Message for reflection – Sr. Angelica AOJ
SELF-CONFIDENCE
It means believing in yourself, in your abilities and in your gifting. Self-confidence is in no way to indicate your “Superiority” but it is to indicate your “Independence”.
Eg. “I can do it’ is a statement of self-confidence.
“I only can do it” is a statement of overconfidence
While the former statement should be appreciated, the latter should be shunned.
Steps to improve your self-confidence:
- Recognize your insecurities: What makes you uncomfortable, ashamed of yourself or negative experience, whatever makes you feel inferior or unworthy? Deal with it and get rid of it.
- Talk about it to friends and loved ones. Seek their counsel in overcoming that insecurity or failure.
- Remember that no one is perfect. We are always learning. We may not be where we used to be but we have also not arrived where we want to be. Learn to enjoy the journey.
- Identify your strengths and express yourself through them. Everyone is good at something.
- Be thankful. Lack of confidence is a feeling of not having enough of something eg. Fortune, money etc. Learn to acknowledge and appreciate what you do have.
- Be positive even if you don’t feel the same way. Your words have the power to create. When you speak positive, you will think positive and ultimately feel positive.
- Look in the mirror and smile. You will feel happier with yourself and more confident.
- Be up to date with your work knowledge.
- Telephone Etiquette:
Telephone etiquette is a set of rules that apply when talking on the phone.
Answer promptly. before the third ring. Don’t rush through the call and give them an impression that you are busy. The tone of voice should be pleasant and friendly.
Before picking up the receiver discontinue any other conversation or activity.
Greet
If the caller accidently reached you be courteous and helpful.
Learn to listen. Don’t interrupt or argue.
After the conversation reflect key points to the caller, so both will be clear.
Ask the caller’s permission to place them on hold.
Learn how to handle several calls simultaneously with ease and grace. Don’t forget who was first.
Be ready to take notes
When hanging up the phone, thank the guest for calling and make sure the caller hangs up first.
Handling Difficult Callers: If there is a problem be concerned and apologetic.
Never say: Instead say:
“I don’t know” “Let me find out for you:
“You’re wrong” “Here is what I understand”.

SHADOW PARLI ACTIVITIES
Model Shadow Parli was conducted online on 30th January 2024.19 members Participated. Dr.Benedict explained every step of Shadow Parli. Chennai Kilambakkam Bus Terminal, facilitating a structured debate among the participants.
Model Shadow Parliament (Shadow Parli) is an excellent initiative aimed at fostering critical thinking, debate skills, and civic engagement among participants. Dr. Benedict, the facilitator, plays a crucial role in guiding participants through the process. Here's an outline of the steps involved
- Choosing the Topic: The first step in organizing a Shadow Parli session is selecting a relevant and debatable topic. Dr. Benedict likely considers current events, societal issues, or topics of interest to the participants. In this case, the topic chosen for discussion is the necessity of the Chennai Kilambakkam Bus Terminal.
- Registration Process: To participate in the session, individuals need to register through the designated website. Dr. Benedict provides clear instructions on how to register, likely including steps such as visiting the website, filling out a registration form with personal details, and possibly creating an account. This ensures that participants are organized and prepared for the event.
- Participant Engagement: All four zones of the Aoj Soldiers are encouraged to participate actively in the Model Shadow Parliament. With 19 participants from these zones, Dr. Albert, the discussion leader, ensures that everyone has an opportunity to voice their opinions, contribute to the debate, and engage with one another respectfully.
- Discussion Process: Albert leads the discussion on the chosen topic, Chennai Kilambakkam Bus Terminal, facilitating a structured debate among the participants. He may introduce the topic, provide background information, and establish ground rules for the discussion. Participants are encouraged to present their arguments, support their viewpoints with evidence, and engage in constructive dialogue.
- Encouraging Future Participation: Benedict emphasizes the importance of conducting Shadow Parli sessions regularly. He encourages all Student Managed Programs (SMPs) to organize and host their own Shadow Parli sessions. Moreover, he suggests that all four zones should conduct Shadow Parli sessions every month, promoting ongoing engagement and skill development among participants.
Overall, the Model Shadow Parliament provides a platform for participants to hone their critical thinking skills, engage in meaningful debates, and become more actively involved in civic affairs. Under the guidance of facilitators like Dr. Benedict and Dr. Albert, participants can develop a deeper understanding of complex issues and contribute positively to their communities.
DAVID SCHOOL OF WORSHIP
I appeal to you therefore, brothers,
by the mercies of God,
to present your bodies as a living sacrifice,
holy and acceptable to God,
which is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,
that by testing you may discern what is the will of God,
what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:1–2
FRP LEVEL (Forgiveness and Reconciliation Programme)
THEY CANNOT JUST DECIDE TO INVADE A BELIEVER
Just as God will not, cannot, impose Himself on someone, neither can evil spirits. As God honours our free will and choice, so must the demons. God will come where He is welcomed and invited, and so will evil spirits. They cannot just decide to invade a believer, they certainly can and do attack us but to gain entrance and possess areas of our life they must be invited. Believers should never fear that evil spirits can come out of one person and enter them. They do not have this right. Christians invite demons when they carry unforgiveness and when they carry anger. If you prayerfully read Matthew 18:23-35 you will see that unforgiveness is a "God-given" right for the tormentors to come to a believer. What a powerful, undeniable truth revealed here and no one ever told me this in the seminary or from the pulpit.
HOSPITALITY GIFT SCHOOL
HOSPITALITY SHOWN TO DAVID AND HIS PEOPLE
2 Samuel 17:27-29 When David came to Mahanaim, Shobi son of Nahash from Rabbah of the Ammonites, and Makir son of Ammiel from Lo Debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim brought bedding and bowls and articles of pottery. They also brought wheat and barley, flour and roasted grain, beans and lentils, honey and curds, sheep, and cheese from cows’ milk for David and his people to eat. For they said, “The people have become exhausted and hungry and thirsty in the wilderness.”

NAZARETH SCHOOL OF FAMILY BUILDING
FAILED FAMILIES OF THE BIBLE - THE FAITH OF CHRISTIAN FAMILIES
The main purpose of this school is to know that our God will rebuild the families that are seen with lack and to equip them in God to live by his will. Failure and brokenness due to sin, family member - death, illness, financial loss, delayed blessings, injustice, infidelity of spouse, discouragement, opposition, debt, deceit, sibling rivalry, unemployment, etc.
Many preachers in today's environment only preach about prosperity and blessings. But the life of a believer is not only about endless blessings and prosperity; Rather, to live with Him as cross-bearers in sufferings, so that the one who made us may make us perfect in holiness. We read in Hebrews 2:10 that we are made perfect through tribulations.
Patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit. The sufferings and tribulations that a believer faces are not to shame Him. We live closer to God through suffering to become more holy which draws us closer to God. Perhaps sufferings and tribulations are a blessing in the life of a believer to correct us, refine us, and test us, so that we may grow more in our spiritual life and know more about Him. Only when we experience suffering we experience God's infinite grace, limitless love, and power.
Abraham, David, Joseph, and Job also faced problems. Prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah and Jonah also suffered. The disciples also experienced tribulations and pains in their lives. Even the Apostle "Paul " was tortured. He was given a physical ailment which acts as satan's messenger to beat him and keep him from being proud. He prayed to the Lord about this and to take it away. But the Lord said, "My grace is all you need for my power is greatest when you are weak" Corinthians 12:7-9. Paul said that he is most happy, then, to be proud of his weakness in order to feel the protection of Christ over him.
So, when you face problems in the family, don't get discouraged. Don't lose hope. Because God can restore and renew what was lost and adorn our family in holiness. Then our whole family will manifest his divine image. This class is about putting our trust in the Lord no matter how our family is.
MORNING WORSHIP TESTIMONY
A sister named Mary was suffering from stomach pain. They diagnosed it as an ulcer and prescribed medicine for it. The pain didn't go down; they went to the hospital and got a scan and the report said that she had a tumor in her stomach. She participated in our morning worship and prayed for this prayer point. Then they sent the tumor for a biopsy and it came back saying it was not a tumor. Even then the doctors told her to have the medicine. He gave medicine to dissolve the cyst and if it does not dissolve then it has to be removed by surgery. But God miraculously healed her. When she went for a scan after 20 days there was no trace of the tumor. May God's name alone be glorified, Amen.
Morning Worship
Morning Worship is going on online (Zoom app) from 5:30 am to 7:00 am in Tamil Nadu and many other States in their own languages.

PROPHECY NEWS
INDIA ‘CANCER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD’, SEES FASTEST RISE IN CASES WORLDWIDE, SAYS REPORT
A recent report on India's health landscape unveiled alarming trends in non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with cancer cases skyrocketing across the country, as per a PTI report.
The 4th edition of Apollo Hospitals’ Health of Nation Report, released on World Health Day 2024, dubbed India the "cancer capital of the world".
According to the report, one in three Indians is pre-diabetic, two in three are pre-hypertensive, and one in 10 suffers from depression. The prevalence of NCDs such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health disorders has reached critical levels, significantly impacting the nation's health.
India: The New "Cancer Capital"
Of particular concern is the surge in cancer cases, surpassing global rates and earning India the title of the "cancer capital of the world." The report warns of a potential healthcare crisis as conditions like pre-diabetes, pre-hypertension, and mental health disorders manifest at younger ages.
The most common cancers in order of occurrence in India are breast cancer, cervix cancer and ovarian cancer among women. For men, the most common cases are instances of lung cancer, mouth cancer and prostate cancer.
Notably, the median age for cancer diagnosis in India is lower than in other countries, but despite this, cancer screening rates in the country still remain very low, the release stated.
Key Findings of the Report
- The report revealed a significant increase in obesity, hypertension, and the risk of obstructive sleep apnea among Indians.
- Obesity rates surged from 9 percent in 2016 to 20 percent in 2023.
- Hypertension cases have increased from 9 percent to 13 percent during the same period.
- A high proportion of Indians were also at risk for Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Urgent Need for Health Screenings, Unified Action Needed
Highlighting the importance of regular health screenings, the report emphasises their role in reducing the risk of cardiac-related ailments by monitoring blood pressure and body mass index levels. While there is a growing awareness of the importance of health checks, there remains a need to expand their reach across India.
Dr Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, stressed the importance of addressing NCDs collectively. She underscored the need for nationwide efforts to combat these diseases effectively through education and personalised preventive healthcare solutions.
"We strongly believe that the healthcare ecosystem and the nation need to come together and have a unified outlook so that we can combat NCDs in the truest sense. The findings demonstrated a significant need for immediate interventions to fight, prevent and reverse the growing epidemic of cancer, diabetes, hypertension and obesity among others. The need to educate the public and create individualised preventive healthcare solutions has never been greater," Dr Reddy said.
She endorsed prioritising investments in health infrastructure, promoting preventive healthcare measures, and addressing health inequities, to make way for sustainable development in the health sector.
Dr Madhu Sasidhar, President & CEO of Apollo Hospitals, highlighted the necessity of innovation in preventive healthcare and improved accessibility. He emphasised leveraging technology to enhance disease prevention, diagnosis accuracy, and patient-centric treatment methodologies.
