TEACHING: BREAKING BREAD AND DRINKING WINE (COMMUNION) – CAN WE BREAK BREAD AND DRINK WINE AT HOME REMEMBERING THE SACRIFICE OF THE LORD?

 THE LAST WORD: HOLINESS IS KEY IN COMMUNION:

     Just because that we conclude that communion can be given at home itself, it does not reduce the sanctity or importance of holiness in its observance.

     Everyone who takes part in communion has to be holy, according to the word of God. If someone participates un-holy, then he/she is liable to get punished with diseases or death.

     Let us take a look at the word of God in this regard:

 

     1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

 

     1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

 

     1 Corinthians 11:27 [ Examine Yourself ] Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

     1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
          29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

          30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

THE LEGAL ADVICE:

     If you are not holy or you are not ready to forgive your brother or enemy, do not take communion. Before you participate in communion, reconcile with such persons and give up bitterness. Any sin has to be discontinued. Never do the mistake of taking communion while still committing sin(s), the apparent ones or the secret ones. Amen.

 

HOW TO GIVE COMMUNION?

     The Lord has clearly guided in Luke 22:19 and 20. You can follow that procedure.

     The following paragraph is meant for those who still need some guidance. Please remember that in the New Testament, everything has to be connected with the heart and not ritualism. So, this process should not become a ritual.

Begin:

     1) Begin with a prayer invoking the Holy Spirit to bless the communion service. Ask everyone to repent for sins and forgive the enemies. Let everyone sanctify himself/herself. Anyone in the family who is baptised can take the lead role.

     2) Read John 6:53-57 – to stress the importance of communion.

     3) Give one or two minutes to everyone to reflect on the sacrifice of the Lord on the Cross for everyone's sins.

     4) Read Luke 22:19

     5) After reading the above verse, let everyone eat the bread together – with reverence.

     6) Read Luke 22:20

     7) Now everyone shall take the grape juice together – with reverence.

Final prayers, thanking Jesus for giving Himself as a sacrifice for our sins.

CONCLUSION:

     Now you know the truth about communion. Yes, you can administer communion right inside your house, everyday, every week or every month.

     Observe it with holiness.

     Remember the sacrifice of the Lord on the Cross for our sins. Be grateful to Jesus.

     Don’t stop at this. Observe the commandments of the Lord. Go out and preach gospel to the unsaved. Amen.

ISIS Training Children For Next Generation Of Terror

Children under the tyrannical rule of ISIS are being brainwashed and desensitized potentially to create a next generation of terrorists. The extremist group continues to swell its ranks with these youngsters by indoctrinating them into a world of hatred and violence in hopes of spreading aggression long after Iraqi and Syrian government forces topple their regime.  They are cultivating a culture of death.

As early as 2014, disturbing incidents of ISIS abducting children have been reported.

Whenever ISIS has taken control of a town, its brutal methodology has been to execute older men, force the females into sex slavery and intimidate young boys into joining "Cubs for the Caliphate" to be trained as Islamic State's future fighters.

Once in the grip of ISIS, children have their innocence and character stripped away while being force-fed the extremists' hard-line ideology.

Books for primary education are discarded and the pupils have only a Qur'an accompanied by instructional lessons about how to commit acts of terrorism including bomb making, beheading infidels and suicide attacks. The Cubs are given desensitization homework, such as bringing home Caucasian dolls dressed in orange jumpsuits to practice decapitation.

And, a report on terrorism in the European Union conducted by Europol points to these children as a "particular concern."

The eradication of ISIS as a geographical entity will only expand as its jihadists, adult and child, proliferate globally. Malik points out that no government has a significant strategy in place to deal with these children's mental and moral rehabilitation despite the fact that many countries have a legal responsibility to them.

This radicalized next generation of militants could very well be an end game of the Islamic State.

Cobrapost exposes the RSS web of conversion of Christians in Assam

Although it did not make headlines, 31 poor tribal girls, all minors, from Assam brought to Delhi on June 11 last year have ended up in RSS-run schools in Gujarat and Punjab, as Cobrapost finds, which is part of a well-orchestrated conversion programme targeting children from poor minority communities to initiate them into Hinduism at a young age. Given the resources and reach the RSS and its sister organizations command, what Cobrapost investigation reveals may just be the tip of the iceberg.

 Massive increase in persecution against Christians in India

Persecution against Christians in India is increasing at an unprecedented rate but Christians are urging love and forgiveness for their Hindu neighbours, according to the charity Open Doors.

In 2015, Open Doors recorded 179 incidents of men, women and children being beaten by Hindu extremists. For the first quarter of 2016 alone, the charity recorded 132 such incidents.

Christian persecution has increased enormously in India since 2014, said Open Doors. According to Pastor Sundar Singh, Christianity is opposed because of a desire to make India a Hindu nation. 'Homecoming ceremonies' are held to celebrate the 'reconversion' of Christians back to Hinduism.

If Christians refuse to recant their faith, they are chased out of their villages and beaten up, he said.

"I prayed for the people who beat me."

She prayed: "God, please forgive them, because they don't know you."

Her sister Sunita's response embraced self-sacrifice for Christ. "I can die or I can witness. Make me a witness for you," she prayed. As she hid from her attackers in a goat shed, she says: "I prayed that God's will be done."

She and her sister were beaten so hard that five of the bamboo sticks broke.

However, in spite of the persecution, the Church in India is growing fast. Pastors emphasise the need to respond with love to the Hindus who persecute them.

Rising persecution in Punjab, India, alarms Christian community

On Wednesday 25 May, in the city of Jalandhar in India’s Punjab state, a Christian was severely beaten by eight Hindu extremists after he protested against Hindu desecration of a Christian graveyard. Even though a complaint was registered with the police on the day of incident, a First Information Report (FIR) was not registered until Monday 13 June.

Masih continues, “They hit me all over my body with many blows using their fists and legs, and then started to hit me in my private parts. One of them was wearing boots and his boot repeatedly hit one of my testicles so hard that I collapsed with the intensity of pain and I almost thought I’ll soon be dead.”Arif Chouhan (centre) said, ““In my 16 years of ministry as a Christian leader, I have not faced such opposition before”

Section 1 - The Old Testament

God’s Master plan

This is why God is thereafter regularly referred to as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They are following this lineage and making it distinct from the lineage that came from his other son, Ishmael.

However, because Ishmael was also a child of Abraham, God promised that he would turn him into a great nation too. Ishmael is the first of the people group we now know as the Arabs. God said…

 

“Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted. But I will also make a nation of the descendants of Hagar’s son because he is your son, too.” –Genesis 21:12-13

The rest of the Old Testament is basically the story of this nation that became known as Israel, this people group that became known as the Jews, and how they stood alone as God’s people in a world full of Mystery Babylon religion manifested as polytheism, sorcery and astrology. They were often persecuted, attacked, enslaved, driven out from their land but God revealed himself to them and through them to the world. They keep losing faith in him and God keeps showing them they can trust him. They turn their back on him and God chases after them.

As we move through the Old Testament years we will see evidence of this. Incidentally, the fact that Isaac replaced the first-born Ishmael as the favoured son is a spiritual root for the Arab’s hatred of the Jews. As descendants of Ishmael, the Islamic world retains the same bitterness and animosity towards Israel as  Ishmael had towards Isaac.

 
From Abraham to Moses As we fast forward from Abraham past Isaac and Jacob, we get to Jacob’s son Joseph and you will no doubt know his famous story. The youngest brother in the family, he was beaten and sold into slavery by his older brothers. Many years of slavery, false accusation and imprisonment later, he ended up in Egypt where he became second in command to Pharaoh. The Egyptian Prime Minister. He was later reconciled with his brothers and the whole family moved to Egypt to be with him there. It is while there in Egypt that the Jewish people really began to multiply.

 

The Bible describes it like this:

These are the names of the sons of Israel (Jacob) who went to Egypt with Jacob, each with his family: Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah; Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin; Dan and Naphtali; Gad and Asher. The descendants of Jacob numbered seventy in all; Joseph was already in Egypt. Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, but the Israelite were fruitful and multiplied greatly and became exceedingly numerous, so that the land was filled with them. Exodus 1:1-7

So just 70 went to Egypt but before long they were multiplying and filling the land. After some 400 years of multiplication the memory of Joseph and that generation disappeared and the Egyptian Pharaoh began to fear that the Jews were becoming too numerous. He regarded them as a threat to national security and imagined that if they were ever to make war against their hosts it would cause a big problem. From this paranoia he decided to oppress them with forced labour with the idea of keeping the numbers down. However they continued to multiply and prosper to such a degree that Pharaoh took more drastic action – enslaving them and subjugating them under Egyptian rule. Again to try and keep their numbers down he commanded that all Jewish boys be killed the moment they are born.

At this point, God stepped in by calling Moses to lead his people out of Egypt, through the desert, and into the freedom of a Promised Land flowing with milk and honey. Pharaoh, as you’ll know, dug his heels in and refused to let God’s people go. In response to this stubbornness, God sent 10 plagues. Now lest you think we were getting off track it is important to realize that these plagues were not arbitrary. They were in fact direct attacks on the false gods that had originated in Babylon.
