmental shaking as well. On November 6th, some candidates will win and some candidates will lose, but the hatred being expressed on both sides will not go away. Sadly, the truth is that there are corrupt politicians all around us, and the American people have been rapidly losing faith in our system. If the corruption is not cleaned up and some way is found to restore faith in our system of government, it is only a matter of time before it collapses.

On top of everything else, we also live at a time of impending global conflict. A major regional war could erupt in the Middle East at any time, and Russia and China are openly warning that they are "preparing for war" with the United States. World War 3 is a lot closer than people realize, and the fact that our relationships with both Russia and China are rapidly going downhill is a major concern.

And of course the planet itself is increasingly becoming unstable. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions appear to be growing in both size and intensity, and massive storms have been hammering communities all over the globe in recent months.

The giant rock that we all live on is rapidly changing, and many believe that the Earth changes that we are currently witnessing are going to escalate dramatically in the years ahead.

Many ordinary Americans seem unconcerned about everything that is going on, and perhaps that is because they are unaware of the bigger picture. But the elite are definitely freaking out. In fact, the New York Times just published an article about how demand for private security services is higher than ever...

At Pinkerton, a private security and detective agency founded in 1850, requests for executive security have increased 20 to 30 percent annually over the last five years, said its vice chairman, Tim Williams. And people are looking for safeguards in all areas of their lives that pose risks, experts say, including information technology and social media.

"People are scared right now," Mr. Williams said.

And some among the elite even have plans to hop on private jets and leave the country (to NZ) completely when everything starts hitting the fan.

We are entering a time that will cause many to have great fear, but now is not a time to be scared.

It is when times are the darkest that light is needed the most, and I believe that this coming "perfect storm" will be an absolutely thrilling time to be alive.

Yes, life is going to become a lot more uncomfortable for all of us, but it is during times of great challenge that we find out what is truly inside of us. This will be a time when some will show that they are great villains, but many will also emerge as great heroes.

We have reached a critical juncture in human history, and everything is about to change. I would encourage you to be a light in the darkness, because that is going to be greatly needed in the days ahead.

Removes a yoke

“I guided them with human kindness, with loving reins. I acted toward them like one who removes a yoke from their neck; I bent down and fed them”. Hos 11:4

The Lord Jehovah reveals Himself as the one who removes the yoke from our neck. What are the yokes we are carrying today?

The heaviest yoke human beings are carrying today is “religion”. Anybody can be fooled in the name of God or religion in India. Indians are such God seekers that any human being, any animal, any plant, any object on earth can be considered as holy if associated with some “God” or religion. In one of the Activating Prophecy Class a testimony was shared by one sister like this.

‘Close to our house, there was an open land where a pumpkin plant grew by itself. When it blossomed, one lady noticed some image inside of it. She said to her neighbor, “Look, there is the image of …..god inside the flower”. Her friend believed it and she spread this news to a few other ladies. All of them came to see this. Soon people started coming there with incense, offerings, coconut etc.. They all believed that their God has appeared in that flower. The crowd increased day by day. News reached the owner of the vacant land where this plant grew. One fine morning he came with a knife, cut the plant off and burned it. Thanks to that man and his wisdom. If allowed to grow, very soon a temple would have been built there and devotees would have flown in thousands. This is seen in all the religions, even in Christianity. Satan spreads rumours and stories to gather people towards him so that he can deceive them and get their worship.

Jesus came to this world to remove all the yokes which rulers, religions, society, cultures, customs etc…have placed on the shoulders of human beings. All yokes are oppressive. “Christian Religion” formed by Constantine Caesar, the king, imposed a full load of rituals on Christians with political motives. Religions, including Christianity has become the biggest and the most flourishing business in the world. They use all names of Gods, including Jesus Christ to gather maximum number of people to themselves, and to accumulate wealth.

The true followers of Jesus Christ those who have shaken off the “yoke of religion” from their shoulders, enjoy life and rest with Jesus, who promised ‘Rest’ to His followers. (Heb 4:11,16, Mat 11:28,30)

As per the above verse Love in the society has grown cold and wickedness has increased. With growing wickedness and without love among the people, the society will destroy itself. To transform this state the Lord has revealed to his children through Sr Angelica to start a social movement to proclaim love of Jesus, hence Transformation India Project was started in the year 2017.

The first meeting was held in Trust conference hall Nungambakkam on 06-04-2017 and the project was launched in a National meet held at Padapai on 16-06-2017. Transform India Project is a social reformation project which is based on the greatest commandment of God that is Love.

Medical camps, training institutes, tuition centers, skill development training, natural farming, gardening, water conservation, old age home, waste management, counseling centers, tailoring and similar social activities were conducted. Believers were encouraged to take these social activities among the less fortunate and needy. New entrepreneurs were encouraged with plans based on these social activities and Love.

On 11, 12 August 2018 TIP skill development program on Natural Farming was held in Dr Charles Elders Community, Chennai. Fifty people attended the program and gained knowledge and developed interest in Natural Farming. Mr Sunil John from Nagpur came down to Chennai to teach the principles and biblical basis of natural farming. Theory and practical training was given to the participants on natural farming.

Mr Sunil John is a disciple from the state of Kerala who went towards the northern part of India to do the Lord Ministry. The project aims to enable a person too unconditionally help the any person in need. The parable of the Samaritan, who unconditionally helped the half dead man, is our example. Trump May Reverse Obama's Decision and Define Gender by Biology, Not Choice

The Trump administration may narrow the federal definition of gender to involve only a person’s biology, thus reversing an action taken by the Obama administration, according to a leaked memo reported in The New York Times.

The memo circulated within the Department of Health and Human Services says federal departments need a standard “biological” definition of gender that “is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.” Under the proposed change – which would affect Title IX -- gender would be defined as what a person is at birth, and not what he/she decides later in life.

Title IX is a 1972 law that prevents discrimination “under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

“Sex means a person’s status as male or female based on immutable biological traits identifiable by or before birth,” the memo states. “The sex listed on a person’s birth certificate, as originally issued, shall constitute definitive proof of a person’s sex unless rebutted by reliable genetic evidence”

If adopted, the proposed rule would have a major impact on the transgender debate.

The Times noted that a series “of decisions by the Obama administration loosened the legal concept of gender in federal programs” – including in education and healthcare – to recognize gender “largely as an individual’s choice and not determined by the sex assigned at birth.”

“The policy prompted fights over bathrooms, dormitories, single-sex programs and other arenas where gender was once seen as a simple concept,” The Times noted

Sudan Releases 13 Christians Arrested in Darfur after Torture, Threats

JUBA, South Sudan, October 23, 2018 (Morning Star News) – After torturing them and threatening to charge them with serious crimes, authorities in Sudan have released 13 Christians arrested in the Darfur Region, sources said. Personnel from Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) released 12 of the Christians by Sunday (Oct. 21) and freed church leader Tajaldin Idriss Yousif on Monday, all without charges, but they threatened to charge the native Darfur evangelist and others with apostasy, public disturbance and crimes against the state, sources said.

“All of them were said to be tortured by NISS and are in bad shape,” a source said. “One of them is said to be in critical condition owing to torture. He is said to have been vomiting and bleeding. He was rushed to a hospital, but he was not attended to by the physicians in that hospital.” The 13 Christians from four different house churches were worshipping together on Oct. 10 in Nyala, capital of South Darfur state in western Sudan’s Darfur Region, when NISS officers disrupted the service and arrested them, sources said.

NISS authorities did not give any reason for the arrests, but sources said they are targeting converts from Islam from Darfur and, in south-eastern Sudan, South Kordofan state. Three of the Christians were said to be from the Nuba Mountains area in the country’s southeast. The Christians were not taken to any court of law during their nearly two weeks of jail and interrogation. Along with team leader Yousif, arrested were members of his church Alfadil Ismail Alnil, Ahmed Mohammed Hassan, Neseraldin Osman, Shemen Ahmed Shemen and Abubaker Biri.

Other Christians arrested were identified only as Kamal, Abdullah, Mutasim, Mujahid, El Sadik Afendi, Bolis Suliman and Abdel Maseh. NISS, widely known as a notorious agency staffed by hard-line Islamists, may hold people in detention for up to four and a half months without charges. Following the secession of South Sudan in 2011, Sudan President Omar al-Bashir vowed to adopt a stricter version of sharia (Islamic law) and recognize only Islamic culture and the Arabic language. Church leaders said Sudanese authorities have demolished or confiscated churches and limited Christian literature on the pretext that most Christians have left the country following South Sudan’s secession.

The Sudanese Minister of Guidance and Endowments announced in April 2013 that no new licenses would be granted for building new churches in Sudan, citing a decrease in the South Sudanese population. Sudan since 2012 has expelled foreign Christians and bulldozed church buildings on the pretext that they belonged to South Sudanese. Besides raiding Christian bookstores and arresting Christians, authorities threatened to kill South Sudanese Christians who do not leave or cooperate with them in their effort to find other Christians.

Sudan fought a civil war with the South Sudanese from 1983 to 2005, and in June 2011, shortly before the secession of South Sudan the following month, the government began fighting a rebel group in the Nuba Mountains that has its roots in South Sudan. Due to its treatment of Christians and other human rights violations, Sudan has been designated a Country of Particular Concern by the U.S. State Department since 1999. Sudan ranked fourth on Christian support organization Open Doors’ 2018 World Watch List of countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian.

The Swedish Are Micro-Chipping Themselves By The Thousands

Thousands of people in Sweden are microchipping themselves in an effort to make their daily lives easier and speed up their day but what are the long term consequences of such actions? According to a report by NPR, the microchips can be used for a plethora of different things. The chips are designed to speed up users' daily routines and make their lives more convenient when accessing their homes, offices, and gyms.

The microchips make it is as easy as swiping their hands against digital readers. The microchips can also be used to store emergency contact details, social media profiles, e-tickets for events, and rail journeys within Sweden. At least one scientist is speaking out on the possible negative outcomes of having a massive number of people microchipped. Ben Libberton, a British scientist based in southern Sweden, is among those starting to campaign for lawmakers to keep a closer eye on developments.

"What is happening now is relatively safe. But if it's used everywhere, if every time you want to do something and instead of using a card you use your chip, it could be very, very easy to let go of personal information," he says. Libberton, a trained microbiologist now working in science communication, says one of his main concerns is how the chips could be used to share data about our physical health and bodily functions. "Because it's implanted in your body, when more health-related information starts being used and incorporated into the chip and being transmitted -- that could create an extra layer of privacy that we really need to look at and take care of before it's widely used," he says according to NPR. So many in Sweden are signing up to be chipped that the main company producing the microchips says it cannot keep up with the demand for this technology. More than 4,000 Swedes have decided the technology would be perfect for them and have a microchip embedded in their hand, but with one company, Biohax International, dominating the market, demand is outpacing supply.

The chipping firm was started five years ago by Jowan Österlund, a former professional body piercer. After spending the last two years working full time on the project, Österlund is currently developing training materials so he can hire Swedish doctors and nurses to help take on some of his heavy workloads. Having different cards and tokens verifying your identity to a bunch of different systems just doesn't make sense," Österlund says. "Using a chip means that the hyper-connected surroundings that you live in every day can be streamlined."

As a result of such changes the amount of hard cash in circulation has decreased by 40 percent in the last 7 years. Sweden is even beginning to look at doing away with physical money in favor of a completely digital currency which may such a microchip under the skin.Commuters in Sweden are an example of trading cash for convenience as several hundred have already been chipped to be able to use the SJ Rail transit system. The train conductor can then simply read the chip with a smartphone to confirm the passenger has paid for their journey. See the video below:Although there are advantages to microchip technology, opponents have pointed out a wide range of risks and concerns that come along with it.

Infringement on Privacy

One of the main concerns about implanting microchips is that it infringes on personal privacy. Even if a person should volunteer for the implant, there is a good chance that they are not fully considering the level of privacy that they are giving up. Furthermore, as in the case with the company in Wisconsin, there could be a certain level of peer or other pressure that may force someone to "volunteer" for the implant.

Tracking

Along with giving up some level of personal privacy, those that have a microchip implanted are also risking that they could be tracked. Over the past few years, it has become more and more clear how much of our information is being tracked by the major Internet and social media companies. With microchips, depending on the chip's design and how it is programmed, a company could track even more of your daily life, including your location, how much time you spend sleeping, and what you spend your money on. It also remains to be seen how this accumulation of data could be used against you in the future.

There has already been proposals to use microchip implant tracking with criminals and immigration procedures and while these past proposals might have failed it is only a matter of time before they come up again.

Hacking

Another concern that many people have is that there will always be a risk of hacking into the microchips and databases. Although microchip implants are considered to be very secure and difficult to break into, hackers always seem to be a step ahead of security measures. If someone is able successfully to hack into your microchip account, they may be able to replicate your chip. In these situations, it would be incredibly easy for a hacker to easily steal your identity and make major purchases in your name.

Big Brother

The fourth concern about microchip technology is that it is just the first step towards a "Big Brother" society that is depicted in the book "1984". In the novel, all people in a fictional society are chipped and tracked on an ongoing basis, as there is an utter loss of freedom. Even though the current use of the microchips may seem extremely limited compared to the uses depicted in the novel, it clearly could be a first step in that terrifying direction.

It is easy to see a few positive benefits to chipping. Animals have long been chipped as a means of inventory and disease control, to say nothing of recovering lost or stolen pets. Persons with compromised mental capacity, e.g. Alzheimer's, who wander off and get lost could greatly benefit from having a chip. An NBC News report last year asserted the microchipping of children will happen "sooner rather than later" due to parental safety concerns and that Americans will eventually accept the process as something just as normal as the barcode.

"It's not a matter of if it will happen, but when," electronics expert Stuart Lipoff told the network.

Pre-Conditioning For The "Mark" of Revelation

The Book of Revelation warns that during the Tribulation every person will be required to accept a mark which will signify worship of a one world leader and be necessary for commerce: "And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark -- the name of the beast or the number of its name. Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is six hundred sixty-six". Revelation 13:16-18

Most Christians recognize that current chip implants are not the actual "mark of the beast", yet there is concern that acceptance of such technology is conditioning people for when the real one does come along. What often starts off as voluntary can just as easily become mandatory and whereas tech itself may be neutral, in the hands of the wrong person it could be extremely dangerous. Imagine the technology of today in the hands of Hitler.

Christians have long debated the meaning of the "mark of the beast". Our generation, however, appears to be the first to have the technology to fulfill this prophecy. Soon, you may have to answer the question: 'would you get chipped'?

What to do during rest, during war?

In our life there is a time of peace, and times of troubles.

“…a time for war, and a time for peace.” Ecc 3:8

For Solomon, son of King David, it was time of peace. There was no foreign enemy or domestic crisis. Everything was under his perfect control.

For us believers in India, this is the time of war. After 2020, the Lord has promised us rest.

God accused His priests through prophet Ezekiel that they did not protect the children of Israel during war.

“You didn't go up to repair the breaches in the walls and you didn't build the walls so Israel's house would be able to endure battle on the Day of the LORD”. Eze 13:5

What happens if you do not indulge yourself in war when you are supposed to?

During the time of war, David sent all his Army for war but he himself remained in the palace. The enemy tempted him in such a way that his whole life after that, ended up in misery. (2 Sam 11:1-7)

His life of warfare within the family started after that. But David was given a promise by the Lord.

1 Ch 22:9 but look! A son born to you will live comfortably, because I will give him rest from all his enemies that surround him on every side, since his name will be "Solomon"—I will give peace and quiet for Israel during his lifetime.

Solomon lived in a time of peace.

What should we do during the time of Peace?

Deu 8:11-20 Be careful! Otherwise, you will forget the LORD your God by failing to keep his commands, ordinances, and statutes that I'm commanding you this day. Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you have built beautiful houses and lived in them, when your cattle and oxen multiply, when your silver and gold increase, then you will become arrogant. You'll neglect the LORD your God…, to humble and test you so that things go well with you later. "You may say to yourselves, 'I have become wealthy by my own strength and by my own ability.' But remember the LORD your God, because he is the one who gives you the ability to produce wealth …Just like the nations whom the LORD destroyed before you, so will you be destroyed, because you did not listen to the voice of the LORD

When we have enough and plenty, when we eat and are satisfied, we should not forget the Lord our God to praise and thank Him counting each blessing we received from Him and humble ourselves.

Christian Pilot Says Holy Spirit Moved Him to Takeoff Just before Earthquake Hit Indonesia

Captain Icoze Mafella, a Christian airline pilot, told a Jakarta church that he was moved by the Holy Spirit to depart from the Palu airport early on September 28, the day Indonesia was struck by an earthquake and tsunami. Mafella recalled feeling uneasy that day, so he decided to sing worship songs in the cockpit to calm his nerves. He said, "Usually I only hummed, but that day I wanted to praise the Lord as best I could."

He recalled that his Muslim co-pilot joked with him saying, "I think you should make a CD of worship songs." As the pilots began to descend their incoming flight from Ujung Pandang to Palu they noticed that the wind was abnormally strong. This was when Mafella said he "heard a voice in his heart" telling him to circle one more time before landing the plane. Mafella recalled that he needed to be extra careful with the landing amid the heavy wind and he decided to recite Psalm 23 for encouragement.

Mafella and his co-pilot safely landed the plane, but Mafella still felt uneasy. He said he felt God told him that he needed to be speedy while on the ground, even encouraging him to take off earlier than scheduled. The pilot asked the crew to make their break short before the plane took off for Jakarta. "I didn't even leave the cockpit and requested permission from the control tower to depart three minutes ahead of schedule," he recalled.

After receiving the okay from Air Controller Anthonius Agung to depart early, Mafella and his crew prepared for departure. The pilot recalled that he felt such a strong sense of urgency that he broke standard flight procedures and took over some of his co-pilot's duties in order to get the plane in the air faster. Mafella recalled that they rocketed the plane down the runway. "I don't know why but my hand kept pushing the lever causing the plane to speed up as it took off," he said. While speeding down the runway the massive 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit. According to CBN News, both pilots remembered the plane rocking from the left to the right. "If I had taken off three minutes later, I would not have been able to save the 140 passengers, because the asphalt on the landing strip was moving up and down like a curtain blowing in the wind," Mafella said.

The pilots reportedly attempted to contact the control tower but did not receive a response. Later, they found out that the control tower collapsed during the earthquake, but not before Agung, the air traffic controller, could make sure their plane had taken off safely. After the plane had safely taken off, Agung reportedly jumped from the tower in an attempt to save his life. Sadly, Agung later died of injuries sustained from the quake.

"In this difficult time, during the split seconds of decisions, he waited for me until I was safe before he jumped," Mafella said. "That's why I call him my guardian angel." Mafella used this experience to encourage his church members in Jakarta to listen to the voice of God. "And whatever happens we must be calm, not in a panic so that we can clearly hear the voice of God coming to us by the Holy Spirit," he said.

A Muslim Man Risks His Life to Save Ancient Christian Texts from ISIS

A Muslim family risked their lives to save two ancient Christian texts from destruction by the Islamic State in Iraq. According to The Christian Post, the official press agency of the Roman Catholic Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions shared the story of how two ancient Syriac Orthodox manuscripts evaded destruction for three years while ISIS controlled the city of Mosul, Iraq. Reportedly, ISIS has destroyed numerous cultural and religious relics in the area and has burned hundreds of Christian texts. One family who wished to remain anonymous for their safety, however, was determined to keep the texts safe despite threat of being killed if caught.

In an interview with AsiaNews.It Father Paulos Thabit Mekko recalled the story noting that he is now temporarily in possession of the manuscripts until they can be returned to their rightful owners. The priest told Asia News that he believes that the manuscripts were stolen from the Syriac Orthodox Church of the Immaculate, a church that was demolished by ISIS.

Mekko explained, "Recently a Chaldean from Mosul contacted me saying that he had a Muslim neighbor from the time he lived in the city 20 years ago.” He continued, "One day the man saw a lorry dump some rubbish," Mekko explained. "He was in the area looking for some wood to cook and heat his home. Among the refuse, he found a couple of manuscripts in ancient Syriac script and thought they might be of some value." The man then reportedly decided to take the manuscripts home understanding it could cost him his life.

The Muslim man then went to visit his former Christian neighbor in Kurdistan and brought the documents with him. The man handed them over to his friend and according to Asia News, asked his former neighbor if he knew a pastor or a religious scholar who could be trusted to keep the manuscripts, discover their rightful home and not sell them. "The latter entrusted me with the two tomes. They contain the offices of the morning and evening prayers in Syriac Antiochene Orthodox rite," Mekko was quoted as saying.

Mekko also came bearing a message from the manuscripts’ keeper. Mekko said, "[T]he Muslim man wanted to give me a message: 'not all Muslims are with IS.’” He continued, "Many consider Christians like brothers and are ready to put their lives at risk to save a Christian text. What great courage!"

Christians Sentenced To Death under Sharia Law

Frequently, Shiite Islamic preachers and leaders can be heard stating that Islam recognized "People of the Book," which refers to Christians and Jews. This assertion sounds as if Islam gives Christian and Jews the same level of status and respect as their Muslim counterparts. That argument was recently confirmed when the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, claimed that "Christians have the same rights as others do." With that confirmation, it might be easy to assume that Christians are relatively safe in Iran. But are they?

In speeches, and on paper, these words probably give the impression that Christians are not only welcome in Iran, but given equal rights and protections. However, the everyday experiences of Christians in Iran, tell a very different story.

Violence and persecution against Christians have, under the sharia law of Iran, increased significantly. One recent case documents the traumatic experiences of Pastor Victor Bet-Tamraz and his wife Shamiram Issavi, ethnic Assyrian Christians, along with Amin Afshar Naderi and Hadi Asgari, who converted to Christianity from Islam. Each were sentenced by the Revolutionary Court in Tehran to a combined total of 45 years in prison. Despite Iran's claims that they have equal rights and protections, they may never see freedom again. What terrible crime must they have committed to warrant such a harsh punishment? Surely it had to be more than simply being Christians? After all, the President of Iran had made it clear that Christians enjoy equal rights. The ambiguous charges they faced included vague terms such as conducting "illegal church activities" and threatening "national security."

Why would there be animosity toward Christians in Iran that might drive the kind of persecution these four faced? Even though Christians make up a very small part of the population, they have always been viewed, under Iran's sharia law, as a threat to "national security". Iran's total population is roughly 80 million, with anywhere between 117,000 and 3 million of that total being Christians, according to various estimates.

The international community has recently taken note of the abuse of power wielded against Christians in Iran. The latest report, from Amnesty International, pointed out that, "Christians in Iran have been a target of harassment, arbitrary arrest and detention, unfair trials, and imprisonment on national security-related charges solely because of their faith." Yet, atrocities against them continue. It is worth noting that, before the Islamic revolution, in order to gain support and power, fundamentalist Muslim leaders promised the Christians in Iran that they would have the same rights as Muslim citizens. They also assured Christians that they would be able freely to practice their faith.

As a result, many Christians, trusting that they would enjoy the freedom that was promised to them, supported the Muslim leaders. Instead, after the Islamic revolution, anyone who did not believe in the Islamist and revolutionary ideals of the sharia theocracy became the enemy. Even recently, the Iranian president stated:

"Our revolution was victorious when we were all together... All Iranian races, all Iranian religions, Shiites and Sunnis, Muslims, Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians -- whoever believes in the constitution, that is our criteria. He is a revolutionary and he must be respected."

Unfortunately for the Christians of Iran, they are not being respected at all. In response to the latest abuses against Christians, Amnesty International has initiated an "urgent action" appeal. It has called on the Iranian regime to "quash the convictions and sentences of Victor Bet-Tamraz, Shamiram Isavi, Amin Afshar-Naderi, and Hadi Asgari, as they have been targeted solely for the peaceful exercise of their rights to freedoms of religion and belief, expression, and association, through their Christian faith." However, there are far more stories of Christian persecution throughout Iran, than just these four.

Many other Christians are being jailed for baseless charges such as "Propagating against the Islamic Republic in favor of Christianity." The organization "Article 18," which promotes religious freedom and supports persecuted Christians living under sharia law, wrote on Twitter on August 9, 2018:

A Christian couple has reported that a court in Boushehr has just sentenced them and 10 other Iranian Christians to one year in prison each for "Propagating against the Islamic Republic in favour of Christianity". These groups of Christian converts were arrested on April 7th, 2015

There does not yet exist any information about their release. The oppression does not end here. Another Christian couple who converted from Islam was also recently charged with "orientation toward the land of Christianity," according to Mohabat News. Even though the Christians have been told they have the right to practice their religion, they are being arrested and tormented for it.

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani was sentenced to death in 2010 for "apostasy," because he converted from Islam to Christianity. After significant pressure from legal and human rights groups, in a retrial, a court acquitted him of the charge of apostasy that carried the death sentence. The retrial ended with a guilty verdict on the charge of "evangelizing Muslims," but he was sentenced to the prison time he had already served, and released.

In 2016, Nadarkhani was "charged with 'acting against national security.' He also was accused of Zionism and evangelizing." On July 6, 2017, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and an additional two years in exile in Nikshahr (southern Iran). He was allowed to appeal and was out on bail when, on July 22, 2018, police raided Nadarkhani's home and took him to Evin Prison. He will have 10 years of his life stolen from him, just because he practiced his faith.

The American Center for Law & Justice in Washington, D.C., has launched a petition for Nadarkhani's release. As of October 2nd, more than 112,000 people have signed the petition. The ACLJ pointed out that "Iran's actions violate its own constitution that guarantees religious freedom and multiple international human rights treaties." However, he remains in prison. This may seem confusing and contradictory to some; what is important to note is that in countries run by sharia law, the constitution becomes inferior to the Islamist laws of the land.

When radical Islam gains power, every article in the constitution becomes contingent on compliance with sharia. The rights that are promised in the constitution therefore become null and void. The Christians in Iran who believed that by supporting the Islamic revolution they would be gaining protections and equal rights are now instead living in constant fear. Only increased pressure from the international community may create a change within Iran that might afford these innocent people some protections against the brutal acts that they face. It is not enough to hope that one day Christians will be able to practice their faith in Iran without fear of persecution or death; action must be taken by the global community to ensure that the Iranian regime stands by its own constitution and provides its Christian citizens with equal rights and protections.

Turning one's heart away

“When Solomon was old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his God, as the heart of David his father was”. 1Kings 11:4

Loving God with all your heart is the 1st commandment of God.

Solomon loved his wives more than God. He did many things which were pleasing to God. But he placed God in the second place and his wives in the first place.

So whatever his wives told him, he was obliged to do. These ladies turned his heart away from God.

It is not what you do for God that counts, but where you have placed Him in your heart is what matters. Nobody else from outside will be able to know or measure your value system. But God will look only into your heart. He searches the deepest intentions there, the motive of every word you utter and every decision you take.

Isa 66:2. Says: “But I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.

Where one has placed God in his heart can be measured this way.

"Trembling at his word"

If the Holy Spirit convicts you through the Word of God, (e.g. disturbs your sleep, disturbs the routine actions of your mind or body using one verse) if you tremble when you read or meditate His Word, you can be happy.

All the participants agreed that our current pattern of worship is different than the worship pattern in Heaven and all have taken a decision to change the worship pattern. Also this worship pattern we will introduce in our troop Church as well as BFF and other gift schools.

Liquid Gold - Farmers Harvest Olives In Preparation For Third Temple Sacrifices

The olive oil runs from the presses at Meshek Achiya like a stream of liquid gold.

Every olive in the press, each with a fruity aroma tinged by sweet hay or grass, was planted and harvested in Israel's Biblical heartland, right outside of ancient Shiloh, Israel's first capital and the location where the holy Ark of the Covenant stood for nearly 400 years. Today, a small team of farmers are re-planting the land, fulfilling the Biblical prophecy described in Ezekiel:

"But ye O mountains of Yisrael ye shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Yisrael; for they are at hand to come" (Ezekiel 36:8).

"We are doing the work that our ancestors did in the time of the Temple, of course with the expectation that the day will come when we will take our olive oil to Jerusalem for use in the Third Temple," said Farm Manager Itamar Weis. "This is holy work that we are doing."

In ancient Temple days, there were both animal and grain offerings. The grain offering (often translated as "meal offering") is referred to in the Bible as minhah (מִנְחָה), which means "gift" and is an offering of thanks. This meal offering may only consist of fine flour, olive oil, salt and incense, usually frankincense. Sacrifices were suspended with the destruction of the Second Holy Temple by the Romans in 70 C.E. The expectation is that they will return when the Temple is rebuilt.

Meshek Achiya (Achiya Farm) is preparing for such a time.

Located in Israel's Biblical heartland, a team of all-Jewish workers plant and farm nearly 200 acres of olive trees and wine vineyards, all of which are "cultivated with love," according to Meshek Achiya CEO David Zitzer. The farm uses ancient Hebrew agriculture practices with the aim and ideal of building up the Jewish homeland and bringing about the redemption.

Meshek Achiya has one of the largest olive presses in the country. The farm's olive oil is of the highest quality and is closely monitored at all stages of the olive-oil making process.

"The fruit extract that originates from the 'tree of life' - Proverbs 3:18 - has for thousands of years illuminated holy spaces, and has been used in ceremonies as well as for beauty and culinary purposes," Zitzer said, noting that the farm's oil will be suitable for bringing a personal meal-offering when the Third Holy Temple in Jerusalem is rebuilt.

Weis said his staff, all Jewish residents of the area, understands the role they play. They get up early and work in inclement weather, including strong rain, to plant and harvest the olives. Often, the workers accompany the tractors of fruit to the presses and watch as the olives are turned into oil.

"It is so meaningful," Weis said.

This time of year, the month immediately following Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles), is the ideal time to harvest the olives. They are picked from the trees and brought to the presses within an hour to ensure the finest oil. Within the next two months, new olive oil from this season will hit the shelves.

Each year, the farm presses some 3,000 tons of olives and sells around 500,000 bottles of olive oil. But Meshek Achiya has not been without challenges.

Meshek Achiya was founded 20 years ago by Yossi Shooker, a visionary and idealist who wanted to replant the Biblical heartland as described in the Bible. He purchased a small plot of land and with his own hands he tilled and planted it, said Zitzer.

As the time to harvest and press the fruit came closer, Shooker ordered a special olive press from Italy and hired some Italian workers to deliver it and train him in its use. But at the time the workers came to deliver it, the first Intifada broke out," Zitzer said. "So they dropped off the machine and ran."

Shooker was undettered. He harvested the olives and put them in the press. But when he turned it on and started to run it, one of his limbs got stuck in the machine and he was pulled down inside. His wife, who was with him, ran to cut the electricity and stop the machine. Shooker was badly injured. After a few years fighting for his life in the hospital, he died.

"The people of the Shomron knew it was their duty to carry on," said Zitzer. So, they kept planting, harvesting and making oil. Over the decades, Arab agricultural terrorists have likewise attacked the farm at least half-a-dozen times, destroying the trees. Last May, Arab vandals demolished two-and-a-half acres of vineyards, costing Meshek Achiya hundreds of thousands of shekels. Zitzer said it takes four years to replant these vines and recoup the loss. But he said his team will keep going.

"Every time they tear us down, we replant until our olives and grapes grow, just like in ancient times," Zitzer said. Today, Meshek Achiya has won multiple international competitions and considered among the best and largest olive oil manufacturers in the State of Israel.

Violence against Christians Ratchets up in Southern India

HYDERABAD, India, October 9, 2018 (Morning Star News) – Christians in southern India are increasingly living in fear as the level of violence against them continues to rise, sources said.

The southern states of Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala saw at least 60 cases of persecution of Christians in the first nine months of 2018, compared with 36 such attacks in the first nine months of 2017, according to religious freedom advocacy group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF)-India.

Although none of the states’ governments has explicit connections with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), commonly known as the political arm of the Hindu extremist Sangh Parivar (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and its affiliates), the RSS volunteers are found throughout regional, secular parties, sources said.

“In Tamil Nadu, RSS activists are provoking the Hindus in their speeches at public gatherings to cause communal tension,” the Rev. Sagaya Raj, deputy secretary of the (Roman Catholic) Tamil Nadu Bishops Council told Morning Star News. “The current situation is alarming – our state was a peace-loving state, and we lived in harmony. The recent attacks on Christian community are very disturbing.”

In one case, a mob of nomadic Hindus in Veppur village, Vellore District, on Sept. 13 attacked an elderly Christian woman as she took her usual late-evening walk while they were celebrating the birthday of the Hindu elephant god Ganesha in a procession.

As Hindus were carrying a Ganesha idol, four members of the mob stopped her and rebuked her for using the road, Christian resident Esther Moses told Morning Star News.

“One was yelling, ‘You converted to Christianity, and you are an ‘untouchable’ – how can you use the road when our Vinayagar [Ganesha in Tamil] is passing from here? You are impure, and now you made the road impure by walking on it,’” Moses said.

The rest of mob also reviled her for “defiling” their festivities, she said.

“They became very aggressive, so that they started beating her,” Moses told Morning Star News. “The entire neighborhood belongs to nomadic tribes – they are not upper castes over us, yet the Hindu gypsies hate us and treat us like untouchables.”

Church members who live on the same street rushed to rescue her and were also attacked, she said.

“It is not just about the Ganesha procession – they always had problems with Christians using the road,” she said. “They warned us several times in the past. They tell us, ‘We belong to RSS, and you are Christians. We cannot both walk on the same road. If you see us passing by, go inside your houses and don’t come out until we are gone.”

More than 10 Christians sustained minor injuries, including a father and son who took strong blows to their heads and noses, Moses said.

“The goons in the mob were heavily drunk,” she said. “They started hurling stones at the Christians who came to rescue the elderly lady.”

Pastor Emmanuel Paul of the Tamil Nadu Synod of Pentecostal Churches told Morning Star news 13 injured Christians were admitted to a government hospital that night. They were later transferred to Christian Medical College hospital in Vellore.

“The boy who suffered the nose injury was gasping for breath, his nasal bone was fractured,” Pastor Paul said. “And his dad received blows on his head and was bleeding heavily.”

Moses’ husband, a convert from a nomadic Hindu tribe, planted a church in the area about four years ago.

“At least 50 believers gather for worship services every Sunday, and this road off our street is the only route that connects us to the church,” she said.

Church leaders submitted a written complaint, and police registered a First Information Report (FIR), but they said they have no indication that any action has been taken against the assailants.

Tamil Nadu

RSS members from Tamil Nadu’s Erode District on Sept. 2 stormed into a Sunday evening prayer service at a Christian’s house in the Chennimalai area.

As the Christians had just moved into their new home, the gathering also included a house-warming party, a local resident identified only as Ponnaiyan told Morning Star News.

“The Christian family prepared a vegetarian meal and had invited all the neighboring families, and also their church members and relatives, over for dinner,” Ponnaiyan said. “At first, the RSS members disrupted the prayer service, then they raided the kitchen. They were searching for beef [forbidden in Hinduism].”

Ponnaiyan said he has never been so disgusted.

“For the first time, I saw a family’s kitchen, utensils, fridge and dishes being searched for beef, just because they are Christian,” he said. “The RSS people had put their hands in the food searching for beef, making it unsafe to consume.”

The next morning he notified political party officials, activists and Christian leaders, saying that the matter must be brought to Superintendent of Police Sakthi Ganesan, he said. With members of all political parties and the synod present, Ganesan showed little concern for the issue, he said.

“To our disappointment, Ganesan simply said, ‘This is a very common thing’ and was not at all moved by the incident,” Ponnaiyan told Morning Star News. “He said those words on record in front of the media.”

Pastor Nehemiah Christie, director of legislations and regulations of the Synod of Pentecostal Churches and ADF-India’s Tamil Nadu state coordinator, was among witnesses representing the matter to the Erode police official.

“We told Ganesan that it’s a violation human rights, and the police must take action,” Pastor Christie said. “But he answered back that Christians run churches without permission. There was no sync; we are highlighting a serious problem a Christian family faced because of their faith, and he was talking about church permission. It was very disappointing.”

Ganesan is the the same officer who registered a counter-case against a victim of attempted sexual assault against an Erode-based pastor’s wife, as reported by Morning Star News in July.

Among southern states, Tamil Nadu alone has recorded 37 incidents of attacks against Christians, out of a total of around 170 reported throughout India in the first nine months of this year, according to ADF-India.

ADF notes in its campaign celebrating the 70th anniversary of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights that it is sadly ironic that Christians are persecuted in a country with a long tradition and legal framework of freedom of religion.

Article 18 of the U.N. declaration asserts that believers have the freedom to practice their faith “in teaching, practice, worship and observance,” ADF notes in its campaign to obtain signatures supporting the Geneva Statement on Human Rights at www.ImHumanRight.org.

Forced to Demolish Walls

In Telangana state, a pastor visiting the site of his house under construction in Tadvai Mandal, Kamareddy District, was attacked by Hindu extremists from the RSS.

The 49-year-old pastor on the morning of Sept. 10 received a call from a worker of the local electricity board who informed him that he would set up the house’s electrical wiring and connection. He had travelled about 25 kilometers (15 miles) to reach the site and was waiting inside for the line-worker, said the pastor, whose name is withheld for security reasons.

“Four men barged inside and started beating me,” he said. “They said, ‘How dare you construct a church here?’ and abused me in extreme vulgar language.”

They told him they would take him to the village council to ask about the construction and dragged him to the council office, he said. Not finding the council president, they telephoned him and asked about permission.

“They punched me in my stomach and back at the council’s office, and then they brought me back to the construction site,” he said.

The four assailants, all in their mid-30s and identified as Mudaam Narsimhulu, Srinivas Reddy, Raghava Reddy and Padaganti Rajeshwar, forced the pastor to demolish the walls of his house, he said.

“I could only destroy only a portion of the wall and was exhausted,” he said. “I told them that I can’t do it and pleaded them to leave me. But they took me to the police station and asked the station house officer to book a case against me that I was constructing a church in the area.”

He told the officers that he had documents showing that he had secured permission and that the construction was legal, and Tadvai police booked the four assailants for attempt to murder, public nuisance, voluntarily causing hurt, causing hurt with dangerous weapons, mischief causing loss or damage of over 50 rupees and promoting enmity between classes under the Indian Penal Code.

Within 10 days, the attackers were released on bail, he said.

“I am still living in fear and have not gone to Tadvai village since the day of attack,” the pastor said. “It is a spacious plot of 500 square yards. Our desire was to establish a house church there so a pastor can reside with his family, and the believers from Tadvai and neighboring villages can gather for worship and prayers.”

The Kamareddy Regional Pastors Association (KRPA) reported the attack to the local member of the legislative assembly, he said.

“He assured us that the matter will be taken seriously, but later we found out that the elected member is a close associate of the assailants and was trying all means for their bail,” he said.

A KRPA leader said those accused are the same RSS members who attacked pastor Steven Paul about six months ago, also in Kamareddy District.

“We informed the police that the four accused are repeat offenders, and the police assured us that further they will be categorized as rowdy sheeters [repeat offenders],” said the KRPA leader, who pastors a village church in Kamareddy. “There is severe opposition to church gatherings and gospel sharing in Telangana state as well, and in the coming years it is only going to escalate. We request prayers so even if we are put to severe persecution, our faith may grow stronger.”

The hostile tone of the National Democratic Alliance government, led by the Hindu nationalist BJP, against non-Hindus, has emboldened Hindu extremists in several parts of the country to attack Christians since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took power in May 2014, religious rights advocates say.

India ranked 11^th on Christian support organization Open Doors’ 2018 World Watch List of countries where Christians experience the most persecution.

2018 Nobel Peace Prize Goes to Christian Congolese Doctor Who Helps Rape Victims

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has selected two recipients for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize, including Christian gynecologist Denis Mukwege, who has dedicated his life to caring for victims of rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Mukwege, nicknamed “Dr. Miracle” for his specialized procedures, received the award alongside Nadia Murad, a young Yazidi activist who survived being kidnapped and raped by ISIS members in Iraq.

The Nobel committee selected these two recipients saying that both winners modeled “efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war.”

The Nobel Peace Prize winner said that his Christian faith was a massive influence on his decision to pursue medicine and his strategy for patient care. The son of a Pentecostal minister, Mukwege told NPR that he was inspired to become a doctor after traveling with his father to pray for the sick. Mukwege attended the University of Angers in France to study gynecology and obstetrics.

Over the past 20 years, Mukwege has treated tens of thousands of women in his Panzi Hospital in Bukavu which he founded in 1999 with the help of the Pentecostal Churches in Central Africa (CEPAC).

The hospital provides care for women, many of whom have been gang raped by militants.

Mukwege told NPR that he works “not only to treat women—their body, [but] also to fight for their own right, to bring them to be autonomous, and, of course, to support them psychologically. And all of this is a process of healing so women can regain their dignity.”

During a keynote speech last year at the Lutheran World Federation, Mukwege challenged the audience saying if Christians do not live their lives faithfully among their communities and neighbors, “we cannot fulfill the mission entrusted to us by Christ,” a mission he has spent his career trying to fulfill.

Mukwege, 63, has been met with great support from Christian organizations in his fight against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the DRC.

“Dr. Mukwege’s incredible work with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo inspires me, and many of us,” Rick Santos, president of IMA World Health, said in a statement on Friday. “We are honored to call him and Panzi Hospital a partner in the effort to eradicate SGBV in a place where it is so pervasive.”

Christianity today reports that 3.9 million people have been killed and more than 40,000 have been raped in the decade since the civil war broke out in the DRC in 1996.

The Global and Mail has said of Mukwege that he is “likely the world’s leading expert on repairing injuries of rape.”

Panzi hospital also offers services beyond surgery and injury repair. The institution also offers therapy, legal assistance, community resources, and help reintegrating into the community for their patients.

Mukwege encourages other Christians to be a light in the ever darkening world and to consider “the credibility of the gospel in the 21st century, to liberate the grace that we have received by making the church a light that still shines in this world of darkness through our struggles for justice, truth, law, freedom, in short, the dignity of man and woman.”

How privileged and blessed we would feel if we are invited for the wedding of a King’s son. When I was studying, in my class there was, one Sethu Parvathi Bai, the daughter of the concubine of Sree Chitira Tirunal Maharaja of Trivandrum. Most of the days she will be absent for the class. When she reappears, she will come to me in order to copy the notes of missed days. Why should she come to me, leaving all the other girls? When I think of it, I feel proud. That is why I am quoting it even here.

Rebels in Burma Detain More than 90 Christian Leaders, Shut Down More Churches

YANGON, Burma, October 1, 2018 (Morning Star News) – After shutting down at least 10 churches in early September, ethnic Wa rebels in eastern Burma (Myanmar) have closed dozens of other churches and detained 92 Christian leaders and 42 students in a bid to curtail Christian activities, sources said. The United Wa State Army (UWSA) in late September detained the Christian leaders and students in territory it controls in Shan state, leaders of the Lahu Baptist Convention said in a statement released on Tuesday (Sept. 25). Some students were also forced to serve as UWSA soldiers, according to the statement.

The 52 churches in Mong Pauk Township have been shut down, and the UWSA destroyed three church buildings and removed all Christian symbols such as crosses, according to the ethnic Lahu Christian leaders. A few religious schools also have been shut down. Earlier in September, the UWSA troops shut down at least 10 churches, including six belonging to the Kachin Baptist Convention (KBC).

“The Wa officials instructed Christians in Mong Pauk not even to worship at home these days,” a local Christian leader based in Keng Tung told Morning Star News on condition of anonymity. “So, some Christian members dare not to live in Mong Pauk any longer. They came to stay in Keng Tung town as they are fearful.”

Wa soldiers are holding arrested Christian leaders and students in Mong Maw town, a stronghold base of the Wa rebels, said Tat Jack, a local resident whose relatives are detained. “My uncle is a preacher,” Tat Jack told Morning Star News. “He lives at a village nearby the Wa rebel base, Panghsang city. He and his son were detained in early September. But we are not allowed to visit them. We also heard that many members of the Christian community there are detained.” Christian leaders have said the militants, who predominantly follow tribal religions, seek to reduce the spread of Christianity. Wa rebel spokesperson Nyi Rang told The Irrawaddy, a Yangon-based new outlet, that the UWSA had detained the Christian leaders because there were “extremists” among them.

A UWSA statement released on Sept. 13 stated that all church buildings constructed after 1992 would be destroyed or shut down, as they were built without permission from the UWSA’s leaders. On a UWSA-run television program, it was stated that the UWSA has arrested and interrogated the religious leaders for violating organization regulations and laws prohibiting foreigners to serve as religious leaders in Wa-controlled areas. It also accused some detainees of forcing ethnic people to convert to Christianity.

Dr. M. Hkawng, chairman of an ethnic Kachin political party, the Kachin National Congress, has said that missionaries improve the lives of ethnic minorities in the Wa region, educating them and enabling them to travel to overseas to Japan, the United States and other countries to pursue their education. Although most of the population in Wa territory worships spirits or Nats, there are also Buddhists as well as Christian communities such as Baptists and Roman Catholics. Many area members of ethnic minority groups, such as the Ahkar, Lahu and Kachin, as well as the Wa, are Christians, sources said. Some Christians suspect Chinese authorities are behind the recent aggression against Christians.

The UWSA is the military wing of the United Wa State Party (UWSP), the de facto ruling party of the area. It was formed after the collapse of the armed wing of the Communist Party of Burma in 1989. The UWSA announced its territory as the Wa State Government Special Administrative Region on Jan. 1, 2009, and although the government of Burma does not officially recognize its sovereignty, the Burmese military has fought alongside the UWSA against Shan nationalist militias.

Though de facto independent from Burma, the Wa state officially recognizes Burma’s sovereignty over all of its territory, and in 2013 the two parties signed a peace deal. Burma is about 80 percent Buddhist and 9 percent Christian. The country is ranked 24^th on Christian support organization Open Doors’ 2018 World Watch List of the countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian.

China’s Pastors Take Their Stand: Jesus Is Lord

I want you to meet some brave Christian leaders pledging their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. When thinking of the golden age of the Church, many of us hearken back to the book of Acts, when Peter and John stood up to the religious authorities, who told them to be silent about Jesus the risen Messiah. “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God,” they answered, “you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.” Then they prayed for boldness, and the Church exploded across much of the ancient world. But there’s a golden age for the church going on right now—with the same kind of courage, persecution, and Spirit-empowered growth. Where is it? In communist China.

World missions’ historians tell us that when all the foreign missionaries were kicked out of Mao’s China a few years after the Second World War, there were probably no more than 3 million believers in Jesus Christ in the whole, vast nation. But today, seven decades later, the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life counts 67 million Christians of all kinds—35 million independent Protestants, 23 million Protestants in government-sanctioned churches, and 9 million Catholics. Other estimates go even higher.

Whatever the true number is, it’s almost as many as there are members of the Communist Party! Maybe that’s why the government is cracking down on Christians. According to Christianity Today and other news outlets, Under President Xi Jinping, China’s government has been tightening its grip on religious affairs. In February, regulations aimed at religious groups have brought increased pressure on churches to be “Chinese” culturally and to submit to the authority of the Communist Party. Churches are being told to burn their crosses and replace them with Chinese flags and to display slogans praising the Communist Party. Some are being forced to join the government-sanctioned churches and permit video surveillance of their services. Meanwhile, in Jiangxi province, authorities have forced at least 40 churches to display banners forbidding foreigners from preaching and anyone under 18 from attending. In August, they even published new rules stating, “Party members who have religious belief should have strengthened through education.”

In the spirit of Peter and John, a group of at least 250 Chinese pastors has publicly signed a joint statement opposing the new regulations. In the statement they declare that Jesus is Lord of all, offering eternal life to anyone who will repent and believe in Him. But they also say, in a challenge to the Chinese communists, “God hates all attempts to suppress human souls and all acts of persecution against the Christian church, and he will condemn and judge them with righteous judgment.”

Then, like Peter and John, they pledge obedience not to the earthly authorities but to King Jesus, no matter what. “We declare that in matters of external conduct, churches are willing to accept lawful oversight by civil administration or other government departments as other social organizations do. But under no circumstances will we lead our churches to join a religious organization controlled by the government, to register with the religious administration department, or to accept any kind of affiliation.” They close their incredible joint statement with the bracing yet sobering words, “For the sake of the gospel, we are prepared to bear all losses—even the loss of our freedom and our lives.”

Friends, is it any wonder that the church in China has grown, and continues to grow? What we’re seeing before our eyes is the golden age of the church in China. How can we not pray for these wonderful brothers and sisters? And more than that, how can we not emulate their costly faithfulness in our own little corner of God’s world?

One of Canada's Largest Banks Reminds Us of The Dangers Of A Cashless Society

Yesterday, CIBC reported a "systems issue" that prevented customers from logging in to their accounts online for the entire business day. CIBC, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, is one of the five biggest banks in Canada. Yesterday just happened to be the day that people receiving welfare, unemployment benefits, social insurance payments (like American social security), Canada Pension payments, and disability payments landed in the accounts of recipients.

Customers could still use ATMs and Point of Sale features but were unable to log into their accounts to check balances, transfer money, or make online payments. The sentiments of normally patient Canadians online were ... tense. The system was restored around 8 pm last night but that wasn't soon enough for people who wanted to pay their bills by the due date or make business transactions.

Meanwhile, CIBC wants to move everything online

Ironically, this online banking catastrophe occurred a day after Victor Dodig, the CEO of CIBC, predicted that nearly all transactions would soon be taking place online.

...almost all transactions will soon be conducted remotely, rather than in person, as customers continue to take more of their business and daily lives online.

"We see continued migration of clients to do transactions remotely," CIBC CEO Victor Dodig said Wednesday during his bank's institutional investor conference in Montreal. "You're seeing 87 per cent of transactions now being done remotely. And we think it's going to get to 96 per cent over the next four to five years."

But perhaps this migration has more to do with CIBC closing branches. Physical locations where you can walk in and see a teller are going the way of the Canadian penny. (It's no longer being made because production costs were 1.6 cents per coin.)

Since before 2000, CIBC has been closing dozens of branches every year. And it isn't just CIBC that is closing branches in Canada. It's a trend across all the Big 5 banks and thousands of jobs have been lost. So the question is, do Canadians actually "prefer" online banking, or do they have no other choice due to physical location closures? This makes me think of the whole push toward a cashless society. For a long time now, Big Finance has been "nudging" people along toward an end that would benefit them greatly - a cashless society.

If a powerful institution wants to make people choose a certain thing, the best strategy is to make it difficult to choose the alternative. We can illustrate this with the example of self-checkout tills at supermarkets. The underlying agenda is to replace checkout staff with self-service machines to cut costs. But supermarkets have to convince their customers. They thus initially present self-checkout as a convenient alternative. When some people then use that alternative, the supermarket can cite that as evidence of a change in customer behaviour, which they then use to justify a reduction in checkout employees. This in turn makes it more inconvenient to use the checkout staff, which in turn makes customers more likely to use the machines. They slowly wean you off staff, and "nudge" you towards self-service.

Financial institutions, likewise, are trying to nudge us towards a cashless society and digital banking. The true motive is corporate profit. Payments companies such as Visa and Mastercard want to increase the volume of digital payments services they sell, while banks want to cut costs. The nudge requires two parts. First, they must increase the inconvenience of cash, ATMs and branches. Second, they must vigorously promote the alternative. They seek to make people "learn" that they want digital, and then "choose" it. It won't surprise many people to learn that this has links to Marxist philosophy.

The Italian philosopher Antonio Gramsci developed the concept of cultural hegemony out of Karl Marx's theory that the dominant ideology of society reflects the beliefs and interests of the ruling class. Gramsci argued that consent to the rule of the dominant group is achieved by the spread of ideologies--beliefs, assumptions, and values--through social institutions such as schools, churches, courts, and the media, among others. These institutions do the work of socializing people into the norms, values, and beliefs of the dominant social group. As such, the group that controls these institutions controls the rest of society. Cultural hegemony is most strongly manifested when those ruled by the dominant group come to believe that the economic and social conditions of their society are natural and inevitable, rather than created by people with a vested interest in particular social, economic, and political orders.

Oh yay. Who doesn't love being "nudged" along the road to Marxism and a cashless utopia? (This is sarcasm. Hold the angry comments and emails.) Here's why a cashless society is dangerous. A cashless society is a danger to freedom. And this is why we should embrace cold hard cash.

Most of the folks who will read this article will already be on board with this philosophy, but here is one of the best explanations I've read about the dangers. From The UK Guardian...

Digital systems may be "convenient", but they often come with central points of failure. Cash, on the other hand, does not crash. It does not rely on external data centres, and is not subject to remote control or remote monitoring. The cash system allows for an unmonitored "off the grid" space.

This is also the reason why financial institutions and financial technology companies want to get rid of it. Cash transactions are outside the net that such institutions cast to harvest fees and data. A cashless society brings dangers. People without bank accounts will find themselves further marginalised, disenfranchised from the cash infrastructure that previously supported them. There are also poorly understood psychological implications about cash encouraging self-control while paying by card or a mobile phone can encourage spending. And a cashless society has major surveillance implications.

Despite this, we see an alignment between government and financial institutions. The Treasury recently held a public consultation on cash and digital payments in the new economy. It presented itself as attempting to strike a balance, noting that cash was still important. But years of subtle lobbying by the financial industry have clearly paid off. The call for evidence repeatedly notes the negative elements of cash - associating it with crime and tax evasion - but barely mentions the negative implications of digital payments.

The UK government has chosen to champion the digital financial services industry. This is irresponsible and disingenuous. We need to stop accepting stories about the cashless society and hyper-digital banking being "natural progress". We must recognise every cash machine that is shut down as another step in financial institutions' campaign to nudge you into their digital enclosures.

It only took one day of the CIBC debacle to remind people of why digital transactions are at the mercy of the computers and those who control them. The people who are pleading for the "progress" of a cashless society, the ones who can't wait to get their debit card embedded into their arms as an RFID chip - they aren't seeing the bigger picture. That's the picture of them, losing everything they have at the whim of a bank, a prosecutor, or a computer error.

It's the picture of every single thing you buy and every transaction you make being tracked, filed away, and one day used against you. It's all about control. It's always about control. And without cash, you just handed all of your control to someone else.

Sheep don’t matter

In my beginning years of Vision sharing ministry , starting in October 2006 most of the time I was in travelling, from one Church to another, one State to another.

But after 4 years, I could sense that no solid fruits are to be seen. In my distress, I used to ask God whether I was going in the right direction.

I was complaining to the Lord about the leaders of the Church not taking the prophetic vision given by the Lord for India and Model Church to their believers even after 4 years.

"These warnings being very grievous and time bound, why didn't they take it seriously" was my question to the Lord. He gave the answer.

“For them who are sent as pastors, evangelists and missionaries by their institutions, the sheep or God is not a matter. Their salary and sending reports to their earthly leaders are more important. It can happen to you also if you submit to a leader on this earth for your ministry and get regular salary from them”. I got terrified. I was reminded of an archbishop whom we went to meet, a few years ago. (After leaving the convent) since he was sick. We gave him a copy of the above mentioned visions. He listened to all what we said.

His reply was this:

“I understand what you say. But I may not commit to what you say because it is the Roman Catholic Church who gave me education. It sent me for higher studies. It took me into confidence and has entrusted the responsibility of this archdiocese to me. Shouldn’t I be responsible and grateful to them?” I felt pity for him, kept silent and left the rest with God.

The Lord spoke to me about evangelists and pastors who go to mission stations sent by some institutional Churches. They go on condition that they will be given a support of .......Rs, rent of Rs....... education of their children Rs.....Etc. The Lord asked me a question. To whom will they be faithful? To me or to their institution? . If their children fall sick, they immediately inform their boss. They are expected to send money for every expense they meet with.

“because he’s a hired worker, and the sheep don’t matter to him”. Jn 10:13

For a hired worker, his salary, job security and other things are important. Sheep are secondary. This is the institution which Christians wrongly call “Church”..

Over 250 Nigerian Christians Killed by Fulani Radicals in Two Months

On September 14, two Christian boys were murdered by Fulani radicals in Nigeria, making the total number of lives claimed by this violence over 250 in just two months. Thbodies of Ntyang Pam Danjuma, 9, and Mesheck Dalyop Kang'ageda, 10, were found riddled with bullet holes and machete slashes. Reportedly, local police are looking for attackers who they believe are Fulani Muslim radicals. "The Nigerian government continues to be complacent in dealing with the problem of the Fulani militants, who have in 2018 killed nearly three times as many people as Boko Haram," ICC said.

"If they do not ensure the safety of all of their people, they are going to have continued fighting that will increase as communities decide to defend themselves and their families." Human rights groups in Nigeria, including the International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law, have warned citizens that jihadists are presenting themselves as Fulani farmers and then massacring Christians and burning down churches.

In August, board chairman of Intersociety Emeka Umeagbalasi, told The Christian Post that the Nigerian government is trying to characterize these murders as conflicts between farmers and herders. But what is really happening, he said, was a calculated attack designed to kill and drive Christians out of Nigeria. Intersociety reported on Sunday that no fewer than 250 Christians have been killed in the last two months. They obtained this number by combining the statistics and news reports of killings since July.

"The Christian agonies in Nigeria include killing of Christian children and busting, using machetes and guns, of pregnancies of the heavily pregnant Christian women leading to their death and that of their unborn children; killing of other Christians (i.e., women, children, the physically challenged, young men and women, the aged and the sick) in their sleep, sick and retirement apartments, farms and other workplaces as well as sacred places of worship," the group explained. Along with killing several hundred believers, The Christian Post reports that the extremists have also seized and forcefully occupied Christians’ lands and burned down places of worship among other Christian paraphernalia.

Church Members Take Gospel to Streets after Chinese Officials Close Church

After the Chinese government shut down a church in Chengdu, members of the house church took the gospel message to the streets. In a video shared earlier this week, Christopher Gregory, of the China Missions organization, showed members of the church gathering in a public park to sing, pray and share the gospel. Gregory was later arrested and then released.

Gregory told Christian News Network that the church hosted both morning and evening services earlier this week. “The local authorities shut down a house church in Chengdu last week, so they thought that was the end of it— it wasn’t,” Gregory said on his social media account, adding that police “looked on in bewilderment not knowing what to do.” “For the first time, people throughout China are saying, “NO!” to what the Communist party wants— control,” he said. “Control over what they can do, what they can believe, where they can go, what they can say.”

“It’s yet another sign something is beginning to take shape here in China, the call for democracy! The call for freedom!” The video has more than 43,000 views. According to the organization China Aid, churches must register with the Three-Self Patriotic Movement. The Movement is the only authorized Protestant Church in China. Any churches who do not register are considered illegal, and authorities can arrest or jail church members.

Officials can also raid those illegal church buildings. In some cases, church crosses have been removed. “The government is trying to silence anything relating to Christianity due to the rise of those who claim Christianity as their faith,” Gregory said. “China is facing inward resistance and they see this growth of believers as a sign of losing their grip on its society.” “Pray for China,” he said. “Pray for change here. Pray that the gospel reaches into men’s hearts so that the real change can come, then we’ll see a revival in China.”

Religious Liberty Cases before The Supreme Court: Two Cases to Watch

On Monday, the Supreme Court will choose cases to hear in the upcoming term. We need to pray it chooses at least these two cases in particular. Each year in late September, the Supreme Court gathers for what's called the "long conference," in which they choose cases to hear in the upcoming term. This year's long conference is on Monday. Among the cases under consideration are two that we should all pray are selected by the court. First is American Legion v. American Humanist Association, which concerns a cross-shaped monument known as the Peace Cross in Bladensburg, Maryland. The Cross was erected in 1925 by the American Legion as a memorial to 49 men from that area who died in World War I. Their names are listed on a plaque at its base.

For the first 36 years of its existence, the memorial stood on private land. In 1961, the state assumed control of the land and responsibility for the memorial's maintenance. After more than 50 years on public land, the American Humanist Association, in 2014, challenged the constitutionality of the Peace Cross in federal court. They lost the initial case in Federal District Court but then prevailed at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. If the Fourth Circuit's decision stands, memorials on public land all across the country will be fair game to be scrubbed clean of anything resembling a cross or other religious symbols. For instance, what about all those crosses that fill Arlington National Cemetery? Will they have to go, too? Think about that.

The attempt to rid the public square of any possible reference to religion has prompted a broad coalition of civic, military, and religious groups to petition the Court to hear the case and reverse the Fourth Circuit. For our part, we should petition God for the same thing. The other case involves Joe Kennedy, a high school football coach from Bremerton, Washington. For seven years, after the game when players had left the field, coach Kennedy would return to midfield, kneel, and a say a prayer of thanks. Often, he'd be joined by students and players from both schools. In 2015, the school district, while acknowledging that student participation in the activity was voluntary, concluded that the activity constituted an impermissible establishment of religion. In response, Kennedy asked for an accommodation. Would the district allow him to kneel for fifteen seconds after the game and after players have left the field, in an act now known as "Tebowing" after former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. In response, the District suspended Kennedy and then refused to renew his contract. Kennedy filed a claim of religious discrimination against the District with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and then filed suit against the District in federal court.

The suit was dismissed and the dismissal upheld by the Ninth Circuit. At the long conference, the Supreme Court will decide whether or not to hear his appeal of that dismissal. While the courts have been clear on student rights, the conscience rights of teachers and employees at schools are not as well established. At issue in this case is whether Christians must check their beliefs at the employer's door, especially if that employer is a public school. But there's also a question here of view point discrimination. After all, Kennedy isn't the only person asserting the right to kneel on a football field these days. Whatever you think of the NFL players' protest, why should freedom of speech require one group of men be allowed to kneel before the game, but doesn't require that another man be allowed to kneel after the game?

The only answer is a phobia of religion, the same kind of phobia that wants to eradicate a memorial cross from public property. We need to pray the Court will hear these cases and halt the spread of this phobia.

The sheep of Jesus Christ, He says, will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him.

Jn 10:4,5 When he has driven out all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice. They’ll never follow a stranger, but will run away from him because they don’t recognize the voice of strangers.”

These days in the institutional Churches we see many kidnappers who have taken control of Jesus' sheep claiming ownership over them. How to identify them? The traits in them are given here.

“In the last days, people will be...... traitors, reckless, conceited, and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. They will hold to an outward form of godliness but deny its power. Stay away from such people." 2 Ti 3: 1, 4,5

How to differentiate people who have a close walk with Jesus from those who hold only to an outward form of Godliness.

They will have the outward form of godliness. Godliness can be word out show of piety like attending Church, receiving communion, being the member of a church, giving tithe, obeying the pastor or a leader in everything without questioning, etc. leaders by highlighting their names become popular and
Deny the power. They might sing the song that there is power in the blood and the name of Jesus. But they will never believe or exercise the power in the name and blood of Jesus.

The power in the name of Jesus will heal the sick, cast out demons, solve any problem on earth whether it is in your body, in the computer you work, in the satellite you send, in the soil you cultivate, in your money in the bank or in the kneading bowl in your kitchen. It can be proved by any believer of Jesus Christ.

The real sheep of Jesus Christ alone can prove it. Strangers who are not real shepherds will not be able to prove it. They will send you to doctors, counselors, pastors, chief pastors etc. They will never ask you to sit with Jesus and work out the problem yourself.

One child in a family was demon possessed and used to cry always. When the parents forgave their sister in the meeting, their child was immediately delivered and stopped crying at school. The teachers informed that the child behaved well and did not cry afterwards.
Another sister who suffered from severe head ache was immediately healed during deliverance practical.
A brother came with a lot of worries about his children. He was healed and comforted and received peace.

People may question why such a great calamity hit the State of Kerala, called God’s own country. Scientists, archaeologists, geologists, environmentalists, ecologists, historians all might have their own answers. But the Lord God, creator of heaven and earth has his own answer for this flood and rain. Let those who have ears listen!

Sequence of events

The Lord gave a warning to the Church in Kerala in the year 2006. In the Revelation book “Model Church” 30.11.2006, it is given. That was the 1^st Warning to the Church in India (Extract from the book “Model Church”

Rejection of the institutional Churches – 10.10.2015 Jer 6:29,30 . The institutional, hierarchical, denominational Church has been rejected by the Lord. Is 5:6,7. The Lord asked the Churches to go back to the original sources. Acts 2:41-47. That is the real Church. Build it up! Build small groups. Gather in houses. The Lord names it “Troop Church”. It teaches believers to fight against satan. Fighting against satan and inheriting the land should be the inbuilt character and nature of every believer. (a soldier of God). Every believer has to be a soldier for Jesus Christ.

(2 Tim 2:3-4) Until the whole institutional, hierarchical, denominational Church is rooted out from this earth, this huge business entity called “Church” today will receive blows and meet with calamities and catastrophes. The Lord’s hand will be against this until it is smashed completely and even the dust is blown off in the wind.

"During the reigns of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor its sovereignty left in the hands of another people. It will shatter and crush all of these kingdoms, (Roman Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Pentecostal etc…etc…) and it will stand forever. Now, just as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without human hands—and that it crushed the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold to pieces—so also the great God has revealed to the king what will take place after this………….”. Dan 2:44 -45

A warning was given to Cardinal Alencherry on 21.10.2016 and to Syro Malankara and Syro Malabar Churches. While we were in Ernakulam for a training, the Lord gave a message on 21.10.2016 to be conveyed to Cardinal Alencherry. It was conveyed to him in person and given in writing also. The Lord said,

“Perilous days are coming for Kerala Church. (Syro Malabar, Syro Malankara, Chaldean, Jacobites, Orthodox etc.) You will lose all your properties, buildings and institutions. Went to meet Cardinal Alencherry at Ernakulam to give this. Mat. 10:20, 13. Gave the message for Kerala Church. Miraculously got appointment. Met Fr. Kuttickal also there.

Answer to the flood. Ezek. 13:10-16 and Ezek 14:12-15

From 2015 the Lord had banned me from entering into institutional Churches. Even this month one police fellowship had invited me to give a message. The Lord gave a message too. But When I asked for the address, they said, it is conducted in a building church. My flesh hesitated to inform the warning of the Lord. Hence I missed the opportunity of sharing the message to the group.

After the flood in Kerala, pastors and believers are calling me and coming to me to know the reason of the flood, whether it will repeat, etc. All of them seem to be in panic. When I took up this matter and prayed for Kerala.

The Lord spoke and gave Ezek 13:10-16 and Ezek. 14:10-15

“Because they've truly caused my people to stray saying, 'Peace,' but there's no peace."

Tell those who coat it with whitewash that it will fall. It will be washed off by the rain. Great hailstones will fall and a stormy wind will strip it off.

Look! When the wall collapses, won't it be said of you, 'Where's the coat of paint that you spread all over the wall?' "Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says, 'In my burning anger, I'll rip it open with a windstorm. In my anger, I'll rinse it off with rain, and put an end to it with a hailstorm in my destructive rage.

I'll tear down the wall that you've smeared with whitewash, level it to the ground, and tear out its foundation. Then it will collapse—and you'll perish with it! Then you'll know that I am the LORD. 'That's how I'll vent my anger on the wall and on the ones who coated it with whitewash. And I'll say to you, "The wall is gone and so are those who coated it."

The prophets of Israel prophesied about Jerusalem and saw visions of peace concerning her, yet there's no peace,'" declares the Lord GOD. Eze 13:10-16

"Son of Man, when a nation sins against me by a treacherous act, I'll reach out to oppose it, destroying its source of food, by sending famine against it, and by destroying both people and beast within it. Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job lived in that land, they would only save their own lives on account of their righteousness," declares the Lord GOD.

"If I were to make wild animals pass throughout the land, so that they kill its residents and it were to become desolate because no one will travel through it due to those wild animals,

then even though these three men were in it, as I live," says the Lord GOD, "they wouldn't be able to deliver even their sons or daughters. They would only save themselves, but the land would become desolate.” Eze 14:12-16

Are They Burning the Bible in China?

At the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, they have a display of many burned Bibles. This is the book that, down through the centuries, has been burned more than any other. Ironically, that even happened sometimes at the hand of church officials.

Now there are reports out of China of Bibles being burned. The unregulated “house churches” are particular targets of Chinese Communist persecution. The ultimate issue is one of control.

Despite the crackdown by the Communist government in China, the church appears to be growing. If the present trends continue, China is projected to be the country with the greatest number of Christians worldwide. How ironic. The elites in China are pulling out all the stops to “strangle the baby while it is still in the manger,” to quote a Chinese Communist official from the 1990s. But despite all attempts to eradicate the church, including burning copies of the Bible, they find the church growing.

China is so big and varied, observes Todd Nettleton of The Voice of the Martyrs that many different things happen there simultaneously. Persecution and the thriving of the church can happen simultaneously. He once told me in a television interview: “Whatever you’ve heard about China, it’s true, somewhere. China is a huge country and there are places where the church is functioning with very minimal interference and functioning very well. There are also places where Christians are in prison because of their Christian ministry.” But despite the scenario where some Christians work unimpeded, there is always the threat of persecution hanging over them, notes Nettleton: “One of my coworkers who is very familiar with China says, ‘You may have a Sunday where no pastors are arrested. But every one of those pastors knows they could have been arrested.’ So that pressure is there.”

Wendy Wright, president of Christian Freedom International, notes that in addition to Bible-burning in China, there is suppression through internet censorship. In a recent interview, she told our viewers at D. James Kennedy Ministries, “Bibles online [are] being censored. Now if you’re in China, you’re not able to access a Bible online.” There is an irony to China burning the Bible these days. In 2011 an article appeared in the Iona Institute for Religion and Society by Tom O’Gorman. He wrote: “In the West we are doing our best to destroy our Christian heritage; but in China, Chinese intellectuals are coming around to the view that it is precisely this heritage that has made the West so successful.”

Noted author and speaker Bill Federer put it this way, “Did equality come from atheistic Communist China, where they’re still arresting illegal house church leaders?” No, of course not, equality ultimately came from the book that some Chinese officials are burning. The book that teaches the golden rule and that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves and that God made us in His image and that He will hold us all accountable one day. I hope the day will come that neither China nor the West will continue to burn or to ban the Bible, but instead, to open it up and to learn of its rich legacy available to all. As President Ronald Reagan once declared, “Inside the Bible’s pages lie all of the answers to all of the problems man has ever known.”

Romania Government Moves to BAN Same-Sex Marriage

Much of the world may be embracing same-sex marriage, but Romania – with its strong Christian influence – is going in the opposite direction. The country’s Senate voted 107-13 on Tuesday in favor of a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman, one year after the lower house – the Chamber of Deputies – also passed it. The amendment now will appear on the ballot this fall for voters to consider. Three million Romanian citizens in 2016 signed a petition asking the government to place such an amendment on the ballot.

According to Newsweek, seven European countries -- Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia – already define marriage in their respective constitutions as between a man and a woman. “We’ve been a Christian nation for 2,000 years,” said Romanian Sen. Serban Nicolae, according to the Associated Press. Fifteen European countries have legalized same-sex marriage, Newsweek reported. A Pew Research Center survey released in June found that Romanians consider religion to be more important in their lives than most of Europe does. “The share of adults who consider religion to be very important in their lives is generally low in Europe, where 23% of survey respondents in the average country say this,” the report said. “[But] Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia and Romania, where at least half of people say religion is very important, are above the regional average on this measure.”

No Place to Hide - Facial Recognition Technology Will End Your Privacy

The Chinese police in Nanchang made news in mid-April when the press reported the arrest at a concert of a man wanted for fraud. The story was significant because automatic facial recognition systems, linked through now 176 million cameras across the country (rising to 600 million by 2020), had picked the man out of a crowd of 60,000 concertgoers and allowed the police to pinpoint his location in real time. The episode was promoted by the Chinese government as proof positive of the benefits of the Chinese surveillance state, but the notion that an authoritarian government uses automatic facial recognition to track its citizens everywhere has sent shivers down the spine of anyone concerned about privacy and who may not have full faith in the benevolence of the Chinese government.

Facial recognition holds the promise of an incredible leap forward in law enforcement but backwards in individual rights. No longer will oppressive governments need to employ human watchers to monitor video footage. Now highly accurate computer algorithms, monitoring tens or even hundreds of millions of video feeds, match patterns of facial geometry to identify individuals, even if beards or makeup are used. A criminal suspect shows his face on a public street, at a shopping mall, in a bank or at a bus stop and an alert can immediately go out to summon police for arrest. Tellingly, the same system can be used against terrorists, political dissidents, union leaders, human rights protestors, members of the press, the poor, or ethnic minorities. As Paul Harvey used to say, you can run, but you can't hide. Though China has made the hardest push for ubiquitous surveillance through its vast network of cameras linked in real time to computer-based facial recognition, it is far from alone. The NYPD has been attempting to gain access to the state database of facial recognition information collected for driver's licenses.

The NYPD's Real Time Crime Center and Facial Identification Sections are not satisfied with using only the facial scans of those it has arrested but wants to link every driving adult to its camera-equipped system, the vast majority without ever having been arrested. Thousands of cameras now installed at NYC intersections, tunnels and public buildings are feeding data into automatic facial recognition systems similar to those in Communist China. As a precursor to real-time facial recognition powered by machine algorithms, Georgetown University's Center on Privacy and Technology revealed in 2016 that 26 states are already sharing facial recognition data collected on driver's licenses and 16 of those also share with the FBI, meaning that roughly half of the adult population can already be identified through facial recognition, though only upon arrest at this point. Proponents of automatic recognition systems linked to pervasive surveillance point to the ability to locate missing persons, help dementia patients, identify unconscious victims and catch dangerous felons. The drawbacks are much harder to swallow, however.

Protest movements such as Occupy Wall Street, the Tea Party Movement and Black Lives Matter, were all monitored by the FBI with thousands of faces being fed into federal databases, according to recently revealed information. Those attending vigils held for victims are also common targets for facial pattern collection, representing what amounts to a chilling crackdown on free speech. With frightening similarity to Egyptian police who manually record protest marches so they can come, often in the night, to arrest dissidents for torture in secret prisons, the creation of a government database of known protestors and blacklists of Americans is unsettling to say the least.

The latest proposal to link such automatic systems to police body cams takes the concept even further because it makes every officer a walking eye of the surveillance state. The recent leak of data on 87 million Facebook users is another cause for concern because Facebook, as its name implies, is currently the world's largest facial portrait database and the profile photos cannot be made private, according to company policies. Facebook itself ran afoul of European privacy laws in 2012 and was forced to suspend its activities after it used facial recognition automatically to tag and link photos, a dangerous proposition for those who want to stay hidden from abusive ex-spouses.

The system showed 97% accuracy in testing, superior at the time to even the FBI's modest 85% accuracy several years prior. Now it is reported to be ready to restart its facial recognition program for all users. Even more worrying, there is strong evidence to indicate that private intelligence companies have already compiled this vast trove of 2.2 billion photos for facial recognition purposes, to be sold to governments and corporations alike.

Forbes magazine reported this year on a company called Terrogence, started by an ex-Mossed intelligence officer. For the last five years, Terrogence has specialized in the construction of huge face-scan databases, compiling the data from social networks, YouTube videos, Internet forums, blogs, official records, news articles and a host of other sources. Terrogence has been selling cutting-edge intelligence technology and information to the NSA. So, what the government doesn't collect legally through driver's licenses and arrest data, it quietly purchases from private intelligence corporations.

Marketed as an effort to stop terrorism by tracking down jihadists solely by their faces, LinkedIn profiles and leaks from former employees, their involvement in politics appears to go much deeper, with one employee describing her job as "open source intelligence practices and social media engineering methods to investigate political and social groups." The company quietly boasts of infiltrating political groups with fake online personas in an effort to gather intelligence and create dossiers on possible subversives, all for profit and free from even the loose legal tethers of the US deep state.

The American no-fly list is a famous example of a black list that, although a sensible project that started with good intentions, quickly spun out of control until it was banning toddlers with similar names. There was no way for an individual to know if they were on it, how they got there or if there was a way to get off such a black list. The same threat to personal liberty now exists with privatized "black lists" created from these corporate databases and, in addition to being denied access to flights, the consequences could be high-risk police stops, pervasive monitoring and restrictions on normal activities, all based on automatic facial recognition.

Communist China has made no efforts to hide what will soon be a total-information surveillance state, but the United States is quietly building out the same level of control through private contractors and a patchwork connection of corporate and government data. The reality is that all our unique facial signatures are likely already in a database, whether government or corporate, and those databases are being linked, slowly at first, to automatic facial recognition systems through cameras popping up around major cities. There will soon be nowhere to hide. Comparisons to Orwell's 1984 have become cliché by now, but what else can really be said except that Orwell never dreamed it would go this far.

In Bangalore, I met a family from Gulbarga, Karnataka. They came to attend the school of Hospitality. After the class got over, we went to their house nearby at their invitation. It was close by. They were narrating their spiritual experiences and growth in the Lord, after they started the Troop Church in their house. There was not enough place to sit. So we stood and prayed. The joy in their faces was unusual. They were Roman Catholics. They were telling how they came to know the truth and how they obeyed the word of God. Somebody was translating. Two girls of the family are teachers of BFF now. I was surprised to see the sudden growth in them.

Every soldier in the Troop Church is a seed. This seed has to be sown in the ground. When he/she starts a Troop Church in a particular place or house, this seed is sown in that particular soil of the land.

Jn 12:24 "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it produces a lot of grain." It has to be watered every morning. All the troops planted in various parts of India have to be watered every morning or evening.

“When you wage war in your land against an enemy who is hostile to you, you are to sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before the face of the LORD your God and you will be delivered from your enemies." Num 10:9

We have to restart the "Voice of the Troop Churches" to pray for all the Troop Churches. This will help us to remind the Lord every morning about all the Troops in the land.

Intentional Christian Grand parenting: Training up the Next Generation

Grandparents Day is coming. What better way to mark the day than to begin preparing your grandkids for a life of faith? A colleague of mine—let’s just call her Gail—was delighted when her son announced that he and his wife were expecting their first baby. Gail immediately headed for the mall and bought a boatload of baby clothes and toys. When their grandson reached toddlerhood, Gail and her husband frequently took him to parks, or out for ice cream. And now, as her grandson grows older and starts wading out into the culture, Gail wants to be a positive spiritual influence on him as well. But how?

Think about the drastic cultural and moral changes that have occurred just in the past 10 years—never mind the changes in the 50 years since today’s grandparents were growing up. America’s 30 million grandparents could never have imagined the ubiquitous presence of screens, smart phones, social media, nor the redefinition of marriage and what it means to be a man or a woman, nor the utter coarseness of popular entertainment. But this is the only world our nation’s grandkids have ever known.

That’s one reason I recommend for you grandparents my colleague John Stone street’s book “A Practical Guide to Culture: Helping the Next Generation Navigate Today’s World.” It will help you better understand the social pressures and trends your grandkids deal with every day. And it will help you help them as well. And here’s another thing. Our culture wants us to believe that our elders belong in the retirement home or on the golf course. Don’t buy it! In fact, Chuck Colson dismissed the idea that Christians could ever retire. Sure, it might be time to walk away from the 9-5 job and start collecting a pension. But we can never retire from Kingdom work—and certainly teaching our “children and our children’s children” to love and fear the Lord as we are commanded in Deuteronomy is vital Kingdom work. It’s why the Apostle Paul praised Lois, Timothy’s grandmother, who nurtured one of Paul’s most able helpers in his Christian faith (2 Tim 1:5).

And it’s why Chuck himself took a great interest in the spiritual lives of his own grandchildren, praying for them daily, and spending one-on-one time with them. And yet, when was the last time you heard a sermon on the spiritual role of grandparents? And while many churches provide classes on Christian childrearing, very few teach grandparents how to contribute to the discipling of their grandchildren.

That’s one reason one of John Stonestreet’s friends, Larry Fowler, founded the Legacy Coalition, a ministry that encourages intentional Christian grandparenting. Several years ago, Larry said, God began to impress on him and his wife how important it was for them to become involved in the lives of their own grandchildren as additional spiritual influences—even though it meant moving halfway across the country to be near them. As he puts it, “Behind parents, grandparents are the most influential people in the lives of children and youth. We want to help leverage that for the kingdom.” He Legacy Coalition provides resources and training for grandparents and church leaders who want to come alongside the grandparents in their congregations. It also offers ideas for long-distance grandparenting.

This Sunday is Grandparents Day. If you have grandkids, I urge you to reflect on the enormous treasure that God has given you in your grandchildren—and on how God would use you to build them up in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. Chinese Authorities Tear Down Crosses and Close Down Churches in Henan

According to China Aid, Henan authorities have continued to tear down crosses across China. Crosses have been taken down in Zhengzhou, Nanyang, and Yuzhou. ChinaAid reports that Christians sang hymns to encourage each other as a cross was ripped down at Gospel Fellowship Tongxin Church in Anpeng, Nanyang. So far, in the Jinshui District of Zhengzhou, eight house churches have been shut down, but altogether locals have reported that it is difficult to estimate how many churches have been closed. ChinaAid reports that Christians from Zhongmo County were informed by the local government that the crosses would be taken down. Some churches intended to cover the crosses with black veils to conceal them.

According to ChinaAid, Chinese Christian Fellowship of Righteousness made a statement last Tuesday condemning the actions of the Henan authorities, voicing outrage over the treatment toward churches and the destruction of crosses. Reportedly, in the statement, the group states that persecution against religious people, principally Christians, has escalated since February when a policy change was made in China. The statement tells of extreme oppression in the largely Christian province of Henan. Authorities in Henan have taken measures to restrict pastors and have reportedly forced churches to fly China’s flag and display a portrait of the president, violating the Chinese Christian’s freedom of religion.

It is being reported that churches will be merged together to decrease the number to only one or two in each county. Houses of worship are being told not to display crosses outside of the church buildings. Furthermore, pastors and ministers are being required to take government supervised exams which will ask them to answer questions regarding regulations on religious affairs, government practices to secure freedom of religion, and core socialist values, among other topics.

What Happened To My Church?

Church issues are the most frequent inquiry I get here at Olive Tree Ministries. Other leaders tell me the same. What has happened in the last 30-40 years? Many people visit church after church only to walk away disheartened. Others are lifetime members of a church and have seen changes that left it unrecognizable -- spiritually speaking.

At first, members and attendees wonder if they are being a bit too judgmental, but the sad reality eventually sinks in that something has gone terribly wrong. My background is in a fundamental church in Minneapolis that delivered verse-by-verse messages and had frequent prophecy conferences. Try to find that today! You will find a few but they are few and far between. This same church warned me about a coming apostasy back in the 1970s, but who knew it would get so bad starting somewhere in the 1990s. Nothing could have prepared me. First it was music that became the great divider. Nobody minds some guitars and a bass but into the second decade of the 21st Century, ear plugs are handed out as one enters the church sanctuary.

Some churches open with a secular song, dim the lights, add some smoky fog, and have an atmosphere similar to the local bar. All of this is to enhance choruses that will be sung two-dozen times by hypnotized church members. I would learn that it is to attract "seekers" -- a 21st Century term. Bill Hybels admitted that he came up with the term but confessed it didn't work well in his church! Organs and pianos were tossed out 25 years ago because they did not promote "church growth." The over-age 55 crowd was on their own. Some churches threw them a bone with an 8 a.m. service for those with gray heads. That trend began "the great divide" between generations.

Someone made a conscious decision that we should have a "new way of doing church", although many members and attendees agreed there was nothing wrong with old ways of doing church. Terms began being used like "purpose-driven," "seeker-sensitive," "church-growth movement," "postmodernism", "Emergent", and more. People started to hear about love, unity and tolerance. We must be known for what we agree on, not what we disagree on. Everything and everyone must be accepted. Aberrations must be accepted. Sin must be accepted. People loved having their ears tickled. They would be encouraged to "feel good" and have their self-esteem built up. Sound doctrine was being set aside. The saving of souls was being set aside for the entertainment factor and social justice causes. It seemed that many in the church no longer cared that so many were on their way to hell! What an offensive, intolerant thought. But clearly sound doctrine will separate and divide so we must tread lightly in that area. Relevant issues have vanished. Pulpits have become afraid to talk about voting biblical values. Pastors quit speaking in favor of marriage and against abortion. It seemed like an "eleventh commandment" came into the church: Thou shalt not offend. Taking a stand was clearly over.

When it came to issues like Bible prophecy, the silence became deafening! People were told this was "divisive" although rock music in the church apparently was not! Millions are going to be left behind at the Rapture of the Church but there are no warnings about this going out from hardly any church. Instead, pulpits are dispensing Osteen-type messages that talk about "your best life now" on this broken, corrupt planet. This is just a short explanation as to why e-mails and letters pour into this ministry and others asking about how they might find a healthy, relevant church in their neighborhood.

In 2017 my friend Terry James invited me to submit a chapter in his proposed book titled "Deceivers: Exposing Evil Seducers & Their Last Days Deception." I had been doing Christian radio across the country for many years and as I researched programs, I was reminded daily that there had been a straying from sound doctrine. I was confronted with the fact that I had two choices: I could overlook this trend or expose it. I took the warning to watchmen in Ezekiel 33 very seriously and I determined to confront the false teaching head-on and tell the truth about it. I did not want the blood on my hands! I knew this would cost me listeners and friends. I would soon find out that certain radio stations would marginalize me and even ban me for the naming of names. Was this too high of a price to pay? I had to seriously ponder that and count the cost. Could I stick with my plan? It's a big, lonely world. We need all the support we can get. My plan would not win friends -- but it might save some people from making lifelong theological mistakes by revealing who and what could be trusted and not trusted. I began my research by tracing the history of false doctrine and reckless church movements going back to the early 1900s to the present. From mystical madness such as so-called Christian Yoga to the experiential of the New Apostolic Reformation, wolves were prowling around the flock.

At the same time I saw that discernment was going over a cliff as books like "The Shack" and "Jesus Calling" were embraced as much as the Bible. An entire movement sprang up around Todd Bentley who kicked sick people with his biker boot to heal them and this was celebrated. Evangelical organizations like the NAE embraced global warming and called for America to destroy all her nukes. What does this have to do with the gospel? Ecumenism soared and Protestants began embracing Catholicism. Kenneth Copeland announced that the Reformation was over. I observed something called the "laughing revival" and I concluded that it wasn't so funny. I could go on and on. You can see that the odds of you having a healthy, well-balanced church are slim but they are out there! If you have one, thank God for it daily. If you don't, know that you are not alone. Millions visit nearly every potential church in town and walk away perplexed and heart broken. Are they looking for perfection? A few may be but most are not.

They just know today's church would most likely not be recognized by their parents or grandparents. Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail against the church (Matt. 16:18). Having said that, the gates of hell are trying like crazy to penetrate the church, change it, change its message, change its purpose, distort the gospel, and wear down the saints -- pastors included. In summary, GotQuestions.org says, "....the church is not a building or a denomination. According to the Bible, the church is the body of Christ -- all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation (John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12:13). Local churches are gatherings of people who claim the name of Christ.

Members of a local church may or may not be members of the universal church, depending on the genuineness of their faith. The local church is where believers can fully apply the 'body' principles of 1 Corinthians chapter 12: encouraging, teaching, and building one another up in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ." Christ died for the Church and we cannot give up on it! A heavenly endless church service awaits us in Eternity with a celestial choir and orchestra. The preaching will also be out of this world! We'll all be one denomination. The bickering will be over with. We won't insist on our own way. We'll finally be in one accord.
