MESSAGE FOR REFLECTION
JOURNEY INTO THE WILDERNESS
Exo 5:3 Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please let us go a three days' journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God, lest he fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword.”
These are the words Moses told the people. They needed to go on a journey to offer a sacrifice to the Lord. If they did not take up the journey, they will be affected with pestilence and sword.
What was the sacrifice the Israelites offered to the Lord?
For the meaning of the word “sacrifice” given in dictionary is ‘cost, expense, victim, ransom, forego, give up’ etc.
The Israelites were familiar with sacrifices from the time of Abraham. They knew that whenever they went to worship the Lord, it cost them something. It incurred some expense on their part. They had to buy an animal, a goat, or a couple of birds etc. They brought them to a place and killed them by which they renounced their ownership on them.
But this time the Lord demanded a different sacrifice from them. They had to go on a three days journey. That was the expense, the cost and the loss they had to incur.
The 3 day’s journey meant a separation from the land of Egypt and reaching another land, the land of Canaan. They had to keep themselves three days distance away from the Egyptians. Suppose if a man can walk 50 kms a day, it is 150 kms. Both these people, the Israelites and the Egyptians are going to be separated 150 kms apart. This separation was the “sacrifice” for the Israelites.
Why “separation” is sacrifice?
For the Israelites, everything was the Egyptians. They provided the Israelites with food, clothes, shelter and money,whenever they required it. Their Egyptian masters provided them everything. If the Israelites fell sick, the Egyptians provided medical help. For the marriage of their children, they provided.The Israelites were very much satisfied and complacent with their current way of life and in fact and they kept their Egyptian masters in high esteem for that.
But the Lord was not happy. He could not see His children (children who were born to one man who made a covenant with Him) being kept in slavery. Hence, He wanted to interfere in their lives. Now he takes the initiative.
First of all, they should be liberated from captivity. They should have political freedom. So, the Lord sends His messenger to go and tell His people first that the Lord of their fathers want to visit them. For them “visitation of the Lord” meant “Building an altar and offering a lamb or a goat on that altar” and coming back.
Even though the people seemed to understand it first, when the whole system got squeezed out and when it started negatively affecting them, they withdrew and started rebelling against Moses and expressed their desire ‘better no change’.
By three days journey, the Lord meant a complete separation from Egypt, going away to a different land, possessing it, forming a government and living there in full freedom. This is the only way He can do justice to the covenant He made with their forefathers.
But if this plan is disclosed to the political leaders of Egypt beforehand, it will invite danger. The Israelites were not in a position to grasp it. The Pharaoh will not allow it. If it was disclosed fully, even Moses might withdraw from the venture. Hence the Lord had to move strategically. It could not be leaked out to anyone on the earth at that time. Hence, He fabricates a strategy which is acceptable to the Israelites, understandable to the Egyptian king who had kept them under slavery. Hence the Lord had to take every step carefully. He moved diplomatically with the cunning Pharaoh, emotionally with the Israelites as a loving Father and affectionately with Moses like a friend.
The three days long separation (which they made as long as 40 years) became a must to convince them. The motivation the Lord gave to them throughout this process, was a “New Land flowing with milk and honey”. Why this metaphor of milk and honey? That was the only language they would have understood. All they were concerned about was the basic minimum, food to fill their stomach. Something tasty for their tongues. I believe, may be slaves at that time were denied milk. (Milk tea is costlier than black tea in our villages). And honey would have been a rare delicacy which was denied to slaves.
Look at Pharaoh’s reply to Moses two times.
Exo 8:25 Then Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.”
Exo 8:28 So Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you must not go very far away. Plead for me.”
Pharaoh yielded now to all their pleas except for allowing them to separate from the land. They can do anything within the land “Sacrifice to your God” anything within this land.
When we came out of the convent hundreds of people approached us with a loving request. “We will allow everything; but be inside the convent. Don’t go away from us”. But the only command we had received from the Lord was “To depart”. Nothing less than that meant disobeying him. The Lord did not give us any goody goody promises, nor did He tell us what He is going to do with us in future, what His plans are, whether He will provide a house to stay, people to help us etc...
Only one command “Depart from this place”. Once done, then only comes the next. After departing from the place our eyes were opened.

Be Formed and Form (BFF) Batch 862 was conducted from 23rd to 30th March 2026 in BFF Centre, Palavakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 7 students were raised as warhorses.
TROOP CHURCH
Jehovah Troop Church was started by Sol. Mahalakshmi on 12th December 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Nearly 7 members joined the prayer.
Testimonies:
1.Brother Amit, who was not on talking terms with his sister, was taught about the importance of forgiveness readily agreed to reconcile with his sister. He prepared a message for the first time and shared their experience about meditating on God’s word.
2.Brother Titu shared the message by next week with confidence that God speaks to them.
3.Sister Prakruti and Bhakra Rani who refused to take part in prayers, are now actively taking up the opening and closing prayer and pledge. They have committed to spending personal time with God in meditation to receive boldness from the Holy Spirit.
4.All the members were glad to know they can prophesy with the authority of a disciple, to their problems and given victory over them. The 4 stages of worship are bringing changes in the members to connect with the Lord intimately. Members are praying and worshipping in spirit and in truth for the first time. Families have acknowledged the importance of prayer, which used to be their initial routine, but was later discontinued as they got busy. That had affected their income, and they faced hardship lately. They believe through the AOJ troop church, the Lord has reminded them of their mistakes and opened the way for a fresh start in prayer life.

MCG orders strict action on dirty vacant plots in Gurugram
The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has ordered strict action against dirty vacant plots, with owners bearing the cleaning costs. MCG Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya directed officials to take swift action against violators. According to Dhaiya, "This initiative is about...ensuring that sanitation and beautification standards are maintained for the benefit of all residents."
MCG imposes fines of ₹2.30 lakh in a day for littering in Gurugram
The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) fined 93 offenders 2.30 lakh in a single day for littering and illegal waste dumping, seizing nine vehicles. This action was part of a special drive to enforce solid waste management rules. MCG Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya stated, "The MCG is committed to ensuring strict compliance with rules. No negligence in managing waste will be tolerated."

PRAYER IS VICTORY
Two years ago, sister Albizia Sanga from Jharkhand an OTP student and I came to a village named “Mukkadu”. At that time, we met a gardener's daughter. She was married and had a daughter. Her husband was an alcoholic. So, she was determined desperatly not to live with him. I preached the truth of the scriptures to her. I gathered her parents and prayed. Sister Albizia prayed for her in Hindi. We took her to a nearby beach to relieve her grief. Two years have passed. She is living with her husband. Now, she has a beautiful baby boy. I prayed for the baby. However, he drinks. Let us pray that he will give up drinking. Glory be to God.

INHERITANCE
Inheriting the churches in MANIPUR
The Church of Manipur was inherited by Sol Arvind and Sol Benedict from West India and South India. The Outer Manipur inheritance meeting was arranged by Lalram, L.Haokip and five other ministries from their region. The inheritance was done in a place called Prayer Mountain. FRP call on forgiveness was given, the Shadow System class was given, and the leaders came together to inherit the following denominations. The inner Manipur inheritance meeting was arranged by Sol Sunder and his church members; the church pastor and his family came forward to insert the churches of that area. Sol Arvind and Sol. Benedict were given time in their church in the morning, and a message on FRP and Shadow System was given.
Inheriting the churches in ARUNACHAL PRADESH
All the Mother Churches of various denominations in Arunachal Pradesh were inherited; this was done at Sr Jumie’s Divine Word Touch Ministry Prayer Centre. Sol Sikab, Sol Tari Mama, Jumi Dora and Team took efforts to inherit the churches of Arunachal Pradesh.
NAZARETH SCHOOL OF FAMILY BUILDING
The classes were successfully held in Periyar Nagar from 10.30 am - 06.00 pm on 17.01.2026. Twenty-five adults and seven children participated. Five classes were conducted. Wonderful testimonies arose.

Sol.Premalatha: I thought as usual they will sing songs and give the word. I thought they would give me advice. But they spoke clearly about things that can build a family using scriptures. It was very helpful. I am a believer who knows Jesus. My husband was born into a family that did not know Jesus. However, God helped us to build a family together. My husband also received salvation and led his family members to come to Jesus. He also helped during my higher studies. He even made cooking easier and helped me a lot. Thank you Lord for such a blessing.
Sol.Kasturi: I taught to my children about Jesus from their childhood. I entrusted them to Him. I would lay my hands on their heads and say, "Raise them according to Your will." I would take them to the church and make them feel His presence. My two sons would join me in distributing tracts at railway stations. I was n’t ashamed to distribute tracts. Now my sons do it. My daughter is also a missionary, and the Lord has grown her academically and spiritually. The eldest daughter is working and ministering in London. Glory to God.
Sol.Prabhavat: I invited many people to participate in this gathering, at least 20 people. Ten people came and participated. The Lord rewarded my efforts.

MAGNITUDE 7.4 EARTHQUAKE HITS OFF INDONESIA
A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck in the Molucca Sea off Indonesia's Ternate island early Thursday, killing at least one person.
The quake, which struck at 06:48 local time (22:48 GMT) at a depth of 35km, sparked tsunami warnings which have since been withdrawn.
A 70-year-old woman in North Sulawesi died after being crushed by building debris, and another person broke their leg after jumping off a building, Indonesia's national news agency Antara reported.
While the region experiences high levels of seismic activity, some residents told the BBC this was one of the strongest earthquakes they have felt in at least the past six years.
The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center initially warned that tsunami waves less than 0.3m (1 ft) "were possible" along the coasts of Guam, Japan, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Taiwan. The tsunami alert was lifted after two hours.
Journalist Isvara Safitri, who lives in central Manado, recalled how furniture in her room shook for several seconds.
"It was really strong... My head even felt dizzy," Safitri told BBC Indonesian.
Even the roads outside the house were shaking, she said, adding that the earthquake "feels like the strongest" she's experienced over the past six years.
Yayuk Oktiani, who lives in Bitung, a city on the north-eastern coast of Sulawesi, said she often experiences tremors, "but they're never as strong as this one".
Oktiani was at the market when "everything started shaking". Several stores experienced power outages and as the tremors got stronger, people fled, she told the BBC.
She headed straight for her child's school, which is located "very close" to the sea.
"The situation there was chaotic... The teachers immediately told parents to bring their children home, even though they had only just arrived," she told the BBC.
In Ternate, resident Budi Nurgianto said the walls in his house vibrated for what felt like more than a minute. He rushed outside, into a scene of panic.
"There were many people outside... I even saw some people leaving their house without having finished their shower," he told AFP news agency.
Manado and Bitung are located on the island of Sulawesi, while Ternate is a volcanic island in the North Maluku province.
The epicentre of the quake was roughly midway between Manado and Ternate.
At least two aftershocks, with magnitudes 5.5 and 5.2, followed the major quake, with authorities warning of more to come.
The national geological agency reported "damage to buildings and injuries" about an hour after the initial tremor, but did not provide further detail.
Footage from a search and rescue team in Manado shows residents and officials walking through the rubble at a sports complex, with some shouting "oh my God".
Large pieces of furniture were flung onto the ground, with some metallic structures bent out of shape.
A patient at Siloam Hospital in Manado recalled the frantic efforts to evacuate staff and patients.
"We were sitting there drinking tea... [Initially we] didn't realise it was an earthquake. And then we heard a child scream, 'Come down, hurry up,' " said Admini, 69.
Nurses and doctors quickly set up makeshift treatment areas, out in the open and inside vehicles.
