TWO KINGDOMS FACE TO FACE FOR BATTLE

1Sa 17:1 And the Philistines gathered their armies for battle, and gathered at Socoh of Judah, and pitched between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim. And Saul and the men of Israel had gathered and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in order against the Philistines.

1Sa 17:3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side. And there was a valley between them. And a champion named Goliath came out of the Philistines camp; he was from Gath. His height was six cubits and a span. And a bronze helmet was on his head, and he was armed with scaled armor. And the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of bronze. And greaves of bronze were on his legs, and a bronze javelin was between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam. And his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron. And the shield bearer went in front of him. And he stood and cried to the armies of Israel, and said to them, Why have you come out to set your battle in order? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants to Saul?

1Sa 17:37 And David said, Jehovah who has delivered me out of the paw of the lion and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go, and may Jehovah be with you.

1Sa 17:38 And Saul armed David with his armor, and he put a helmet of bronze on his head. He also armed him with scaled armor.

1Sa 17:39 And David girded his sword on his armor, and he tried to go. But he had not tested it. And David said to Saul, I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them. And David put them off him.

1Sa 17:40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose five smooth stones out of the brook for himself, and put them in a shepherd's vessel which he had, even in a bag. And his sling was in his hand. And he drew near the Philistine.

1Sa 17:42 And the Philistine looked and saw David, and disdained him. For he was only a youth, and ruddy, with a handsome appearance.

1Sa 17:43 And the Philistine said to David, Am I a dog that you come to me with sticks? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

1Sa 17:44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and to the beasts of the field.

1Sa 17:45 And David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of Jehovah of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

1Sa 17:46 Jehovah will deliver you into my hand today, and I will strike you and take your head from you and give the bodies of the army of the Philistines to the birds of the air today, and to the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

1Sa 17:47 And all this multitude shall know that Jehovah does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is Jehovah's, and He will give you into our hands.

1Sa 17:48 And it happened when the Philistine rose and went and drew near to meet David, David hurried and ran toward the ranks to meet the Philistine.

1Sa 17:49 And David put his hand into his bag and took a stone from there, and slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead. And he fell on his face to the earth.

1Sa 17:50 And David was stronger than the Philistine with a sling and with a stone. And he struck the Philistine, and killed him. But no sword was in the hand of David.

1Sa 17:51 And David ran and stood on the Philistine, and took out his sword and drew it out of its sheath, and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, and fled.

‘GOOD TIMES ARE OVER’: HOW THE EU IS PREPARING FOR POSSIBLE WAR WITH RUSSIA

Europe is preparing for possible war with Russia, without the US

Poland is planning to train every adult male for war, Norway is restoring old military bunkers, and Germany has unlocked billions for a historic boost to defence spending.

As fears grow about the reliability of the United States as an ally, countries across the EU are scrambling to prepare for a possible war with Russia.

Danish and German intelligence have warned that NATO should brace for a potential attack in as little as five years.

Many countries are already telling citizens to prepare survival kits in case of a major crisis.

But the increased Russia threat was brewing long before its full-scale invasion of Ukraine and Donald Trump's return to the White House, according to analysts.

Now, Europe is playing catch-up.

Trump support uncertain

Since the end of World War II, Europe has been guaranteed US security.

And for the 31 other member states under the NATO alliance, that meant the US would spring into action if they came under attack.

But President Donald Trump has made it clear that the continent can no longer take US military support for granted.

He has been growing increasingly sympathetic to Russia, while warning the EU must look after its own security in the future.

Now, the EU has had no choice but to to wean itself off its US dependence.

Luigi Scazzieri, assistant director at the Centre for European Reform, said the EU had been neglecting the equipment, stockpiles and readiness efforts needed for high-intensity conflict.

"It proved more convenient to rely on the US," he wrote in an EU defence brief.

"The need for Europeans to urgently strengthen their defences is clearer than ever."

Race to rearm Europe

Europe is taking the security shift seriously.

Norway is bringing back a requirement for all new buildings over a certain size to include bomb shelters, in a practice halted in 1998.

And Cold War military bunkers, sitting inside a mountain, that have been deactivated for 40 years are reportedly being restored.

Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia last month announced they were withdrawing from the Ottawa convention banning anti-personnel landmines.

The countries, which all border Russia, said they were planning to start stockpiling and using landmines again, arguing it was "paramount" to give their troops "flexibility and freedom of choice" to defend NATO's eastern flank.

Poland, Lithuania and Latvia also share borders with Moscow's ally Belarus.

Poland, which spent almost two centuries as a colony of Moscow, is preparing citizens for combat.

The country of 38 million people has started work to ensure all men undergo military training, with the aim to boost its army to 500,000 troops.

Stephan Fruehling from the ANU's Strategic and Defence Studies Centre said the size of European armies would be an issue if Russia does attack.

"Europe just doesn't have the forces that you need to hold front lines," he told the ABC.

"The Russians have lost an awful lot of equipment in Ukraine … but they do have more than a million people in their army.

"Quantity is a quality of its own."

Russia's army has about 1.5 million active troops.

This week, President Vladimir Putin ordered a fresh conscription drive to recruit 160,000 more men.

The defence ministry said it was "in no way connected with the special military operation in Ukraine".

In recent years, NATO has been encouraging countries to build up personnel numbers.

Some countries — particularly in Scandinavia and the Baltics — have reintroduced military conscription in recent years, largely because of the Russian threat.

Threat not taken lightly

Jakub Janda from the Centre for Security Policy in Prague, said the push to rearm Europe was warranted.

"European countries are scared by the scope of Russian preparations for all-out continental war with Europe in upcoming years," he told the ABC.

"If there is a ceasefire in Ukraine, time will start running out as Russia will be preparing for its campaign against NATO on a full scale."

He said Russia had been getting support from countries such as China to scale up its defence industry, and was "clearly preparing for a major conquest in European NATO territories".

The Danish Defense Intelligence Service updated its threat assessment earlier this year, warning Russia could wage a war in Europe within five years.

"Russia's capacity to produce military equipment has increased tremendously," Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen told local media in February.

"It cannot be ruled out that within a three- to five-year period, Russia will test Article 5 and NATO's solidarity."

Similar intelligence has come out of Germany.

NATO's Article 5 mutual defence clause states that an armed attack against one or more of its members shall be considered an attack against all members.

The European Commission is encouraging member states to develop 72-hour survival kits for citizens in case of emergencies, including the possibility of armed aggression against EU countries.

Countries such as Sweden and Finland already have guides available to citizens on how to respond if they come under attack.

Defence spending boom

Europe is also dramatically stepping up defence spending.

NATO's guideline for defence spending remained at 2 per cent of GDP last year, a target set in 2014.

But Mr Trump has urged NATO members to increase that to 5 per cent.

In 2024, he said he would "encourage" Russia to attack any NATO countries that didn't pay.

NATO chief Mark Rutte said he was hopeful the US would still come to the alliance's aid if it came under attack, but was pushing members to "step up and play their full part".

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio attended a NATO meeting in Brussels on Thursday to reassure the alliance it had the Trump administration's support.

He said any talk of the US leaving NATO was "hysteria and hyperbole", but he reiterated that members must agree to significantly ramp up their spending targets for defence.

Poland has come the closest to meeting US demands, increasing defence spending to 4.7 per cent of GDP.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania were moving towards a 5 per cent target in the coming years.

Sweden and France are aiming to raise defence spending to 3.5 per cent of GDP over the coming years, while Finland will increase its spending to 3 per cent by 2029.

NATO will debate officially raising its target at its June summit, which Mr Rutte has said would likely be "north of 3 per cent".

Nuclear deterrence

Professor Fruehling said that even before Trump 2.0, it was becoming evident that Europe needed to address Russia's growing threat.

But Western Europe was only now taking the necessary action.

Europe doesn't know if it can rely on America's nuclear weapons for protection.

Even after the full-scale invasion [of Ukraine], it took a number of years for it to sink in that the good times were over in Western Europe," he said.

"I think people were kind of wilfully ignorant, or closing their eyes to what Russia was becoming."

Last month, Germany passed a major defence and infrastructure spending plan potentially worth up to 1 trillion euros, which contains $AUD5 billion of support for Ukraine.

It represented a radical departure for a country traditionally reluctant to take on large amounts of debt or to spend heavily on the military.

The defence splurge is set to favour European companies, with the EU aiming to move away from heavy reliance on US weapons.

But, one area where that may prove difficult is nuclear capabilities.

NATO countries have been assured that they would be protected by America's nuclear umbrella, which Mr Rutte described as "the ultimate guarantor of our security" that could not be replaced.

European nations are discussing how to tackle the threat of a nuclear attack without US assistance.

Countries are turning to France and the United Kingdom, the only two European nations with nuclear arsenals of their own, for a possible way forward.

But their nuclear arsenal combined hardly compares to Russia and the US.

Where Australia fits in

EU nations are being encouraged to boost security ties with NATO allies that are not members of the EU, including Australia.

Professor Freuhling said that Australia and the EU already had defence industrial links.

And it would benefit Australia to take further steps to demonstrate it was strategically aligned with Europe and Canada.

"If the Trump administration continues the way that that is going, we're going to need all the friends we can get,” he said.

"The rearmed Europe is going to be a pretty important factor … we probably don't want them to forget that we're still here as well."

He added that it would "make sense" for Australia to contribute peacekeeping troops to Ukraine.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has joined talks with the so-called "coalition of the willing", to discuss potentially putting troops on the ground to protect Ukraine.

Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron said a number of countries had agreed to send a "reassurance force" to Ukraine if a peace deal is secured between Moscow and Kyiv.

Mr Albanese did not give a conclusive response as to whether Australia would be part of the force, but he did not dismiss it.

"We are prepared to give consideration to being a part of the actions of democratic countries," he told reporters.

"The struggle of President Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people isn't just a struggle for their national sovereignty, it is a struggle for the international rule of law … And Australia has always stood up for what's right on the international stage."

CENTRAL GOVERNMENT'S ACTION REPORT OF JULY, 2024

The month of July 2024 saw several important developments both within India and globally.

Domestically, India witnessed a new cabinet expansion as the Prime Minister inducted several new faces. Notable among the portfolios assigned included the bifurcation of the Ministry of Environment into separate Ministries of Environment and Climate Change.
On the international front, India participated in key multilateral forums like the BRICS summit as well as the ASEAN-India summit. Several agreements were signed, focused on trade and investment cooperation.
Moreover, India also engaged in high-level diplomatic meetings with important partners like the US, France, and Russia.
On the sports front, the Indian contingent put up a commendable show at the Commonwealth Games held in Australia, finishing third in the overall medals tally.
Key appointments were also announced in various institutions while scientists continued their work on frontier areas.

Healing Gift School Level 1 was conducted from 24^th February to 2^nd March 2025 through Zoom.

Testimonies:

New Soldiers joined the class and learnt in detail about the reason for sickness, and also learnt about inner healing.

WRAPUP 2-FINANCIAL MARKETS FACE FEAR, SHELLSHOCK AS GLOBAL TRADE WAR LOOMS

NEW YORK, April 4 (Reuters) - Alarm about the fallout from President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs gripped global financial markets, with Wall Street's fear level at a five-year high while financial executives expressed shock and worry about economic growth.

Trillions were wiped off stock market values as investors said they were fearful about the risk of recession ahead. U.S. stock markets slumped more than 10 percent in two days, with the Nasdaq Composite now in a bear market, as China imposed fresh tariffs on all U.S. goods, sparking worries of an extended global trade war.

The tariffs prompted "shellshock" among business leaders weighing the potential economic damage, a senior financial executive said. Another executive described a typical industry response to the announcements: "Oh my God, terrible!" Both executives declined to be identified discussing the policies.

The Cboe Volatility Index, an options-based gauge of stock investors' anxiety about the market's near-term outlook, jumped 15.29 points to end at 45.31, its highest close since April 2020.

"A VIX at 40 is a sign of fear for sure," said Joe Tigay, portfolio manager for Rational Equity Armor Fund.

"Usually you see a 40 when there's something more than the usual selloff ... some sort of credit risk, margin risk, something that could cause a contagion that could spill over and across to other asset classes," Tigay said.

Investors, who have been battered by a sharp selloff this year - the S&P 500 is down nearly 14% for the year - have been keeping an eye on the volatility gauge as an indicator of market stress.

"Tariff uncertainty is likely to rattle markets for the foreseeable future," said Jeff O'Connor, head of market structure at Liquidnet.

Friday's 6% S&P 500 drop brought the index close to the 7% circuit breaker threshold that would have triggered a 15-minute trading halt, intended to pause panic selling to avoid a downward stock-market spiral.

Trump's team has characterized the market turbulence as an adjustment that would prove beneficial in the long run, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent linking the selloff to the emergence of China's DeepSeek artificial intelligence tool earlier this year.

The selloff was broad with everything from large-cap to small-cap stocks hemorrhaging. An index of expected stock market correlation closed at a 2-year high on Friday, underlining investors' view that stocks will continue to gyrate in sync.

FEAR IS EVERYWHERE

On Friday, the jump in anxiety was broad with no market spared.

In currency markets, euro one-month implied volatility shot up to a two-year high of 10.45 as the common currency fell about 1% against the dollar.

The greenback, which slumped to a six month low against a basket of currencies on Thursday, has been smacked around by rapidly flowing news on Trump's tariffs and countermeasures from other countries.

"FX pricing has swung wildly and the dollar's movement has been the opposite of smooth," said Helen Given, director of trading at Monex USA in Washington.

Meanwhile, U.S. Treasury yields fell, with the yield on the benchmark U.S. 10-year Treasury note falling to a six-month low of 3.86%, slipping below the widely watched 4% mark.

Safe-haven buying of Treasuries has sent yields, which move inversely to prices, down sharply in recent weeks, driven by concerns about recession and shifting expectations about potential Federal Reserve policy.

Trump's new tariffs are "larger than expected" and the economic fallout, including higher inflation and slower growth likely will be as well, Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Friday. Trump on Friday called on Powell to cut interest rates, saying it was the "perfect time" to do so.

Investors do not expect volatility to subside quickly.

"Until there's actually a change in the policy or evidence of real negotiations going on, the market's going to be under pressure," said Kathy Jones, chief fixed income strategist at the Schwab Center for Financial Research in New York

U.S. high yield corporate bond spreads, an important indicator of financial conditions, surged to 401 basis points as of late on Thursday, their highest since November 2023, as global markets swooned.

The short-term cost of insuring exposure to U.S. government debt has climbed, with spreads on U.S. six-month credit default swaps (CDS) - market-based gauges of the risk of a default - widening to 47.48 basis points as of Thursday, the highest since mid-November 2023, according to LSEG data.

Other indicators of market stress reflect the nervousness that high volatility brings, but no signs yet of full-on panic.

U.S. two-year swap spreads - the difference between two-year swap rates and the two-year Treasury yield - were set for their biggest one-day contraction on Friday since the March 2023 regional banking crisis.

Still, equities remained at the center of the market turmoil.

Global hedge funds and levered exchange-traded funds (ETFs) dumped more than $40 billion of stocks at a breakneck pace, growing increasingly bearish, according to bank notes to clients on Friday.

JP Morgan said in a note that volatility targeting portfolios had between $25 billion and $30 billion in equities to sell in the coming days, as they unwind positions to reduce risk.

Meanwhile, retail investors, following a "buy the dip" strategy, bought $4.7 billion in stocks on Thursday, the highest level over the past decade, JP Morgan said in a note.

"Given the 'elephant in the room' of tariffs which haven't led to any negotiation thus far, it's nearly impossible to call a bottom without evidence of proof," Mark Newton, head of technical strategy at Fundstrat Global Advisors, said in an note. CHRISTIAN LIFE IS WALKING IN FAITH

What is “living in faith”? -Why Churches are dead today- No walk in faith –They Walk by sight

Luk 17:11-19 And as He went to Jerusalem, it happened that he went through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as He entered into a certain village, ten leprous men met Him, who stood afar off. And they lifted voice and said, Jesus, Master, pity us! And seeing them, He said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it happened, as they went, that they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and glorified God with a loud voice. And he fell down on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan. And answering, Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were none found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? And He said to him, Rise and go; your faith has cured you.

Reflection: And they lifted voice and said, Jesus, Master, pity us! They needed healing.

And seeing them, He said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests.

It happened as they went, that they were cleansed.

It seems there is no relevance between what they asked for Jesus and the reply Jesus gave.

They would have expected Jesus to touch them, or at least say a word “Be healed”.

They were simple enough to believe that when they obey what he says, a miracle will happen.

Without even getting healed, they rushed to the priests to get the fitness certificate.

They did not even think,

“How will I show my leprous body to the priest to get the certificate?

This is called blind obedience. Blindly believing and obeying.

AOJ has many testimonies for this. Every time AOJ Sisters change their house, it is a faith experience.

(Narrate the experience of shifting Shekinah from Trichy to Padappai.

From small to big things, AOJ was taught to depend on God.

Kallakkudy Shekinah Centre needed a tube light in the classroom hall. The Lord spoke to a sister who was living 10 km away and she came to the centre with a tube light the same day.

2 Corinthians 5:7, "For we walk by faith, not by sight., Christians should not rely on their own understanding or experiences to guide them in life. Instead, they should trust in God's promises and guidance.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29).

Importance of Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

There are several reasons why it is important for Christians to walk by faith, not by sight.

First, our senses can deceive us. We often see and hear things that are not really there, and we can misinterpret what we see and hear.

Second, our experiences can be misleading. We may have had negative experiences in the past that make us doubt God's goodness or power.

Third, the world is full of distractions and temptations that can lead us astray. If we rely on our own understanding, we may easily be led astray.

During the General Wheel Wing meeting held on 05.02.2025. Sol.Jagadish testified that the Lord blessed him with a child after 15 years. He said that his wife had previously had an abortion and the doctor had said that this could have happened due to a thyroid deficiency. However, both of them prayed with great faith and devotion. He said that the Lord was gracious and blessed them with a child.

It is noteworthy that he came to IWC a year ago and stayed for a week and started worshipping. He worshipped with great preparation. The soldiers of IWC also continued to pray for him. Praise be to God for hearing his prayers. Thank you, Lord.

Sol.Mary Vincent: After 3 months we have started a physical troop Church named “Rehoboth”. It was really difficult for us to start this troop in Chidambarampatti, Manapparai.We hardly prayed every time but we couldn't start. Whenever we started to take the topic of this troop church, we faced a lot of spiritual warfare and physical too. During the Karur and Nagapattinam night prayer which was conducted on January 3rd 2025. Under prophetic prayer we prophesied about this troop church. By the grace of God in the month of Feb we could start this troop.
Sol.Gesha: During my personal worship God spoke to me about conducting a family building class in Manappari. It has been a year we haven't conducted a physical family building class in Manapparai. So, we were hardly praying for conducting the family building class. On 3rd January 2025 in Karur and Nagapattinam night prayer under warfare prayer we prayed for the gift school. God gave us a word from Micah 2:13. As per His promise we were able to conduct the family building class in the month of February. Praise be to the Lord!

SYRIA MASSACRE LEAVES CHRISTIANS ASKING IF THEY’RE NEXT

Adi Oweis was lounging with his kids in his Maryland home last week when his phone lit up with alerts from friends in Syria. Islamists connected to the new government were on their way to the country’s coastal Alawite region.

Graphic videos soon arrived in his group chats: entire families slaughtered and row after row of dead Syrians lining the streets. Some of the victims were his Alawite friends.

Now he fears for the future of the Syrian church.

Oweis, who works for an international nonprofit focused on interfaith dialogue, is a member of the Syrian Greek Orthodox community and lived in Damascus, Syria’s capital, until 2009. He was shocked by the violent campaign against people he once lived among. Christianity Today agreed not to use his real name to protect his Syrian family members.

Islamists killed more than 1,300 people, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Most of the victims were civilians from the Alawite community, the minority Shia sect to which former president Bashar al-Assad belongs. Clashes between government forces and an armed remnant of Assad’s regime in the provinces of Latakia and Tartus last week led to sectarian violence as Sunni militia descended on the region. Alawites, who held prominent positions under Assad’s rule, have a history of living side by side with Christians.

“It freaked us out,” Oweis said. “We couldn’t sleep. It was a very painful day.” Oweis confirmed the deaths of ten Christians through his channels in Syria, but he doesn’t believe the government forces and rogue militia are intentionally targeting the Christian community.

“They see us as infidels, as people who don’t believe in what they believe in,” Oweis said. “At the same time, they don’t see us as people who persecuted them in the past.”

Still, Syrian Christians are worried, wondering if the new government will target them next.

The revenge killings mark the worst violence since the December ouster of Assad. Ahmed al-Sharaa, also known as al-Golani, led the Sunni movement to overthrow Assad and now serves as Syria’s interim president.

Many Syrians welcomed the end of Assad’s 24-year grip on power. His Ba’ath party ruled for more than five decades and was guilty of numerous atrocities against Syrians. Yet Sharaa’s former ties to al-Qaeda have raised concerns that Syrians may have exchanged one violent regime for another. Christians and other minorities, including Alawites, Kurds, and Druze, could face increasing threats, said Nina Shea, director of the Center for Religious Freedom at the Hudson Institute.

“There are no restraints for the protection of religious minorities,” said Shea, who served on the US Commission on International Religious Freedom seven times. “It’s open season on them.”

Some reports characterized Syria’s conflict as ethnic in nature, but Shea believes religion is a primary driver. She tracks Islamist regimes and has observed patterns of religious oppression in Iraq, Nigeria, and Syria.

“[The killings] may not be done on orders, but I’d be surprised if the government protects Christians or anyone else,” she said. According to Shea, Sharaa has a tenuous hold on power and directs a coalition of radicals that includes “hardened jihadist fighters” from Chechnya, Uzbekistan, and other countries.

She believes Syria’s interim president is a radical Islamist who projects a moderate image to the West to secure sanctions relief and aid.

“The United States condemns the radical Islamist terrorists, including foreign jihadis, that murdered people in western Syria in recent days,” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement Sunday. He called on the Syrian government to pursue justice.

Sharaa’s office has said it would create an independent committee to investigate the killings by both sides. “No one will be above the law, and all those whose hands are stained with Syrian blood will face justice—fairly and without delay,” Sharaa said in a speech Sunday.

Oweis questions widely circulated social media posts describing a Christian slaughter, and he said reports claiming a priest died during the attacks are false. But he is still concerned about the future of Syria’s Christian community since Islamists view Christians as “low-hanging fruit.”

“It’s a house you can go to without any resistance because they know that Christians don’t have arms,” Oweis said. “And they are not clustered in one place like the Alawites where they can … resist for a long time.”

Oweis said Syrian forces looted hundreds of Christian homes during the assault on Alawite communities between the coastal towns of Tartus and Latakia. Jihadis stormed the home of Oweis’s friend and spared his life after discovering his Christian identity. But they stole his car.

Theft is so prevalent in Christian communities that churches typically hide their icons during the week and display them on Sundays only, Oweis said. Some icons are more than 400 years old and very valuable.

Shea said the Syrian Christian population has dwindled significantly in the past few decades and now numbers around 300,000. While no surveys have been conducted, Oweis said Catholic and Greek Orthodox estimates are more optimistic and range from 600,000 to 1 million.

Despite the indiscriminate killings and targeted theft, many Christians are choosing to stay in Syria and maintain a low profile, according to Christians with connections in the country. At the same time, some reports suggest that thousands of Syrians are crossing the border into Lebanon.

Those who stay face threats on multiple fronts.

A group of around 500 Kurdish Christians from the northern town of Afrin has been displaced multiple times due to fighting between Turkish militias and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said Majeed Kurdi, a US-based Iraqi Kurdish pastor working with Freedom Seekers International to provide aid to that group. Tensions increased when the new government pressured armed groups to merge with the national military.

The Kurdish Christians, who are currently living in Aleppo, Syria, are part of the nondenominational Good Shepherd Church but currently have no place to safely meet. The church has added more Kurds to its group each time it has evacuated a town or refugee camp, and the group has now swelled to around 1,200, including many nonbelievers who are interested in Christianity, according to Kurdi.

But their situation is precarious.

“[The militias] are, from time to time, trying to attack the Christians,” Kurdi said. “And especially they are looking for the converted Muslims to Christianity.”

Kurdi said Turkish-backed mercenaries who oppose the Kurdish presence in the border region have kidnapped Kurds, including women on their way to the market, as far south as Aleppo.

“All these powers are clashing in the area,” said Kurdi. “That’s why it’s impossible to have unity. Nobody listens to the others.”

On Monday, the SDF agreed to merge with the new Syrian government. Kurdi called the arrangement a “good beginning between both sides,” but he doesn’t think it will curtail Turkish assaults on Kurds. Another looming question is whether the 9,000 ISIS prisoners the SDF currently guards will be transferred to the new Syrian government.

Oweis said the broader Christian community is the least-armed group in Syria. Now Christians fear mobs connected to Sharaa’s ruling Islamist group, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, could turn against them in an instant.

Yet Christians maintain a measure of hope. “We are not good in the art of war at all, but we are good in the art of peace,” Oweis said.

Throughout Syria’s decades of turmoil, Christians have developed relationships with Alawites, Druze, and Sunni Muslims, Oweis said. Some Christian communities have sponsored dinners that bring various factions together.

On Monday, Sharaa claimed the revenge killings were contained and vowed to bring those responsible to justice, but the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights claimed the targeted killings have since continued. Some Syrians question Sharaa’s intentions, and Oweis knows the road ahead will be difficult and complex.

But any pause could be an opportunity for progress.

“The militias left the Alawite region, so we hope for reconciliation,” Oweis said. “For Christians, fighting in an armed manner or resisting them is almost impossible, and it could result in a genocide for the Christian population.”

KINGDOM OF JESUS

Mt. 5: 1-12 When he saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began to teach them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you [falsely] because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Jesus contrasted his way to the way of the world quite emphatically: “He who is not with me is against me” (Luke 11:23).

Mat 11:28-30 Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

DYNAMICS OF THE PULL TOWARD GOD AND AWAY FROM SELF

By contrast the pull toward God and away from self is presented by Christ in his twofold message of deeds and words and, in responding to God’s desire for us. Here the dynamics of Christ’s platform are the opposite of those that of the enemy.

FIRST STAGE: not to seek to have more. Christ is proposing a detachment from possessing, lest we be possessed, and he tells us: blessed are the poor in spirit [Mt. 5: 3].

Desire to possess can curtail freedom in choosing, since we may make choices only because they allow us to have more or we may avoid making choices because they might cost us losing what we already have or could acquire.

Material self-sufficiency can obscure for us our need for God, our dependence on God’s love and goodness. Not those riches be in themselves evil. The Patriarchs of Bible were certainly presented as blessed with riches, but they knew themselves in need of God.

Jesus tells us repeatedly:

Do not store up treasures for yourselves [Mt. 6: 14].

Seek the kingdom of God first [Mt. 6: 33].

SECOND STAGE: Not to seek being considered more worthy of honor.

Discipleship is not about recognition and power, as Jesus told John and James after their request for a top place of honor in the kingdom [Mt. 10: 42-45].

He also told his disciples:

I, who am Lord and Master... do the same, wash one another’s feet [Jn. 13: 14]

...the servant is not greater than the Master ...they will persecute you [Jn. 15: 20] ...

what will anyone gain in winning the world and forfeiting one’s life? [Mt. 16: 24-26].

THIRD STAGE:

Foster a humble self-understanding as one who is at God’s service.

Already in the book of Proverbs [30: 8] we are given this prayer-request to God: give me neither poverty nor riches ...lest, being full, I deny you saying ‘Who is God?’.

In the gospel of Matthew [26: 38-42] Jesus prays at Gethsemane:

Not as I want, but as you, Father want and in the gospel of John this attitude of being at his Father’s service is expressed repeatedly: my food is to do the will of the One who sent me [4: 34] ...

I came not to do my will, but the will of the One who sent me [6: 38].

So, the dynamics of the pull toward God and away from self can be recognized as

Not seeking to have more,

Not seeking to be considered more worthy of honor and

A humble self-understanding as being at the service of God.

A pertinent prayer at this point is to ask for light to recognize the reality of these two opposite pulls in our lives and to recognize the two opposite platforms and strategies.

God has a Kingdom, a house, and a throne that is settled in Heaven. He instituted trading & trading floors as one of the tools to bring the increase of His Kingdom to earth so that His Kingdom may be established on earth as it is in Heaven.

Satan wants to take his kingdom from earth to Heaven.

Both kingdoms are looking to expand.

Both kingdoms need man in order to increase. Both houses need souls in order to be built.

The battle lines have been drawn. Whom will I serve?

To which trading floor will I bring my worship? Which Kingdom will overcome?

You are one of those who swings the balance of power into the Kingdom of God

I am OTP Batch 1 soldier. God's greatest gift to me is OTP. I worked as shadow teacher in ARTISAM SCHOOL in Chennai. I was placed in this work through OTP. First, I started a team meeting among the children and parents. God did great miracles among them. Children who could not speak started speaking by the grace of God. Parents testified that children who do not go outside started to go. Generally, whenever they go to public places the children will scream and cry a lot. But after the team meeting, they go outside very quietly. May God be glorified. I joined the work on 1^st April. On the same day, a 3-year-old boy named Darwin arrived at school. He was the only child who cried for a whole month. After that I laid hands on him and started praying. Gradually he became NORMAL. After completing five months, God helped him to go to PLAY SCHOOL in the 6^th month. God blesses every OTP student immensely. He blessed and guided me in the same way. Praise be to God.

ANTI-IMMIGRATION PROTESTS RAGE IN UK, "YOU WILL REGRET," WARNS PM STARMER

Unrest related to misinformation about the mass stabbing last Monday in the northwestern English seaside town of Southport has hit multiple towns and cities.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer warned far-right protesters on Sunday they would "regret" participating in England's worst rioting in 13 years, as disturbances linked to the murder of three children earlier this week flared across the country.

Masked anti-immigration demonstrators smashed several windows at a hotel that has been used to house asylum seekers in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

Unrest related to misinformation about the mass stabbing last Monday in the northwestern English seaside town of Southport has hit multiple towns and cities, with anti-immigration demonstrators clashing with police.

The violence is a major challenge for Starmer, elected only a month ago after leading Labour to a landslide win over the Conservatives.

"I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder. Whether directly or those whipping up this action online, and then running away themselves," Starmer said in a TV address.

There was "no justification" for what he called "far-right thuggery", he added, promising to bring the perpetrators "to justice".

Shops looted, burnt

Footage aired on the BBC showed rioters forcing their way into a Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham. They also pushed a burning bin into the building. It was not clear whether asylum seekers were inside.

Ten officers were injured there, but local police said none of the hotel staff or its clients had been hurt.

In the northeastern English city of Middlesbrough, hundreds of protesters squared up to riot police carrying shields. Some threw bricks, cans and pots at officers.

Protesters there seized a camera from an AFP crew and broke it. The journalists were not injured.

The fresh disturbances came after police said more than 150 people had been arrested since Saturday following skirmishes at far-right rallies in Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Blackpool and Hull, as well as Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Rioters threw bricks, bottles and flares at police -- injuring several officers -- and looted and burnt shops, while demonstrators shouted anti-Islamic slurs as they clashed with counter-protesters.

The violence is the worst England has seen since summer 2011, when widespread rioting followed the police killing of a mixed-race man in north London.

Christian, Muslim and Jewish religious leaders in Liverpool issued a joint appeal for calm.

"We're now seeing it (trouble) flooding across major cities and towns," said Tiffany Lynch of the Police Federation of England and Wales.

Late Sunday, Staffordshire police said another hotel known to have sheltered asylum seekers was targeted near Birmingham.

"A large group of individuals" have been "throwing projectiles, smashing windows, starting fires and targeting police" at the hotel in the town of Tamworth, with one officer injured, said the statement.

Riots first flared in Southport late Tuesday following Monday's frenzied knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party in the northwest coastal city, before spreading up and down England.

They were fuelled by false rumours on social media about the background of British-born 17-year-old suspect Axel Rudakubana, who is accused of killing a six, seven, and nine-year-old, and injuring another 10 people.

Police have blamed the violence on supporters and associated organisations of the English Defence League, an anti-Islam organisation founded 15 years ago whose supporters have been linked to football hooliganism.

Agitators have targeted at least two mosques, and the UK interior ministry announced Sunday it was offering new emergency security to Islamic places of worship.

The rallies have been advertised on far-right social media channels under the banner "Enough is enough".

Participants have waved English and British flags while chanting slogans like "Stop the boats" -- a reference to irregular migrants crossing the Channel to Britain from France.

Anti-fascist demonstrators have held counter-rallies in many cities, including Leeds where they shouted, "Nazi scum off our streets", as the far-right protesters chanted, "You're not English any more".

TWO KINGDOMS -TWO KINGS

Satan sitting on a high mountain in a dark throne (Rev 16:10, Rev 9:2, Rev 18:11-19; Exo 10:21-23; Psa 78:49; Isa 8:21-22; Mat 8:12, Mat 22:13; 1 Pe 2:17)

He cries out and publishes his manifesto – Steal, destroy and kill- Dump in hell as many souls as possible. Go throughout the world. Enter the places where the true believers live. Deceive them. Make them blind. Show them the power of money, position, lust, etc. Make divisions among them, create misunderstandings, make them compete for power, money and position! Go! I send you throughout the world. Very little time is left!

He teaches his strategies to his agents – Dictatorship, suppression, exploitation, discrimination, murder, manipulation, stealing, adultery, oppression under slavery, evil imaginations, laziness, desire for windfall money, not willing to work, selfishness, suicide, etc.

Satan presents his kingdom to Jesus – 3 temptations

Mat 4:3-4 And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But He answered and said, It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."

Mat 4:5-7 The Devil took Jesus up into the holy city and set Him upon a pinnacle of the Temple. And he said to Him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down. For it is written, "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and in their hands they shall bear You up, lest at any time You dash Your foot against a stone." Jesus said to him, It is written again, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God."

Mat 4:8-10 Again, the Devil took Him up into a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve."

FIRST TEMPTATION:

Make sure your material needs are met, regardless of how, and here the how is making material needs an absolute priority. Sure, food is for us a very legitimate need and it is so also for Jesus. But the means proposed mask a disregard for God’s will, which in Jesus’ case would be a disregard for his mission as servant, as the Servant of God of Isaiah’s book. It is a proposition for him to come instead as a pseudo-Messiah coming to meet all our material needs. Once we place material needs as a top priority, we fall into the passion of wanting to have more as an end in itself, regardless of the means used.

SECOND TEMPTATION:

Be sensational, be spectacular... the craving to be accepted. Being accepted is a legitimate desire in itself, for it is something that supports us psychologically and emotionally. The fallacy and slippery road lie in the reason for desiring acceptance and in the means to obtain it. Having a nice home or even a mansion in the suburbs, driving the latest luxury car, wearing an expensive outfit... all this confers status. In our society, having more leads to being accepted more and this fosters a craving for having more, even beyond our legitimate material needs, which then becomes a craving for being considered more worthy of honor, regardless of the basis for such recognition. This is what lurks behind the second temptation as a further rung in the tempter’s ascending ladder.

THIRD TEMPTATION:

Once we consider ourselves so important, having so much recognition, the risk of self-worship, of self-idolatry is so high. Once we feel we have the influence conferred by recognition, we feel that we can decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong. One does not need to be a totally depraved person. It actually happened to King David, a man after God’s own heart [1 Sam. 13: 14]. He was used to ruling what was right or wrong for others to do and so he decided for himself what was right for him on that occasion of sin. So, the dynamics of the temptation, of the pull toward self and away from God, follow most often in this path: desire to have more, leading to desire to be considered more, leading in turn to self-absolutizing, to become our own rulers.

On behalf of Central Chennai on 26.01.2025 (Sunday) the shadow parli was held from 10.00 am to 02.00 pm in Aruldas Hospital premises. About 15 people participated and received the blessings of God. Sol. (Dr) Albert Jonse said the opening prayer and pledge. Sol. Rajesh led the worship for 30 minutes. Sol. (Dr). Albert spoke, sharing the verses of Numbers 13:33 and Psalm 78.41. We should not limit the power of God. We should not be afraid to preach the gospel. We should not think about what others will think of us. He said that he was also afraid to talk about God at first, but later he got courage when he started the group meetings. He said that the sick people who came to him got healing without medicine through the name of Jesus and the word. There was a discussion about the work of missionaries in the shadow parli, missionaries who came from other countries before, and the sacrifices they made as missionaries. Decisions were made. The meeting ended at 2 pm. Then everyone had food and dispersed.

Personal walk with Jesus: Duties of a soldier

Am I faithful in the first duty of AOJ Soldier – setting apart a fixed time for my personal prayer? Do I review that?
Am I faithful in the 2^nd duty of AOJ Soldier sharing Gospel with 2 persons daily?
Am I member of a Troop Church? Or conducting a Troop Church?
Do I take efforts to start a new Troop Church once in 2 months? When did I start a new Troop Church?
Do I engage myself in TIP activities? (spending 2 hours in free service in a week)
Since I am recruited into His Army, I have a duty to stand in the battle.

In Eze 13:5 the Lord accused His people, “You have not gone up into the breaks, nor built the wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in the battle in the day of Jehovah. Am I standing in the battle of the Lord daily?

Jer 48:10 Cursed is he who does the work of Jehovah deceitfully, and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood. Since I am a soldier in AOJ, if I keep back my sword (the double-edged sword “Word of God”) from fighting, I am accountable.

Did I allow the grace of God given to me as a soldier of AOJ, to go in vain by not cooperating fully with the grace of God?

My Family Life:

Duty of husband towards wife and wife towards husband
Duties towards children. If unmarried duties toward spiritual children.
Do I bring up my children in the biblical discipline?
Do my children attend (Troop) or conduct Church, attend CBS?
Do we follow a budget system and teach my children to limit our expenses within the income?

Family building class was conducted in Manapparai on 8^th February 2025. This class helped the people to know the real reason behind the creation of man and woman and the purpose of a family.

Testimonies:

Sol.Shiny: I learnt how parents idolize their kids. Children need to interact with God and as a parent we need to leave them to interact with God. I understood about the husband-and-wife relationship. I learnt about symbiotic bonding, love, obedience and curse. After attending the class, I had an urge to call many people to attend this class. I have given my name for working with the family building team and to pray for it.
Sol.Venkatesan: The family building class was really useful. I would like to contribute some work in the upcoming classes which will be conducted. I am going to pray for these classes so that many could reach it out.
Sol.Rayyappan: These classes were useful to me. I could learn about the spiritual secrets through this class. I would like to take this class to many places. I would definitely pray for these classes to be conducted in many places. I have given my name as a teacher.

A small insect went into my ears. From my childhood, only through one ear I could hear. I was so disturbed about this, and I couldn't sleep the whole night, I was trying to get a remedy and did something to get the insect out. But I couldn't. I told my morning worship team to pray for this because I could hardly hear the sound because of an insect in my head. By the grace of God, the sound faded and there were no symptoms that the insect was alive. As our morning worship team prayed about it, I got relief by afternoon. Praise the Lord!

70 CHRISTIANS MURDERED IN DRC

On February 13, 2025, militants rounded up 70 Christians in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), took them to a church, and then killed all 70 of them.

Open Doors field sources say the violence began at about 4 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, as militants captured and tied up some 20 Christians in the community of Mayba. The militants are suspected to be members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a rebel group with ties to the Islamic State group.

"[M]ilitants went door by door saying, 'Get out, get out and don't make any noise,'" says an elder in another town about 40 km from Mayba. "Twenty Christian men and women came out, and they tied them up for an unknown destination."

Mayba is predominantly Christian and is located in the North Kivu province in eastern DRC, which has also been home to fierce fighting as another rebel group has taken over territory.
After the 20 were taken, the rest of the village was agitated and began to try to figure out how to free the people who had been abducted. They gathered together to develop a plan, but by the time they met, militants had surrounded their village. Open Doors sources report that the extremists captured about 50 other Christians and tied them up.

All 70 captives were taken to a Protestant church in Kasanga where they were killed inside with machetes or hammers.

Field sources say that even several days after the attack, some families had not been able to bury their dead because of the insecurity in the region. Many Christians have fled the area to somewhere deemed safer.
"We don't know what to do or how to pray; we've had enough of massacres," said an elder in a nearby church. "May God's will alone be done."

"Open Doors strongly condemns this heinous act of violence against civilians and calls on civil societies, governments and international organizations to prioritize civilian protection in eastern DRC where armed groups such as the ADF are operating," says John Samuel*, Open Doors' legal expert for our work in sub-Saharan Africa. "The violence takes place in a context of impunity, where almost no one is held accountable. This massacre is a clear indicator of widespread human rights violations against civilians and vulnerable communities, often targeting Christians, perpetrated by ADF—an ISIS affiliate.

"We further call on the international Christian community to remain in prayer for Christians and vulnerable communities in eastern DRC," Samuel continues. "Pray for an end to violence and that government at all levels will diligently, impartially and transparently address the violence and its effects. Pray for the church in the Lubero territory as she seeks to bring physical and spiritual assistance to the families affected." This is one of the deadliest attacks in the Lubero territory since the ADF started attacks there recently. ADF fighters have killed more than 200 people in this part of the DRC, according to a local news website. The ADF has long carried out brutal attacks in North Kivu province. Thousands of Christians have been displaced multiple times or killed, houses have been looted and burned down, schools have been relocated, churches and health facilities have been forced to close, and several Christian villages have been abandoned because of the violence.

THREE KINDS OF HUMILITY

TO HUMBLE MYSELF TO TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO GOD

The first kind of humility: This is when I humble myself and obey the law of God in all things, so much so that even if I were made lord of all creation, or in order to save my life here on earth, I would not consent or deliberately commit a sin. I choose to never do anything that would cut me off from God.

TO BE READY FOR HONOR OR DISHONOR, POVERTY OR WEALTH, OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR GOD

The second kind of humility: This second kind of humility is more perfect than the first. This is when I am detached from everything, and neither seek nor desire riches over poverty, honor over dishonor, or a long life rather than a short life, provided that in either circumstance I will equally promote the service of God and the salvation of my soul. In addition to this, if I were made lord of all creation, or in order to save my life here on earth, I would not consent to commit a sin.

TO DESIRE POVERTY, DISHONOR, AND EVEN BE A FOOL FOR GOD, SINCE CHRIST WAS The last of these, is the most perfect, because it expresses a desire to be like Christ.

This level of humility is the most perfect humility. Having achieved the first and second kinds of humility, whenever the glory and honor of the Lord would be equally served, in order to more fully imitate Christ our Lord:

Mat 20:28 even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

Luke 22:26-27 But you shall not be so: but the greater among you, let him be as the lesser, and he who governs, as one who serves. For which is the greater; he who reclines, or he who serves? Is it not he who reclines? But I am among you as He who serves.

John 13:14 If then I, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

Php 2:5-8 For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, `who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

Heb 5:8 though being a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

“I desire and choose poverty with Christ poor, rather than riches; insults with Christ loaded with them, rather than honors; and I desire to be accounted as worthless and a fool for Christ, rather than be esteemed as wise and prudent in this world.

1Co 3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool so that he may be wise.

1Co 4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are honorable, but we are despised.

1Co 1:26-28 For you see your calling, brothers, that not many wise men according to the flesh are called, not many mighty, not many noble. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and God has chosen the base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, in order to bring to nothing things that are;

So, Christ was treated before me”. I desire to be like Christ and with Christ in all things. This third kind of humility is beyond what we can accomplish ourselves. Either we love Christ enough to want to be with Him regardless of the situation, or we do not. This level of humility is pure gift from the Father; we can desire it but we cannot make it happen.

Lk 6:22-23 Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall cut you off, and when they shall reproach you and shall cast out your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. For behold, your reward is great in Heaven. For so their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.

By the grace of God on 26th January 2025 from afternoon 2:30 to 4:30 Shadow Parli was conducted in the upper room of JJ Hospital, Trichy. Sol. Ashok Daniel said opening prayer and pledge. Sol. Alphonse led everyone into the presence of God through worship. Sol. Gesha delivered the Hebrew 13:7 message about imitating God's people's faith in Sol. Gesha took the attendance. Introducing the newly appointed SMP's and SMLAs of the constituencies and Oath taking was led by our Zonal speaker Sol. Packiam. Sol. Radha took oath as the Smla of Pudukkottai, Trichy. Sol. Gesha presented a survey report on Mission work done by the Missionary in the East Zone constituencies. Sol.Dr. Petrica presented a report on adopting and inheriting "Andaman and Nicobar Islands". Sol. Packiam led the Discussion and passed the resolution. The discussion was about how to repair the debits by sending missionaries from the constituencies. The resolution was taken

We pray for the addiction of watching anime and many comic pictures which is spoiling the mind among little children. Holy Spirit speaks through prayer to one of our Sol. Eunice to wash away all the things regarding the comic in her house.
We pray to stop the road accidents by stray cattle on the Poonamallee highway. God had replied through District collector by taking many decisions and punishment for the stray cattle owner . This information was announced for one full day to the public in Poonamallee.

Sol.Puratchi Selvi: I have not forgiven anybody unconditionally, now I have done that.
Sol.Stella Mary: God blessed me by making me participate in this class and to forgive many persons in my life.
Sol.Kamalakanni: This training needs to be shared in many places.

Sol.Kavitha: I had bitterness in my heart about 4 persons till now, but after this class I have forgiven them completely.
Sol.Selvi: Generational curse is there in my family, now I learnt how to overcome this problem.

During the general meeting of Wheel Wing held on 05.02.2025. Sol. Jagadish testified that the Lord blessed him with a child after 15 years. He said that his wife had previously had an abortion and the doctor said that this could have happened due to a thyroid deficiency. However, they both prayed with great faith. He said that the Lord was gracious and blessed them with a child. It is noteworthy that he came to IWC a year ago and stayed for a week and started worshipping. He worshipped with great preparation. The soldiers of IWC also continued to pray for him. Praise be to God who heard his prayers. Thank you, the Lord!

EARTHQUAKE 6.1 MAGNITUDE JOLTS NEPAL

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal in the early hours of Friday, shaking homes and waking residents. The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre confirmed that the epicentre was in Bhairavkunda, Sindhupalchowk district, about 65 km east of Kathmandu. The quake hit at 2:51 AM local time, causing panic in the central and eastern regions of Nepal.

Earthquake Felt in Siliguri, Patna

The tremors were not confined to Nepal. Residents in bordering regions of India and Tibet also reported feeling the jolt. While no immediate casualties or major structural damage have been reported, local authorities continue to assess the situation. The tremors were felt in parts of India including in Siliguri and Patna.

Nepal’s Earthquake Risk

Nepal sits in one of the most active seismic zones in the world—classified as Seismic Zones IV and V—making earthquakes a constant threat. The 2015 earthquake, which registered a magnitude of 7.8, killed over 9,000 people and left more than a million buildings damaged or destroyed. Given this history, even moderate quakes raise concerns about potential aftershocks and long-term damage.

Official Warnings and Response

Authorities have advised residents to stay alert for possible aftershocks, as secondary tremors are common after major seismic events. Nepal’s disaster response teams are closely monitoring the situation, and further updates are expected as assessments continue.

The German Research Center for Geosciences recorded the earthquake at a slightly lower magnitude of 5.6 and a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), highlighting potential variations in seismic readings. Regardless of the exact magnitude, the event serves as a stark reminder of Nepal’s vulnerability to earthquakes and the importance of preparedness.

Sol. Dr. Sujatha delivered the message. The Lord sent us to this world for a purpose. When Jesus Christ came to this world, he forsake his divine glory. He emptied himself. He loved the people even when they didn’t. Even to the point of death, He lost all the rights of a man. We too must lose the things of the world, know the cross that has been given to us, and receive the will of God through the Spirit of God. As disciples of Jesus, we must commit ourselves to proclaiming the gospel to nations. Next, the newly appointed Core Team members in Tamil Nadu were introduced by Sol. Mathan.Next, Sol. Leo presented the report on the BFF plans of the newly appointed in charge and the activities of SMPs and SMLAs. Sol. Praveena Yobu clearly explained the plans of Gift Schools from January to June 2025 and the methods of its implementation. Accordingly

A team meeting should be started in each constituency.
A fellowship meeting should be held in each constituency.
In each constituency, people who have completed BFF should be identified.
In each zone, a Shadow Parliament should be conducted.
Daniel Academy level 3 needs to be conducted.

The praise report was presented by Sol. Paul Hudson. Sol. Rayyapan thanked God for the praise report. The Discussion session was moderated by Sol. Shanthini Ebenezer. Many testified to the miracles the Lord had done in each region and glorified the name of God. Sol. Leo read the announcements. Sol. Mary Kumaresan ended the meet with a closing prayer and pledge.

THOUSANDS FLEE SANTORINI AS DOZENS OF EARTHQUAKES RATTLE GREECE'S "INSTAGRAM ISLAND

Greece PM Mitsotakis has urged residents to remain calm as authorities deal with "a very intense geological phenomenon".

Thousands of residents have fled the island of Santorini after a swarm of earthquakes shook the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea on Tuesday morning. According to the BBC, over 300 earthquakes have been recorded in the past two days near the island, and Greece's Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization (OASP) has estimated that the intense seismic activity may continue for many more days if not weeks. Around 9,000 residents have already left the island. Authorities have closed the schools and warned against large indoor gatherings. Greece Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has, however, urged calm.

Santorini, dubbed Greece's "Instagram Island," attracts millions of visitors yearly but is only home to around 2,000 permanent residents. In recent days, many of the locals have fled the island for the safety of the mainland, and for those who've decided to stay in Santorini, Greek officials have warned them to stay alert in the coming days due to the increasing seismic activity.

Over the past three days, hundreds of tremors with a magnitude of 3.0 or more have been recorded in the Aegean Sea, between Santorini and the nearby islands of Amorgos and Ios, as per the BBC. No major damage has been reported on the island so far, but emergency measures are being taken as a precaution. Schools on the island will remain closed until Friday and residents have been urged to avoid large indoor gatherings.

"Everything is closed. No one works now. The whole island has emptied," an 18-year-old local resident told Reuters news agency before boarding a vessel.

On Monday, Greece PM Mitsotakis urged residents to remain calm as authorities deal with "a very intense geological phenomenon". Separately, Santorini's Mayor, Nikos Zorzos, said the island was prepared for seismic activity that "may last many weeks". The island must approach it "with patience and calm", he said, per the outlet. He added that plans were in place to build shelters and provide food for the population should larger tremors emerge.

Authorities have said that the recent quakes were related to tectonic plate movements instead of volcanic activity. Seismologists consider the recent tremors to be minor. However, preventive measures have been put in place in case a larger earthquake occurs.

Notably, Santorini is no stranger to tremors. Its most recent large quake - with a 7.5 magnitude - struck in 1956, killing at least 53 people and injuring more than 100 others.

By the grace of God, a special meeting was held on 31^st December 2024 at 10 pm at Cinemascope, Palavakkam, Chennai to give thanks for the blessings of the past year and to welcome the New Year with praise. Approximately 40 people gathered. Many people participated in this worship through Zoom. The opening prayer was led by Mother. Leema Rose. Sol.Dr. Sujatha recited the pledge. The worship service was conducted by the group of Worshippers from 10 pm to 12 pm. Sister. Angelica gave her New Year greetings to everyone and gave the message of God. This year, 'The Indian Church will return spiritual debts to the US and UK. They declared it as the year of repaying the debt. The message of God was given based on the verses of Kings 4: 1-7. The message was given that the empty vessels (other nations) should be filled with the oil of anointing. That way we repay the debts. The Lord's Supper was led by Sol. Dr. Benedict. Sol. Jaison cut the New Year cake and glorified God. Then the prophetic prayer was led by Sol. Dr. Camelia. Prophesied for gift schools opening, the lost sheep being gathered into the flock, and a few other points and revelations were shared. Testimonies were shared. Sol. Dr. Benedict created a website to record the prophecies and their fulfilments and named it "Book of Prophecy”. Then Sol. Theodore said the closing prayer and pledge. The event came to a happy end. May the name of God be glorified!

In Arakkonam Constituency, the September month fellowship meeting was held by God's grace on 22/09/2024 at Gabriel & Esther Guna's house in Vadaperumbakkam, Chennai. Mother Leema Rose & Sr. Angelica attended the meeting. Nearly 21 soldiers attended from 6 Troop Churches. The Lord revealed the vision to Sis. Angelica to select Sol. Gabriel & Sol. Jothi is the SMLA of Arakkonam and Sholinger and God anointed them in the FM.Sol. Mohana Sundaram SMP presented the praise report and every soldier praised God for all the visions and testimonies. A bible quiz from Matthew chapters 1-14 was conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners and participants.

My father's old hospital, which I had been using for many years, was in disrepair, so I decided to demolish it. Continuous prayers were offered for this. The prayer warriors and many staff members prayed. Thanks to the good souls who prayed. Last April 2024, when I was about to finish, I started a new team of paper garlands. At that time, a new person who was installing a glass window on the 2nd floor unexpectedly fell on the wooden logs that were stocked in pieces. We took him lifeless and brought him to the hospital and gave him first aid. We prayed. He came back to life. But he was unconscious. Immediately, an ambulance was called and he was sent to G.H. and treated there. He regained consciousness in 20 minutes and started talking and walking. A scan of his head was taken and the report was normal. The next day, he came to the work site, met everyone and immersed them in a sea of joy. We took him to my hospital did all the tests again and sent him back home. I am so grateful to the Almighty God for saving him from great danger and giving him deliverance. May the name of God be glorified.

Sipcot's first industrial park in Manapparai, Trichy has started its production (Rhino Scaff Industry). It started in 2013 on 1000 acres of leased land. Infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and drinking water have been developed. When this factory starts operating, the economy will grow in that area and job opportunities will increase. Investments will be attracted; and great progress will be made. Glory to God.
We also prayed for the demolition of buildings built on the roadsides. Accordingly, on October 2^nd, the Supreme Court passed a bill to demolish all religious temples encroaching on roads and water bodies. Glory to God!

RARE SNOWSTORM SWEEPS ACROSS US SOUTH, HITTING FLORIDA

A rare winter storm is bringing snow and freezing rain to parts of the US deep south, closing highways and airports in Texas, prompting a blizzard warning in Louisiana, and shattering records in Florida.

At least nine people are thought to have died due to storm-related traffic accidents and cold exposure, as areas typically known for balmy winters are hit by ice and sleet, as well as snow.

In the country's north, parts of New York state are being hit by another storm that has already brought 18in (45cm) of snow.

More than 1,600 flights within the US were cancelled on Wednesday morning, and 1,765 were delayed, according to online tracker Flight Aware.

Florida is recording the greatest amounts of snow in the state's history, with the National Weather Service (NWS) saying it had received at least 8in, double the record of 4in set in1954.

Snow has stopped falling on the western part of the Gulf Coast but the weather is still a concern for flights and highways throughout the region, the weather service said.

"These travel impacts may linger for several days given the historic heavy accumulations combined with frigid temperatures, as well as the lack of equipment for clearing roads," it said.

The storm is expected to continue moving through the panhandle and into South and North Carolina on Wednesday, even hitting the Outer Banks.

Along the Gulf Coast, more than 108,000 customers were without power, primarily in Georgia (44,391) and Florida (35,435), on Wednesday morning, according to Poweroutage.us

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency in a dozen counties in western New York as communities face the snow and extreme cold. Some near Lake Ontario could experience 2ft to 3ft of snow.

The mayor of Buffalo, Christopher Scanlon, declared an additional emergency on his own, shuttering City Hall and closing Route 5, the Buffalo Skyway, because of blowing snow and other dangerous driving conditions.

Parts of Canada have also been hit by especially frigid winter weather, with extreme cold warnings throughout the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. With the wind chill, temperatures will be as low as -50C (-58F) in some areas.

In the US south, the highest snowfall total recorded by Tuesday afternoon local time was 10.5in in Rayne, Louisiana, according to reports from the NWS.

Parts of Louisiana, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina had received 8 into 12in of snow by Wednesday morning, according to the NWS.

Governors of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, have also declared states of emergency in response to the unusual cold.

Temperatures are expected to fall well below January averages and may surpass record lows stretching up from the coast into the Tennessee Valley.

The storm now hitting the US south began in Texas on Monday evening, and was forecast to spread eastward through Wednesday morning along Interstate 10, a major highway in the region.

State leaders and agencies scrambled to confront the atypical weather.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said Florida's infrastructure was "designed differently" than in states that regularly see snow.

"We're not used to walking in a winter wonderland here in Florida," he said.

DeSantis, like North Carolina Governor Josh Stein, urged residents to stay home.

The extreme weather, part of a bitterly cold air mass that has descended on the south and eastern US, is forecast to linger over the next couple of days.

Around 40 million people, primarily across the southern US, were under some type of weather hazard, Marc Chenard, a meteorologist with the NWS, told BBC's partner CBS News. Another 170 million people from the Rockies to points eastward were under an extreme weather warning or cold weather advisory.

The NWS cautioned that the rare storm could continue to cause "widespread" disruptions in both air and land travel for several days even after the snowfall stops.

We are told in in Hebrews 6:12, "...imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised" It is so important that we learn to exercise patience. With some strongholds, it may take persevering faith to see them come down. However, as we persevere, we will see the faithfulness of God.

By the grace of God, night prayer was conducted on 26.10.2024 from 10.45 pm to 1 am at Perambur Arul Hospital Complex on behalf of North Chennai. 12 people participated. Sol.Rajesh started with opening prayer and Sol.Divya led the worship. God’s Message was delivered by (Dr) Benedict. Why dwell in the middle of the camp? Why did King David want to build a temple for God? To live a peaceful and happy life with God as the center, following His thoughts and rules. When they violate these, the Lord will deliver them into the hands of others. Famine, war and pestilence will strike. Then when we cry and repent, the Lord will deliver. He said that we should fear God. Warfare prayer was conducted and the works of the evil spirits against the servants were destroyed. Next, prophetic prayer was uttered. To clear the garbage, and to reduce POLLUTION we prophesied. After the intercessory prayer, testimonies were shared and the closing prayer and pledge was said by one of the soldiers. Glory to God!

Sol.Geetha: I used to pray for the progress of my son named “Sol.Vimal”. Who didn’t go for any work and was being restless. By the grace of God, he was hired in A.C. Aruldas Hospital. Later, he studied well in the free government curriculum and the training was provided there and got excellent marks in the examination and got the government certificate. I was also praying for my son’s marriage. The Lord answered my prayer and gave a good educated girl in a good family. Glory to God! Thanks a lot, to him.
Sol.Prema: My son is learning karate. He fought with a student who was older than him and won a competition. He went to him and said, "SORRY, brother," so that the person who fought with him would not be humiliated. The teacher and other colleagues praised him for that. God has appointed him as a son who will not be proud of winning but will console the person who fought with him. Glory to God!

It is God's purpose to nurture and sustain these positive qualities through the bonds of one family. He designed humans with a need and longing for positive, loving relationships. Without these connected connections, we suffer untold damage. God is a God of love and light, and He wants us to reflect His love and light in this world. It is a fact that the world is now filled with duality because sin has severed man's spiritual connection with God.

The family reflects the image of God in its structure. The Trinity is three in one. Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three persons. So, marriage as God designed it, is three persons in one: God over the husband, and the husband over the wife. The apostle Paul restates this structure in 1 Corinthians 11:3, saying, “The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man. I want you to know that the head of Christ is God.”

The idea and practice of starting families without all the necessary elements is contrary to the family designed to reflect the image of God. A perfect family is not just a motley group of people who decide to love each other and live together, as some today define it, but a perfect family is not a pair of men and women who decide to make themselves a “family.” With the permanent commitment of marriage, we recognize that unfortunate circumstances that prevent the proper formation and functioning of a family are always beyond a person’s control, and in such cases, which often occur, single parents must learn to rely heavily on God and the church family for support. However, when any of these three basic ingredients of a proper family are missing, everyone involved, including society, suffers greatly.

M6.4 EARTHQUAKE STRIKES SOUTHERN TAIWAN, 44 INJURED

A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck southern Taiwan shortly after midnight Monday, damaging buildings and injuring at least 44 people, according to the island's authorities.

The focus of the temblor, which jolted the island at 12:17 a.m., was located in Dapu Township in Chiayi County at a depth of 9.7 kilometers, the fire agency said. There were no immediate reports of deaths.

Multiple aftershocks hit the area early Tuesday morning.

One of the hardest-hit areas was Tainan's Nanxi district, where a local official said about 100 households suffered damage to their homes, with electricity and water supplies suspended in some areas.

A 51-year-old Nanxi resident said, "I woke up after a sudden big jolt and smelled gas that may have leaked. I don't know what to do." A wall of the resident's three-story house had collapsed with broken glass pieces scattered across a room.

An 87-year-old evacuee at a local shelter said, "I'm scared because of continued aftershocks. I don't want to return home."

Authorities have called for vigilance, warning that major aftershocks may occur over the next three days.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., the world's largest contract chipmaker, said it had temporarily evacuated its employees from several factories in central and southern Taiwan following the powerful quake. All TSMC sites later resumed normal operations, the company added.

WHAT IS SIN?

Sin is trading with satan - To get dominion satan needed to trade with Adam

He needed to get them to legally exchange their dominion for something that he gave them.

The only thing that satan had to offer was sin. 1 John 3:4, 2 The 2:3,7 He can offer sin in many different forms, but sin is the only "product" that he has with which to trade.

Violation of God’s laws and Commandments is sin. 10 Commandments and New Testament Great Commission. Mat 28:19-20, Mat 13:41

Temptation takes you to the Trading floor of the enemy. The moment that the enemy tempts you, you are standing on his trading floor.

You have to choose whether you are going to trade with him or not.

He is offering you something, but to get it you need to partake of sin.

The moment that you choose to partake of sin and take what he is offering, you have entered a trade with him.

You have accepted the sin he offered and now he has a legal right to take something from you.

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Eve chose to say yes to the enemy.

She chose to trade with satan. She disobeyed God and partook of sin.

The moment that she (& Adam) sinned, satan had a legal right to take the dominion away from them. Adam and Eve had freely taken the sin that satan offered to them.

Satan now had the legal right to take something from them.

He took the dominion of the earth.

Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden, sin entered the world, and satan had the start of his demonic kingdom.

Since the time of that first trade, satan has continued to trade with mankind.

He offers us sin, in all its myriad forms, and when we take it, he has the legal right to take anything from us.

Our acceptance of his sin signals the acceptance of a trade. Every time we choose to sin, we trade away a part of our godly inheritance and destiny.

The things that he takes from us are blessings, opportunities, strengths, and gifts that God has made available to us as His sons and daughters.

He wants to steal these away from you so that you live in so much less than what God has for you. Sin is so deadly.

People today consider sin to be a small matter take it light and take it for granted. Man’s weakness, nature, attitude and guilt feeling stop him from turning to God. For a man to turn to God, His grace and mercy are required. Without the working of the Holy Spirit, man will never have a conviction of his sins. When a man turns to God, he doesn’t just realize that he is a sinner but feels that he is the greatest sinner among all sinners. Until one realizes sin’s horrific nature, he would never realize the greatness of the cross of Calvary. When the scene of the cross takes hold of us, we will see the cruelty of sin as seen by the righteous and holy God.

Allahabad BFF Training Testimonies:

Sol.Babu: I have been a member of a big temple called Paris MCG for the last two years. It is located in Jalandhar. I am a car driver there. But I did not get real spiritual healing. I got real healing only after the BFF training here. Glory to God.
Sol.Lakshmi: During the healing class in this training, I was very weak. I fell. They asked me if I had done any wrong against the Lord. When I confessed my mistake, the Lord gave me physical, mental, and spiritual healing. I thank God.
Sol.Rani Devi: I had epilepsy for many years. On the first day of BFF training, when I came to the training place, I fell. I also had a fever. I fell frequently and got injured. I got delivered during the FRP class. Due to certain bondages, I used to get bad thoughts, but through the healing class, I was delivered. When asked if you got delivered during the class then I said; I had already received it. Glory to God!

The meeting started at 09:00 AM on 02.11.2024 at the YMCA Hall, Ernakulam. 45 people including SMPs, SMLAs from 3 parts of Kerala State attended the meeting. After the opening prayer, pledge, and bible reading, a parade was held declaring that Jesus is the King, Lord of lords, King of kings. Sol. Koshi hoisted the flag. Then, they sang a song and marched into the hall holding the flag. The choir team led the worship. Divine message was delivered by Sr. Angelica. She explained Exodus 34:10. When we do what we have to do for God, He will do terrible things and prove us to be His own people. Many more things were mentioned. The Lord's Supper was conducted by Sol. Ponnan. After the Lord's Supper, the soldiers expressed their peace and love.

After lunch, testimonies were shared. They glorified God by mentioning the miracles he had done through the morning worship. Followed by the discussion the main topic taken was about adopting and inheriting other states. The way opened only after putting one foot in the Jordan River. They prayed for God's help to put one foot with courage. Sol.Suma shared about the Shekinah class and how God used her to go to Delhi and pray with great fervor and continue to start the first classes there in 2016. Similarly, Sr. Angelica mentioned how Sol.Sindhu came to Chennai in 2016 with the Kerala team and attended BFF, and then God used her to start this training in Kerala that same month. Everyone realized and accepted the great revelation that God uses everyone to adopt each state and give freedom there by trusting in God alone.

The news that Sol.Arvind (Goa) went to Manipur in the past days and conducted FRP level 1 there encouraged us. Places like Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar were adopted. They prayed specially for these states too. When the lot was cast for other countries, the lot fell for Israel. They planned to take that too and pray for it. They adopted in the beginning of December. They decided to go to the nations. Glory to God!

Sol.Nirmala led us into heavenly court. Many people will lose their properties through the Vaka law and face loss. An appeal was made to stop this policy that is spreading throughout the country. They received many revelations. They prayed for the speedy implementation of the revelations given by God.

Competitions were held on the basis of the scripture. They participated with enthusiasm and got marks. The meeting ended with prayer at 5 pm. Glory to God!

HISTORY OF TROOP CHURCH

The history could be divided into 3 sections. They are2^nd June – 19^th July, 2014 History:

On 2^nd June,2014. The voice heard, “Wind up the present ministries. Concentrate on the new one which I am going to show”.
Mental preparations started. Did not know what the new project would be.
21^st June, 2014 – Confirmation of the same message through a team of servants. Through them the Lord confirmed it and gave a clue that this is going to make an impact on the Church for the next 40 years. Perceived in the spirit it is something connected with the transformation of the Church.
5 days allotted for prayer in a remote place from 27^th June- 1^st July. First day itself the message was confirmed. Received many specifications and details.
Returned to Chennai on 2.7.2014. On 3^rd July, 2014 - 40 hours of prayer started for the launching of the Model Church (Troop Church) which the Lord will establish in India. Started maintaining a diary on the revelations received on Model Church (Troop Church).
From 3^rd July 40 hours of prayer were declared for this intention.
On 6.7.2014 Sunday. Revealed the first message – Fig tree (Mat 21:19.20) and Vineyard, Shared as Sunday Message. (Is. 5:1-6)

Command was received. A meeting was held on 19. 7.2013 and the participants were chosen through prayer. The Lord started giving the contrasts between the on New Model Church (Troop Church) and the existing Church.
The new model and the present model Churches – A bird’s eye view – was given on 8.7.2014. Command to appoint the preparatory team for organizing the meeting. 3 members selected through prayer. They were informed. First meeting was conducted in Padapai on 10.7.2014 from 5.00-7.00 pm.
Prayer started on 9.7.2014. Morning and evening 2 hours each sister and two families praying together for 9 days. On 9^thaccording to Judges 7:21,22 we could see changes. Political, religious, social systems are changing in India. At this time Gideon Army should start the war. Enemies will ask you what is your authority to start this. Like David we have only one credential. Killing the lion and the bear which came to pull away the troop system network and merge it with the Church structure and to register us also as the Church members. Thank God. Now Troops were revived in APT.

PRAYER FOR DIGITAL FRAUD

Sol.Albert: We prayed about the digital fraud that happened in Tamil Nadu and God has marvellously answered it. The Cyber Crime Wing of the Tamil Nadu Police has retrieved ₹2 crore that fraudsters stole from a general manager of a private firm. The scam involves cybercriminals intercepting and imitating legitimate business communications to deceive victims into making unauthorised payments. Email spoofing is a technique used in spam and phishing attacks to trick users into thinking a message came from a legitimate person or entity.

IN OUR IMAGE TO REFLECT GOD’S IMAGE

After God created the universe, the earth, plant life, and all animal life. He created a new creation that was different from all the others in one very important way. He created humans. Humans had fleshy bodies like animals.They were formed from the dust of the ground. (Genesis 2:19), but it was God who breathed into man’s nostrils the ‘breath of life.’ And man “became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). By this act, God gave humans a small part of Himself, thereby raising man from a mere, impermanent animal to a permanent, part-physical, part-spiritual creation. Thus, humans belong to both the physical or natural realm and the spiritual or heavenly realm, possessing a soul and a spirit that come directly from God and are eternal like God. This spiritual body feels, thinks, and relates to the world like God.

This is what God declared in His Word: “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness” (Genesis 1:26-27, 5:1).

As a spiritual being, man is thus able to communicate and have a relationship with God. In fact, He is in needed. In essence, man is like an animal that has the ability to connect with the heavenly world, but if he does not connect with God in the spiritual world, if he lives his life in the physical world, he has failed to live up to the full potential that God created him to be. Then he falls short of the glory of God and lives only as an animal and falls short (Romans 3:23).

The Psalmist asks a question

What is man that you are mindful of him, and the sons of men that you visit them? You have made him a little lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor.

You have given him dominion over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet

(Psalm 8:4) Man, because of his body, is only "a little lower than the angels." But he is not lower than the animals, which are only physical. Thus, man is a kind of, among living creatures, a kind of spiritual being.

Included in the image of God is the ability to possess divine qualities. This includes feelings such as love, joy, peace, security, compassion, and other positive, divine qualities.These include high intelligence, curiosity, complex desires, the need for companionship and relationships, the need to find meaning in life, and a place to worship.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BRACES FOR VICIOUS WINDS AS NEW FIRES BREAK OUT IN REGION

Southern California was bracing for more dangerous winds on Tuesday as new wildfires broke out across the region, which is continuing to grapple with the major fires that have ravaged Los Angeles communities.

Forecasters warned that strong winds would hit southern California for at least two more days. The winds had eased somewhat on Tuesday afternoon after peaking at 60mph (96kph) in many areas, but gusty conditions will return on Wednesday, said Ryan Kittell, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service’s office for Los Angeles.

The fresh high winds – that are coming amid still bone-dry conditions – mark the end of a break in dangerous high fire-risk conditions that have allowed the beleaguered city’s firefighters to largely contain the disastrous blazes that have burnt thousands of homes. The fires have killed at least 27 people and destroyed more than 14,000 structures since they broke out during fierce winds on 7 January.

“If a fire were to get started it could grow pretty fast,” Kittell said. Red flag warnings for critical fire risk were extended through Thursday at 8pm across LA and Ventura counties.

The weather service had issued a warning of a “particularly dangerous situation” for parts of Los Angeles, Ventura and San Diego counties from Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning due to low humidity and damaging Santa Ana winds.

“The conditions are ripe for explosive fire growth should a fire start,” said Andrew Rorke, a meteorologist with the weather service in Oxnard.

Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, said on Monday that the city was prepared for any possible new fires and warned the strong winds could disperse ash from existing fire zones across southern California. She urged Angelenos to visit lacity.gov to learn about ways to protect themselves from toxic air during Santa Ana winds.

Cal Fire and local fire departments have positioned fire engines, water-dropping aircraft and hand crews across the region to enable a quick response should a new fire break out.

Several small fires started in San Diego County. Evacuation orders were issued for the Lilac fire, which had burned about 50 acres (20 hectares). It was growing “with a moderate rate of spread and structures are threatened”, the California department of forestry and fire protection posted. Firefighters made progress on the Pala fire and it was reported as stopped, the agency said. Another blaze, the Friars fire, ignited near a highway on Monday afternoon, prompting a quick response from crews, the San Diego fire department said. Authorities ordered nearby residents to evacuate while others were told to shelter in place as firefighters work to contain the fire.

On Monday, Los Angeles fire crews quickly put out a small brush fire that broke out south of the iconic triple-domed Griffith Observatory.

A man suspected of starting the fire was taken into custody, said David Cuellar, a Los Angeles police department spokesperson. Firefighters also quickly extinguished a brush fire along Interstate 405 in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Granada Hills that temporarily closed the northbound lanes.

Fire crews aggressively fought a blaze that also sparked Monday afternoon in the city of Poway, in San Diego County, and stopped its forward progress.

A small amount of rain is forecast for the weekend in the Los Angeles area, though more gusty winds are expected to return on Thursday, Rorke said. More rain could fall during localized thunderstorms, which would be a “worst-case scenario” if it’s enough to trigger debris flows on scorched hillsides, Kittell said.

Authorities urged people not to mow their lawns to prevent sparking a fire, nor start any fires that could get out of control. They also urged residents to review their evacuation plans and ready emergency kits and be on the lookout for any new blazes and report them quickly.

David Acuna, a spokesperson with the California department of forestry and fire protection, said the biggest concerns are the Palisades and Eaton fires breaking their containment lines and a new blaze starting.

“Don’t do things to start another fire so we can focus on the mitigation of the current fires,” Acuna said.

More evacuation orders were lifted on Monday for Pacific Palisades and authorities said only residents would be allowed to get back in after showing proof of residency at a checkpoint.
