THE STORM THAT CHANGED LIFE
John Newton was a slave trader from England. He captured people from Africa and sold them to America. Once, while travelling in this way, an unexpected storm arose, and he was hopelessly stranded for many days. As the ship with the slaves was sinking, Newton was reading a book written by Thomas Kempis. It touched his heart. He dedicated himself to God. And he cried out that God would save them. The Lord spoke to him. The wind and the sea were stilled. That very day, he surrendered himself to the Lord. He became a new creation. He had treated the African people like animals until that movement, and he began to proclaim the good news of freedom to them. Newton broke a long silence on the subject with the publication of a forceful pamphlet, Thoughts Upon the Slave Trade, in which he described the horrific conditions of the slave ships during the passage. He apologised for "a confession. It will always be a subject of humiliating reflection to me that I was once an active instrument in a business at which my heart now shudders." The story of him brought many to think about the slave trade because it was normal in those days to have a slave. Newton and William Wilberforce, leader of the Parliamentary campaign to abolish the African slave trade. He lived to see the British passage of the Slave Trade Act of 1807, which enacted this event. He wrote and sang that wonderful freedom, "Amaz-ing grace How sweet Thou art". He transformed himself into a useful vessel for Jesus. A storm which came brought him to Christ, and his change brought change around him.

The Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (PVUNL) will soon begin generating 800 MW of electricity. Commercial production from the plant is expected to begin after August 15th. The 6.6 km long transmission line has been successfully charged. The project will make Jharkhand electricity-reliant and help meet the state's energy demand.
Medininagar Municipal Corporation of Palamu.The Sahitya Samaj is building a state-of-the-art food complex near Chowk, which will house 35 shops. This complex, built at a cost of ₹5 crore, will boost employment and tourism.

CUBS OF JUDAH
Cubs of Judah, Deborah Wing was conducted on the 15th of January 2026 in the upper room of JJ Hospital, Tiruchirappalli. Around 23 Adolescent girls participated. Four teachers took the class. The girls committed their lives to the Lord. They committed their life to doing evangelism. Most of them were anointed with the Holy Spirit. They saw visions of Jesus, and they got delivered. They got deliverance from sin, sickness and satanic oppression.
They were taught about

→Identity in Christ.
→Character Study about Daniel.
→Sin and its consequences.
→Evangelism.
TESTIMONIES
♦One student said she was trying to overcome a sin in her life. She felt whether God would forgive her because she was a believer and regularly went to church. During the anointing, she felt his presence. She realised that God had forgiven her.
♦Another student who didn’t believe in Jesus Christ when people shared the gospel to her. She always used to reply back that “if Jesus appears to me then only, I will believe”. During the anointing Jesus Christ revealed himself to her and asked her that whether she will believe him now. After she encountered Christ Jesus, she accepted him as her saviour. All glory to God!
FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION
Forgiveness and Reconciliation classes were organised by Sol. Mini and Co-ordinated by Sol.Seeta from 05th to 10th January, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Hindi. 19 members participated. All the soldiers attended the Forgiveness and Reconciliation class, and each one experienced forgiveness, and God spoke to each one. Praise God!
